23/07/2026: I wanted to thank Cecilia (if I remembered her name correctly) who took such good care of me without me even asking. My nose started bleeding during the meal, she noticed immediately and brought me ice cubes in a gloved handkerchief and some tissues. She also helped my son get the ice cream and brought it to our table. She was wonderful, very friendly and pleasant. She made me want to come back. Thank you so much!

23/07/2026: I had an excellent experience at this ice cream shop! From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with a smile by a warm, polite, and very attentive team. The atmosphere is pleasant, the shop is spotlessly clean, and it immediately makes you want to try the many flavors on offer. The ice cream is simply exceptional: it's creamy, generous, and full of flavor. You can tell the ingredients are of very high quality. The selection is impressive, with classic flavors as well as original creations that are definitely worth trying. Every bite is a real treat. The value for money is excellent, the portions are generous, and the service is fast, even when it's busy. The staff takes the time to advise customers and offer samples of certain flavors, which is very much appreciated. It's undoubtedly one of the best ice cream shops I've ever had the pleasure of discovering. I 100% recommend this establishment to all ice cream lovers. I will gladly return and recommend it to all my friends and family. A must-visit address that truly deserves its five stars!

11/07/2026: We used to eat at this restaurant, but on our last visit we were very surprised by the lack of staff. The servers do what they can and keep smiling (thanks to Yannick for his professionalism), but they had to take orders, make drinks (since there was no bartender), answer the phone, and attend to the needs of the customers, who were all in a hurry (which is understandable given the location near the train station). What is the owner doing? Is he more concerned with profitability than with the staff's comfort and the customers' well-being? We'll hesitate to come back.

21/06/2026: We visited the Michelin-starred restaurant Auberge Saint Walfrid. Given its excellent reviews, our expectations were understandably high. Upon arrival, we were seated in a beautiful dining room and looked forward to beginning our culinary journey with a nine-course tasting menu. As the restaurant is located in France, we were naturally greeted in French. Unfortunately, we do not speak French, so we politely asked whether communication in English or German would be possible, as these languages were also indicated on the restaurant’s website. Given the restaurant’s proximity to the German border, we felt this was a reasonable request. One would expect that, after such a request, communication throughout the evening would continue in one of these languages. Unfortunately, this was not the case. Time and again, the staff reverted to speaking French, making it difficult for us to fully understand the explanations and enjoy the experience. The sommelier was another disappointment. When we asked whether a wine pairing was available with the menu, he seemed not to understand the request and responded with several unclear wine suggestions, without explaining which wines would accompany which dishes. The result felt rather disorganized and confusing. Furthermore, we were left with the strong impression that we were not considered particularly interesting or valued guests. The food itself—which was truly outstanding—was often placed in front of us with little or no explanation. There was a noticeable lack of attention and engagement from the staff, and even a smile seemed difficult to find. In summary, the service was deeply disappointing and, in our opinion, not worthy of a Michelin-starred establishment. The cuisine, however, was exceptional and deserves every compliment.

04/06/2026: It is rare these days to find a really comfortable and unique place to stay. And indeed this beautiful Auberge that I found by chance, as it was half way on my route to the UK, is just that. I have returned 3 times and it remains a memorable experience. It has exquisite rooms, pleasant staff and wonderful food and wine. There is a lovely pool too. You wouldn’t know if you passed by in a car what treats lay inside for a weary traveller. Exceptional - I love staying there. Neal

24/07/2026: The food was decent enough, though nothing extraordinary. But the real problem is the absolutely appalling staff. Extremely unpleasant, almost malicious. Avoid at all costs, unless you want to be treated with utter contempt.

20/06/2026: The food is very good, but the welcome from the Portuguese waitress leaves much to be desired.

19/06/2026: The worst couscous I've ever eaten; cold semolina, lukewarm broth, burnt merguez sausage, tasteless and practically cold vegetables, and all of it completely unsalted. The manager said no problem, she'd just add salt at the table! It's unbelievable that they would dare serve this. There are plenty of other options for enjoying delicious Lebanese food in Ivry.

16/07/2026: I'm a big fan of this restaurant on the Gé, lovely terrace, great atmosphere, their cocktails are fantastic and there's a wide variety (Mojitos with lots of different flavors: mango, raspberry, strawberry, blueberry 🫐). The food is excellent, the tarte flambée is delicious and the salads are great too, and for cheese lovers, the Reblochon tarte flambée and the Tarti'fouette are real gems ✨. The servers are friendly and helpful.

12/07/2026: We came on a Saturday evening; the terrace was packed, but we were seated inside. The wine and drinks were decent, but the food was disappointing: a boneless ribeye steak and pasta with guanciale that was nothing special (four tiny pieces floating around on the plate). €19 for pasta with cheese is a bit steep... But the worst part was the €6 charge for five fries. Perhaps the quality of the food drops in high season, but it wasn't worth the price, and we were disappointed.

29/07/2026: We had mussels and fries at La Petite Charlotte restaurant. The welcome was very professional, and we were seated immediately, without any waiting. The servers were friendly, attentive, and helpful throughout the meal. We chose mussels with cream and Roquefort cheese. The portions were generous, the mussels were fresh, well-prepared, and of very good quality. The sauces were delicious and complemented the dish perfectly. A minor drawback, however, was the fries, which I found slightly below the standard of the rest of the meal. This didn't spoil our experience, though. Another real plus was the availability of a children's menu with mussels and fries, which is both convenient and appreciated by families. Overall, a very good restaurant with efficient service, a pleasant atmosphere, and quality ingredients. We will gladly return.

29/07/2026: We receivedn raw food. I mean, totally raw. The meat, the chips, everything. When we returned it, the owner asked us if we wanted it cooked again. I asked, the same one? He said yes.... Probably meant to put it as it is in the microwave? Not sure. Then, when it was time for the bill, he tried several times to have us pay for it, producing different receipts with different amounts. The waiters were runniong about, clearly overworked - they were all very polite and helpful though, thumbs up to the staff. Theres much better places along the canal.
