18/05/2026: We had an absolutely remarkable 3-night half-board stay at this establishment. The welcome was very warm and friendly; the owner, Mr. Nougier, truly went out of his way to ensure our satisfaction (car and bicycle parking, escorting us to our room, etc.). The rooms are very spacious, simply but tastefully furnished, and impeccably clean and in excellent condition. We even thought the bathroom was brand new, but it wasn't! The half-board option proved to be a culinary experience in its own right. Each dinner was a delight for the taste buds: refined, varied, and creative gourmet cuisine, showcasing high-quality local produce with elegant presentation. Special mention also goes to the waiter in the restaurant, who was professional, attentive, humorous, and incredibly kind. The prices aren't "budget-friendly," but the value for money is undeniable, and the prices are perfectly justified. A huge thank you to the entire team for their warm welcome and their discreet yet ever-present professionalism. We will definitely return and wholeheartedly recommend this place! Fursac is also an excellent starting point for cycling trips; it's best to have an e-bike (or very strong legs) as the region is quite hilly. The hotel staff also gave us great advice on places to see...

20/12/2025: You absolutely must stop by. The view is magnificent, the owners incredibly friendly and full of humor. (I don't know about the food.) A cherished spot for so many years. In summer it's lovely, with a beautifully flowered terrace. In winter, amidst this array of somber hues, you'll find the sunniest camellias in the country.

08/04/2026: An otherwise ordinary but pleasant restaurant. The premises are clean, the food excellent, and the service courteous. The only slight drawback: the establishment closes around 2:30 pm, and if your meal lingers, you will be (very politely) asked to leave. The prices are very reasonable considering the quality of the dishes offered.

19/06/2026: A healthy and delicious takeaway meal for train travel! So much better than anything else offered at the station or on the train. Today I tried the thin tart with its mackerel galette. No photo, I've already eaten it all. Paris-Brest cream puffs for dessert. A real discovery! Here's the menu for the week.

You can taste every ingredient that was passionately place together. The atmosphere is very pleasant. And the Customer Service Experience was awesome 👏

05/03/2026: My usual crêperie was full, and I stumbled upon this timeless restaurant tucked away in a courtyard near the Quimper train station. Everything seems frozen in the 80s/90s: spacious tables, period decor, a welcoming waiter with his lanyard draped over his arm, a wine list binder with photos and descriptions of the wines and their producing regions, Tavel served in an ice bucket with glasses regularly refilled 😳 The food is simple, homemade, and delicious. Wines are reasonably priced and mostly available by the half-bottle. A very pleasant surprise that I will gladly return to.

23/05/2026: This Saturday evening in May, passing through Valence. We had punch 👍, samosas, a sausage rougail 👌, and a smoked eggplant 👌: the sauces were absolutely excellent, full of flavor, perfectly seasoned... which deserves to be highlighted because it's rare to find Réunion cuisine of this caliber. A truly succulent meal!!! The flavors were perfect, and the rice wasn't overcooked! The dishes were as good as many of the restaurants on the island that we've tried (during several month-long stays)!!! We love Réunion, and tonight we were right there ✈️! Well done, thank you, and best of luck for the future!! If only there were more restaurants like yours in mainland France 😀 P.S.: We only leave reviews on rare occasions

21/11/2025: Discovered by chance at lunchtime today, we're not from around here! A perfect little break before hitting the road again towards Loire-Atlantique. A delicious, flavorful soup that warms both body and soul, followed by a chicken croque monsieur. Simple, effective, and so good when it's homemade!! Thank you
