07/12/2025: A good restaurant with good service and generous portions.

06/12/2025: We waited 40 minutes to order drinks, and were served 20 minutes later with two platters of shellfish for 10 people. There were about ten mussels and 12 prawns from the northern section, all of normal size and tiny. The platters looked like leftovers; there was practically nothing left. We even had to ask for water and bread, which are basic necessities when a customer arrives. One waiter was attending to two tables (presumably people he knew). As for us, we were treated like tourists, and the bill was exorbitant. In conclusion, if you want a relaxing evening, not in a canteen, find another restaurant. Avoid this place at all costs: the service, the shellfish dinner, etc.

25/05/2026: Very disappointed with my visit on May 15, 2026. I ordered the chef's special: ribeye steak with pepper sauce and a side of fries, salad, and mixed vegetables. The price was €22. The waiter told me it wouldn't be pepper sauce but mushroom sauce. He brought the dish to my table. I immediately noticed that the piece of meat wasn't ribeye. On my plate, I had two pieces of meat swimming in mushroom sauce. The sauce had also soaked the fries and salad, whose dressing had mixed with the aforementioned sauce. The meat tasted stale. The waiter noticed that my plate hadn't been eaten. I explained why. He confirmed that I was right and that he would pass the problem along. At the register, I refused to pay for my meal. It was accepted "without any apology from management." I'm very disappointed. And I'm not the only one, having spoken to others about it. Problems with food freshness. Problems with staff hygiene. Some of them meet outside the establishment to smoke before each shift. And when they return to their workstations, they don't wash their hands before touching the food. Sanitation problems in the kitchens. Facts observed by staff. When things are good, I say so. And when things are bad, I say so too.

04/04/2026: The food was just incredible! Staff was super nice and lovely location near a quiet slope. Definitely recommend!

04/04/2026: The chicken was so juicy. The portions were large and the fries were crispy. Therefore we decided to come back to do cheese fondue, which was creamy and smooth. As we don’t eat pork we got vegetables and potatoes. We enjoyed both times having lunch here. The service is very friendly and easy going. The guy serving us has such a positive energy. The lady serving us is a bit stressed and running around which makes she is not fully listening, but she made us feel comfortable welcome and checking in with us regularly. The restaurant itself is really authentic and and nicely decorated. The terrace is in the full sun. It is a pleasure to visit this restaurant.

20/05/2026: A huge thank you to the team (though small considering the customer traffic) on Tuesday, May 19th, around 9:30 pm. The person at the counter (with tattoos on their arms) was very energetic and friendly, providing all the necessary information to each customer and the kitchen staff. This made the short wait pleasant. Unfortunately, I can't say the same for the regular counter staff, so the 5 stars are directly for them.

17/04/2026: Excellent restaurant, €26.50 set menu (starter, main course, dessert): everything was excellent and homemade, truly delicious. The service was impeccable, the staff were very friendly and smiling. I highly recommend it, and they also do pizzas and other dishes to take away.

26/05/2026: The primary business is the restaurant, but rooms are still available. You'll receive a warm welcome from the very friendly and accommodating new owners. The restaurant is mainly open for lunch, but it's advisable to book in advance as it's very popular, and for good reason. Excellent value for money.

16/05/2026: A restaurant that ticks all the boxes for quality service! The tripe is remarkably cooked and richly deserves the award bestowed by the Golden Tripe Chef! Highly recommended!

17/04/2026: A sure bet at Cours Julien! And the floor isn't even sticky between two parties 😄 More seriously, the atmosphere is super friendly, both outside and inside, flexible between grabbing a bite to eat, playing the arcade machine, and admiring the best-quality mirror ball in Marseille.

07/05/2026: A magical interlude where we're transported back to the comforting dishes of our grandmother's home cooking, a rural setting where chickens and cats roam freely under the plane tree, fresh produce from the garden and local market. A warm welcome, you feel right at home and we highly recommend it! Reservations only, and open for lunch.

18/05/2026: Expensive, noisy, and with unfriendly service. I don't recommend this restaurant, which enjoys a sort of monopoly in Bois-Plage thanks to its location. It's very expensive for what it is. In season, I prefer the small tapas bar next door. There are more options in La Couarde.

16/04/2026: Delighted with our choice of restaurant for a lovely family meal. A varied menu, delicious and expertly prepared dishes. A truly wonderful culinary discovery. The welcome was very friendly and warm. We will definitely be back.

12/04/2026: Lunch stopover, a very nice discovery, everything was good: Welcome, food, accessibility, parking. The only downside was the rosé, which wasn't chilled but was refreshing.
