11/09/2026: We wanted to try the food at this restaurant, which used to belong to a family friend, and we weren't disappointed at all. The fried food was excellent, the forest-themed dishes were a hit, the service was impeccable, and the atmosphere and decor are really airy and stylish. We'll definitely be back.

12/09/2026: Incredible! A small, working-class neighborhood brasserie that's surprisingly good. The terrace is lovely, the welcome and service are excellent, and the food is outstanding. It's also easy to eat vegetarian without sacrificing either quality or quantity. A delightful surprise. A place to recommend to all Toulouse residents.

22/05/2026: The standout meal of a Bordeaux trip that included several more decorated kitchens. Chef Thibaut Gamba's style is delicate and seasonal — the white asparagus with morels and nasturtium read like a thesis on what Gironde produce can do in May, and the lamb course (rare, layered, with a sabayon and broad beans) was the kind of plate where each element earned its place. The amuse-bouche and pre-dessert were equally considered — no filler, no flourish for its own sake. Service was precise without theatre, attentive without hovering. The room — wisteria pergola outside, the plush dining room inside the 1848 building — is the kind of setting other Saint-Émilion restaurants are trying to imitate. We came with our own bottles and the team accommodated graciously, glassware and pacing handled as if it were their own list. One star feels underrated - this is where you want to eat.

20/05/2026: Logis de la Cadène was one of the most unforgettable dining experiences of our entire wedding week in France. The restaurant manages to do something incredibly special — honoring the soul and tradition of Saint-Émilion while carrying an understated modern energy that reminded me of some of the best dining experiences in New York. The food was elegant, thoughtful, and beautifully executed without ever trying too hard. Every detail — from the pacing of the meal to the warmth of the service — felt intentional and deeply hospitable. Quiet luxury in the truest sense. In a region filled with famous restaurants, this was the place we left genuinely excited about. A hidden gem that deserves to be talked about far more.

22/02/2026: Excellent place! Delicious food, perfectly prepared and generous portions of mussels. The atmosphere is warm and friendly; you really feel at home. The staff is welcoming and attentive. A truly delightful experience; I highly recommend it!

27/05/2026: Maison Tatami restaurant is simply excellent, it's so delicious! Everything we tasted was perfect: from the appetizer of soup and coleslaw, to the rice, gyoza, and chicken stir-fried noodles. A true delight from start to finish. In addition, the staff is incredibly kind. The service is both pleasant and very fast. I recommend it 100%!

16/07/2026: We wanted to try something different from our usual routine with colleagues. Good thing we did... We certainly got our fill of change! A dead fly at the bottom of the glass, eggshells in the chocolate mousse, a waitress making snide remarks while serving our food, and... a coulis that tasted like white spirit on the panna cotta, and the waitress explaining, "It's just the coulis that's gone bad, not the panna cotta, I was worried!"... I'll let you be the judge. The two stars are for my dish, which was good, and especially for the waiter, who was very pleasant, patient, and understanding!

20/08/2026: A wonderful stop at Le Bec Gourmand, the service was excellent and the cuisine impeccable. The kitchen was accommodating to our requests as hungry travelers exploring the roads of Burgundy. Everything was perfect in the best possible way. The welcome at this charming little establishment was so heartwarming that we wanted to return for coffee two days later, but life's unexpected turns prevented us from enjoying the delicious dishes at Le Bec Gourmand.

30/08/2026: Set menu (main course and dessert) €30. We ordered two tandoori pork dishes. The pork was swimming in a large amount of Burgundy-style sauce... we had to search for the tandoori spice. There were three vegetables swimming in the sauce, including lentils, and a small bowl of fries for two. For dessert: a "café gourmand" (a selection of small desserts), which wasn't too bad, with several petits fours, including a small pear as hard as wood. And for me, an apricot/strawberry entremet: a completely soggy biscuit, whipped cream, and raspberry jam. In my opinion, there were four pieces of apricot and two or three strawberries. Too much soggy food, not very appetizing. It lacked a crispy base like good pastries... I didn't finish it... a huge disappointment... The decor is a matter of taste, but "atypical" says everything and nothing... in my opinion, very poor taste... and to top it all off, the floor was sticky in front of the till, and a glass of wine was charged at €8 instead of €7, so we had to ask for it to be corrected. The result was a loss of 37 euros, which I really regret... anyway, bye bye.

25/08/2026: The kebab was absolutely delicious! The meat was incredibly flavorful, everything was fresh and perfectly prepared. The sauces they offered were also very good. In the end, I chose the spicy sauce and it was perfect 🌶️🔥 It was the ideal accompaniment to the kebab. I highly recommend it!

11/09/2026: I came here after seeing the positive reviews and was looking forward to treating myself to a nice dinner after two days of work in the area. The presentation was lovely, but unfortunately the food was very disappointing. I ordered the €26 Black Angus noix d’entrecôte, cooked medium. Despite the centre still being pink, the steak was extremely chewy and difficult to eat, and it wasn’t properly warm when it arrived. The fries were also very thin and not hot — honestly, I found them worse than frozen fries. I raised the issue with the waitress while I was eating. I was told the chewiness was because Angus beef contains fat, and if I wanted something else I would need to pay for another dish. I tried to continue eating it but eventually gave up after about half and paid the bill in full. Such a shame because it looked much better than it tasted. Based on my experience, I wouldn’t recommend the Black Angus noix d’entrecôte. Edit on 11/9 to reply the restaurant response Thank you for your response. I fully understand that ribeye has more texture and fat than fillet. My review describes my experience with the particular steak I was served, which I found extremely chewy, with a significant amount of tough tissue, and I was unable to finish it. Regarding the service, I can only describe the conversation as I experienced and understood it. When I raised the issue, I understood from the waitress that if I chose another dish, I would need to pay for it. Had I understood that a replacement would be provided without an additional charge, I would of course have accepted it rather than continuing to struggle with the steak and leaving approximately half of it uneaten. I paid the bill in full and left without making any further issue of it. My review is simply an account of my experience that evening.
