09/03/2026: I think this is the best kebab I've ever had... The best kebab I can remember, by far. The meat was cooked perfectly, well-seasoned, and there were NO disgusting bits of fat in it. The lady was very kind; she served the pasta and the kebab at the same time (very nice). My partner loved his pasta, I tasted it, and I was surprised again—it was much better than I expected! A real treat. I'm always a little disappointed with kebabs, as if they're always better in my imagination than in reality. Well, not this time. QUITE THE OPPOSITE!! I'll go back as often as I can!

18/01/2026: Passing through Hesdin-la-Forêt for work, I stopped for lunch. I hesitated before going in: I'm young, and the restaurant seemed to attract a rather older clientele. In the end, it was a very pleasant surprise. The staff is truly lovely, and you immediately feel a very family-oriented atmosphere, deeply rooted in village life. It's not at all overly familiar or inappropriate: it's warm, respectful, and natural. A rare balance. The menu is varied while remaining true to local produce, which allows it to appeal to a wide audience without losing its identity. I had a very good meal, with excellent value for money. The place is old, yes, but it's neither dirty nor run-down. It has character. The posters, the decor, everything tells a story. You get the feeling it's a restaurant that lives by its traditions: unique daily specials that change depending on the day of the month (for example, couscous on the first Sunday, blanquette de veau the following Sunday, etc.). This kind of place is something you can't just invent. There's also a beautiful outdoor setting, large tables, big gatherings, themed evenings… in short, a real hub of activity. I'm speaking directly to restaurant owners: this is exactly the kind of restaurant France needs, and that our villages need. These are the places that sometimes embody a part of the village's soul. I'm not from the area, but I will most certainly return during my next business trips. And I would really love the opportunity to experience your large communal tables.

21/02/2026: What a wonderful discovery! I'd walked past Les Louis several times without realizing it was a restaurant. Only the entrance is visible from the street, as the establishment itself is underground in a vaulted cellar. The welcome was very warm and friendly, which is always a good start, and the rest lived up to expectations: generous and varied cuisine. Several regulars were also seated, which was very reassuring! I had a carafe of red wine, which usually makes me a little apprehensive because not all restaurants pay much attention to it, but it was a great experience at Les Louis.

05/03/2026: I went to Apsara with my friends. It was completely bland, soulless, and unwelcoming. The food was disgusting, tasteless, and the Pho was inedible. The broth was sweet, the portion was tiny, and there wasn't much meat. I've never tasted anything so bad. I'm of Asian descent, and the owner never responded to me, saying, "That's just how it is in our culture." She wasn't friendly at all, so I told her she should change careers or cuisine. The Bo Bung was also bad, full of greens at the bottom of the bowl, swimming in sauce. In short, I advise you against wasting your money at this restaurant. Go to the 13th arrondissement or Belleville instead. There's a guy on YouTube who raves about it, but he's clueless and knows nothing about Asian cuisine. Don't listen to these guys. It's absolutely terrible; a 0 for food. I advise you, my friends, against it.

22/03/2026: Good Lebanese restaurant; the food is very good quality and the dishes are prepared with care. Unfortunately, I found the price a bit high compared to some other Lebanese restaurants I've eaten at (€28 for 6 small dishes to share and 2 small kebabs, without dessert or drinks).

02/03/2026: Delicious! Very affordable (€12 per plate) with quick and friendly service. The only downside: the dining room is very noisy; you can't hear yourself think. The vegetarian option is excellent.
