29/05/2026: A delight for our taste buds from start to finish with the charcuterie and tapas platter, the red wine, the chocolate fondant, and the myrtle liqueur. Julien gave us a very warm welcome with a smile and offered excellent advice.

29/05/2026: Since reopening, Saint Andrew’s has regained its fantastic momentum. The atmosphere is friendly, the welcome is warm, and the staff is incredibly attentive. Special mention goes to the cocktails, which are perfectly made and truly excellent. It's a place you'll enjoy returning to, whether for drinks with friends or a lovely evening out. I highly recommend it!

08/06/2026: A lovely inn, pleasant service, quality food, and a reasonable bill. We would have become regulars if we didn't live so far away.

06/06/2026: Tonight we were looking for a nice little restaurant for a quick meal. Unexpectedly, we found this place in a small street not far from the Cathedral. Upon entering, they asked if we had made a reservation. We hadn't, but there was still room for two. In short, it is wise to make a reservation if you can. We opted for the 29 euro set menu. There was plenty of choice for the starter, main course, and dessert. Now, this was once again a very positive surprise. Everything was really delicious, well-prepared, and beautifully presented. The food was old-fashioned enjoyment and actually at a very reasonable price. The waitresses were also super nice and very friendly. And the atmosphere was simply pleasantly quiet. In short, highly recommended if you want to enjoy a delicious meal in this town.

10/12/2025: I walked down the street near the Champs-Élysées. I was looking for a place that felt real. I found Pedra Alta. It became the place I loved most in this city. ​The food arrived at the table. It was heavy. It looked like a mountain from the sea. The lobster and shrimp were piled high. I could smell the fire that had cooked them. I tasted the seafood rice. The broth was deep and red. It felt like a warm tide washing over me. I ate the fries and I felt a quiet satisfaction. ​The people working there were bright. They laughed loudly. Their energy filled the space between us. We stood together on the stairs for a picture. I felt their kindness. The restaurant was full of the sound of people eating and talking. It was a good noise. ​The price was honest. The food was vast. I will remember this place. I will come back to sit at this table again. I want to meet that deep ocean once more.

I'm pleasantly surprised; it's delicious, it looks beautiful, it's inexpensive—frankly, a delight! The service was excellent; the owners and ladies behind the counter were super friendly.

19/05/2026: A very nice hotel. The service is impeccable. The restaurant staff is very helpful. Delicious breakfast with some gluten-free options. And a very good fitness center. The spa is also very good. The only downside is the soundproofing of the rooms. We could hear conversations in the hallway and the TV in the next room.

18/05/2026: A wonderful rediscovery! We were looking for a restaurant open on a Sunday at lunchtime, which is quite rare in Meythet, and what a pleasant surprise to find this establishment open! We hadn't been back for years, and the exceptionally warm team gave us a truly impeccable welcome. As for the food, we were delighted: the dishes were of excellent quality, flavorful, and expertly prepared. We particularly enjoyed a foie gras that was absolutely delicious. The service was simply impeccable, and to top it all off, the prices are quite reasonable, perfectly reflecting the quality of the experience. A flawless experience! Thank you to the entire team, and I highly recommend this restaurant.

06/05/2026: Here, we're at the end of the world, it's as if time has stood still! A little piece of Lapland in the high Alps. The snow avalanches impressed me!

12/04/2026: The best mountain refuge/hostel we've ever stayed in, without a doubt! Pierre is incredibly kind, cooks delicious meals, and was a huge help in getting us through to the emergency services (15) after a skiing accident! We ate like kings and slept in clean sheets (unlike at the Glacier Blanc refuge...!). The food here is local, and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. In short, we'll be back! Thank you for everything!

23/05/2026: Sick all night. More details: After booking a table for two four days in advance, we ended up eating inside, poorly seated for the lake view, because the head waitress apparently couldn't remember our name… But it wasn't a big deal, I knew the place and all I wanted was to introduce my companion to the fried food. It was pretty good, the wine wasn't, the waiters were friendly, but the restaurant was showing its age (the restrooms, menus, etc… it's still stuck in the past, like when I used to go there much younger). And disaster struck: as soon as we got home, we took turns going to the restroom to throw up until 4 a.m.

17/05/2026: Reservation not accepted, so no choice of table. Vomiting all night after a fried meal. Shameful! The inn isn't what it used to be!

22/06/2026: A very bad experience. We waited over 20 minutes just for our drinks. The service was deplorable, the staff unwelcoming, and the atmosphere cold. The pizza wasn't anything special. I ordered a strawberry diabolo and was brought lemonade, with the simple explanation that they were out of syrup, without even asking if that was alright. We asked for hot sauce and were served oil. In the heat, seeing the owner carrying meat in a bag was rather unsettling. The only positive point was the cook, who at least had the courtesy to smile. I absolutely do not recommend this establishment.

07/05/2026: I went there twice and was disappointed both times by the poor service. And today I went to get a pizza and they refused my order for no reason (I didn't want to serve you). And the manager speaks rudely to customers and called me ill-mannered and disrespectful.
