05/05/2026: Very good, quiet restaurant with quality products and good staff

01/05/2026: Not a very good restaurant. The €24 lunch menu was offered because it was May 1st. The fish selection was very basic, everything that was good was an extra charge, the salad was served with a tiny piece of frozen salmon, and the waitress was very unfriendly and unpleasant. I absolutely do not recommend it; avoid it!

08/05/2026: The Dartagnan salad (😋) and the duck breast were amazing, perfectly cooked and full of flavor!! Warm atmosphere 🌞🌞 Excellent service

27/01/2026: When I was in Nice, I booked this hotel and was pleasantly surprised. The staff are always friendly and helpful. There's also a lounge where you can relax with a cup of coffee or tea. I had a room with a balcony facing Avenida Massena. The view is great, but the only drawback is the lack of soundproofing, which means you can always hear the trams or any construction noise. The floor was also a bit uneven.

27/01/2026: I just checked in. And Staffs are sooooo nice and kind. It make us happy. Room is comfy and location is also good. Welcome macaron and small wine make us surprised. Everything is perfect.

07/04/2026: A restaurant that deserves a Michelin star; €109 for two. On March 21st at lunchtime, a very good €50 set menu with a glass of wine each. The only slight drawback was a cheese platter with only four goat cheeses out of six. The meal included an amuse-bouche, a scallop skewer, a pear with foie gras, delicious sweetbreads with homemade mashed potatoes (slow-cooked then grilled), and a superb piece of beef with homemade fries cooked in beef fat, a revisited rum baba, and the cheese platter. Excellent value for money.

02/04/2026: The restaurant is easily accessible, even for wheelchair users. The food and service are both excellent.

09/05/2026: Very friendly staff, superb setting overlooking Lac des Montagnès. We went one evening and enjoyed a beautiful sunset through the restaurant window. The dishes matched our order.

01/05/2026: Vegetarian food? I carefully chose this restaurant with vegetarian options to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The lady at reception was lovely and very welcoming, the view is fabulous, although there was a bit of rain, it didn't spoil a great spot. When seated, the lady pointed out on the menu all the fish options. A true vegetarian does not eat fish. So she kindly offered a Vegetarian burger as my main and a green salad with goats cheese as a starter. I really liked the salad, the burger was a vegetable galette, with a slice of cheese on top. The chips were delicious. My husband had a lovely starter of a lardon cream, with jambon and a poached egg. His main was a sole with risotto and a sauce. Both our desserts were delicious 😋 If as a vegetarian you go to this restaurant, please be aware you will be offered fish! Staff very willing to please, but with a limited choice for vegetarians. So suggest the restaurant doesn't advertise vegetarian options as they are very limited.

13/02/2026: I work all over Normandy, and whenever my route takes me through Alençon (or even if I make a detour 🙈), this is my go-to spot for a meal. The owners are very friendly and always offer great advice. Generous salads, fresh ingredients—in short, everything is perfect. I look forward to eating there again as soon as possible!

03/12/2025: Passing through Alençon for a construction project, we were very well received, the service was quick and the food was good, we got our money's worth considering the quality and quantity.

31/05/2026: Highly recommended. We had a wonderful time. Quiet location by the sea. Lovely garden for relaxing. Very nice owners. Friendly and helpful staff. Ideal for beach, cycling, and hiking holidays. We would definitely stay again. Five stars.

28/05/2026: We travel in France a lot, and try to stay in Chateu whenever possible. We are always happy with the Chateau, but wow the country club was exceptional. The chateau, the rooms, the staff, the estate, and the food - or I should say the cuisine - are all wonderful. We had a breakfast there - yummy - and the dinner was perfection. The Sequoia room looks out onto the immaculate estate and the Chef was right on the mark. Plus you have the racetrack nearby so there is lots to do. And yes, we are headed back in a few months for another fabulous French experience!

09/05/2026: The location was perfect for my stopover from the UK to Spain. The grounds were extensive and ideal for walking the dog. The room was fine for just one person with a dog but would be a little small for two. However all the staff were extremely kind and professional and I am booked in to stay again.

17/04/2026: Honestly, there are much better options nearby for less money. The rave reviews are clearly biased, or those people have never eaten couscous anywhere else. Very disappointed.

15/04/2026: Always a very warm welcome, and have been for decades; for me, it's the best couscous in the entire Metz region, and the staff are fantastic, going out of their way for their customers! 💖🫶
