14/04/2026: My first time at this kebab shop, and honestly, you can go there with your eyes closed. The kebab meat is excellent, and even the white sauce is homemade. The kebab plate is very generously filled—a real treat.

27/01/2026: We were very disappointed. The unheated room was freezing. We ate with our coats on. The menu didn't match the price. €18 was far too expensive for what was offered: soup, a salad with three leaves and a sliver of ham, and some industrial-looking pâté and garlic sausage. As for the main course, it was just a pork chop and a spoonful of mashed potatoes. I do not recommend this place.

26/05/2026: A wonderful evening at La Porte Saint-Claire We had an excellent experience last night at this restaurant in Annecy. From the very first bite, the accras were light, perfectly seasoned, and delicious. For the main course, we enjoyed a Caribbean beef fillet and Arctic char, both cooked to perfection with incredibly fresh ingredients. The red berry dessert followed the same theme: simple yet excellent. But what truly sets this place apart is the atmosphere and the warm welcome. Pauline and Théo provide attentive and natural service, without ever being intrusive. As for Laurent, the chef-owner, you can tell he runs his establishment with great care—and has done so for over 30 years. In an industry where restaurants close as quickly as they open, 30 years at the same establishment is no small feat. Our neighbors at the next table had opted for the €27 three-course menu and seemed delighted—a formula we'll likely try next time. A handy bonus: the Porte Sinclair parking lot is right next door. An address well worth a visit in Annecy. See you soon!

05/05/2026: Highly recommended!!! There were 14 of us, and we were all delighted with our meals from appetizer to dessert. The four children were served first and at the same time so no one felt left out. Top-notch, excellent, and efficient, all orchestrated by a very pleasant and smiling team.

18/05/2026: We organized a birthday party at the restaurant. Everything went very well; the manager was very accommodating, and the guests found the food delicious. We were able to bring our own cakes and other treats, decorate the restaurant a bit, and play some music. We had chosen the menus in advance, and the restaurant was able to handle last-minute additions. The bathroom was very clean. There was plenty of parking for everyone. I highly recommend it!

21/05/2026: A former private mansion taken over by a French family with a passion for art, who had the rather brilliant idea of ​​naming it “Lancaster” (I was convinced it was an English hotel 😄). The place is elegant, refined, and welcoming… but what truly makes the difference here is the people. ⭐ Eric, the head waiter, is probably one of the best people I've ever seen in a restaurant. Highly cultured, passionate about history, passionate about his work, and above all, able to adapt to each table with intelligence and ease. I told him that this kind of excellence is becoming rare, and he replied, “It's the ABCs of the profession”… which is precisely what many people forget these days. 🍷 Franchiska, a delightful and very knowledgeable sommelier. The first time, she pulled off a remarkable feat: making me enjoy a white wine when I used to say I almost exclusively drank Chablis 😄 She introduced me to: * Montlouis 2021 from the Loire Valley * Famille Michon – Les Hauts Chemins Both excellent. And on my second visit, when I wanted to order the same wine again, she had me try something else… and it was another success 👏 👨‍🍳 Farid, a very talented chef. I'll be honest: what impressed me the most… was the rice 🍚😅 My wife ordered her fish with rice, and after tasting this simple side dish, I asked to meet the chef because it was so delicious. I even told him he could come work for me just to make rice 😂 🍰 Tom, a very friendly pastry chef as well. The first time, they were out of the soufflé. Eric strongly recommended the very "simple" rice pudding... which was absolutely divine. This time, I finally got to try the soufflé 👌 Regarding the dishes: * Amazing vegetable tempura (it would make anyone love vegetables) * Very good fish and chips * Excellent octopus starter * And the rest of the meal was a delight from start to finish But honestly, the Lancaster's greatest strength remains the duo Franchiska and Eric. They are a cornerstone of the restaurant experience. Well done to the whole team. 20/04/2026: A wonderful discovery. The atmosphere is extremely pleasant and the service is professional. As for the food: they showcase fresh produce and seasonal vegetables. A particular highlight is the delicate aroma that pleasantly perfumes each room. I highly recommend this restaurant, whether you're just passing through or a Parisian.

25/11/2025: Lovely place in Villecroze: we had their 3 course lunch on a Tuesday, 50 cl of wine for 47€. Everything made with care, excellent ingredients and wonderful hospitality by staff. Highly recommended! Easy parking acorss the street, don't miss exploring the Old Town below or Troglodyte caves above!

31/01/2026: It’s been 8 months and I still get speechless every time I think about our wedding weekend at Chateau du Puits Es Pratx! Everything from the 2 years of planning correspondance, to the details and everything through out the weekend was exceptional. I honestly would love nothing more to repeat the weekend again! Lily and Luke were just incredible, Lily handled our initial enquiry where we spoke via email for the 2.5 years prior. We went and visited in 2023 and got to stay and see the property and taste the food, I know after we left that’s where I wanted to get married. The family run business made it so appealing and we just felt like it was perfect. The wedding weekend itself was just amazing, every single person who worked at the chateau felt like part of a big family, and saying goodbye to them was much more difficult than I expected it to be. Lily was amazing with planing all the details throughout the day, while Luke was on hand for anything we needed, and I genuinely felt like nothing was too much for either of them. As we had a smaller wedding we felt like we got to know Lily, Luke and the staff so well over the course of the 3 days. A special shout out to Sacha for the most beautiful flowers, I had no idea what to expect and she organised them beautifully, everyone loved them! The chateau itself was something out of a postcard, having an international wedding, we had people from New Zealand, England and France travel for this and I know they absolutely loved it too. I can honestly say this was our fairytale wedding, I am so grateful that we chose this gorgeous spot in the South of France and will forever be dreaming about this special weekend!
