14/09/2024: Stumbled upon this little gem during our stay in Paris. The food, service and atmosphere was excellent and the prices quite reasonable. We had theboeuf bourguignon, which tasted so good. The restaurant had a romantic feel to it and had a live piano player to help set the mood. Staff was very friendly and helpful with suggestions. Highly recommend.

14/10/2024: De l’entrée au dessert tout était excellent et le personnel adorable. Le cadre est rustique et joyeux avec de jolies peintures. C’est probablement Le meilleur resto de la côte indigo. Anecdote : on a croisé des sangliers sur le chemin du retour :-)

07/09/2024: We went there twice with friends, incredible setting, speed and efficiency of service, nice and quality food and cuisine, small problem the two draft beers only had a little gas (seen with the waiter) they changed the barrel shortly after, in short an address to recommend

05/12/2024: Very disappointed given the rating of the establishment. The decoration is pretty, but the floor is dirty, the service is bad, with poor order taking, a waitress who quickly summarizes the dishes in Japanese (so we don't understand anything) A mediocre coleslaw, good dishes, but not extraordinary. I don't recommend.

04/12/2024: They didn't let us enter the restaurant on the pretext that we had to be fully booked while a friend was a few minutes late, and that in the middle of December with a bitter cold. We could at least sit and wait inside. Customer service and friendliness are 0.

13/12/2024: Everything was perfect from the aperitif to the dessert. The food is excellent, quality restaurant but remember to book as it is regularly full

12/10/2024: Excellent treatment and attention, and the place was super cozy and pleasant. We tried the typical fondue and it was very delicious, filling, you won't go hungry with just that. Highly recommended :)

28/11/2024: Comme l'expression le dit si bien, ne pas toujours se fier aux apparences. La façade du restaurant n'est peut-être pas attirante mais ouvrez la porte et vous aurez un accueil chaleureux avec une belle table. Les différentes entrées, plats et desserts sont fait maison et sont variés. C est la 4ieme fois que je viens en 3 mois et la carte évolue. Cela me plaît beaucoup. Le cuisinier est très doué, la serveuse très pro et le responsable de salle à comme un petit air de Patrick Fiori alors foncé.... très bonne adresse. 🤫🤫🤔

02/11/2024: Excellente adresse, à chaque passage une belle découverte. Une carte qui change très régulièrement on a envie d’y retourner régulièrement. Et des desserts recherchés ce qui ne gâche rien !

29/08/2024: Les Closeaux is a gem of a restaurant in an unassuming cluster of farm style buildings near Amboise. The food, ambiance and service outshone some M-starred restaurants we visited. My appetizer, a caramelized tomato on a bed of tomato aspic accompanied by Gorgonzola ice cream, expertly paired flavors and textures. Husband had the fois gras ( I know, I know, but this is France). Creamy, slightly saltier than the norm, in a good way. My tuna was perfectly medium rare, with a flavorful sauce. His beef was also cooked perfectly medium rare. Desserts included an extraordinary rhubarb tart. The wine list featured local varieties, including a moderately priced Chinon red that blossomed in the glass. This is the stuff restaurant dreams are made of. Don’t let the short drive from Amboise deter you: Google will get you there and back. Dinner for two, including two cocktails, a bottle of wine, and dessert, was about €130, far less than almost any dinner in the States.

24/01/2025: Are you looking for an atypical, authentic place that makes you appreciate the mountains even more... go to Chez Jo! A very warm welcome, a warm atmosphere, dishes each more appetizing than the last... all at reasonable and justified prices. A restaurant worth the detour!

29/11/2024: Un petit restaurant d’une immense qualité - des plats très goûteux, très bien travaillés, un service avenant, des portions très généreuses même sur les produits nobles ( foie gras frais et ris de veau). Un délice absolu pour des prix très raisonnables.

26/08/2024: A very warm welcome and super good food. The atmosphere was warm and friendly. I particularly enjoyed the smoked salmon, which was delicately prepared and served with exquisite salmon riellette. The staff was attentive and smiling throughout the meal. I highly recommend this restaurant to lovers of good food. It is the ideal place for a dinner as a couple or with friends.

01/09/2024: The moment you walk in everyone welcomes you! The food and the warmth of this place is beyond exquisite! I ordered Sole Meunière for dinner and the sauce was incredible, I also had a millefeuille for dessert. All in all an exquisite experience!
