Flan: pleasant vanilla flavor, but I've had better; the texture is really not good.
Pear/tonka creation, or rather croissant dough with a tiny piece of pear on top. Quite disappointing in terms of pastries; the bread remains to be seen.
18/04/2026: Quick service, well-buttered and flaky croissant, chocolate éclair with a chocolate insert rather than pastry cream, but this is respectable and results in something more chocolatey/indulgent (be careful to eat it cold otherwise it probably wouldn't work).

07/07/2026: I am truly impressed by the warm welcome and attentive service from the IBAÏA team. The festive atmosphere and beautifully decorated setting create a unique ambiance, perfectly balanced between conviviality and elegance. The value for money is also very satisfactory.
05/07/2026: A very pleasant atmosphere on the banks of the Garonne. Impeccable service with great friendliness. The tapas were excellent to accompany the aperitif, followed by delicious main courses such as the beef tartare or the beef tataki with sweet potato fries.
However, the desserts were very disappointing. The cream in the tiramisu and the cheesecake wasn't very light.
Nevertheless, we had a very good evening!

30/05/2026: The waiter was incredibly pushy; I had no choice but to order something to drink despite several refusals. He forced me to order three times or I'd have to leave. He even lost some mustache hairs in my glass. He's overcharging, charging €11 instead of €10, and claims it wasn't true. Plus, he stinks. Boycott this place. And I hope for your sake you don't get served by the guy with the big mustache.

29/06/2026: We had a wonderful time on a shaded terrace, thanks to the waitress's humor! The meal was excellent. We even got directions on how to get back on the bike path!!!

21/06/2026: During our annual stay in the Marais Poitevin, we had the opportunity to visit the bar several times and the restaurant once. The bar is perfect. The owner is super friendly, as is a young waiter on Sundays: the Picon beer brought back memories of my youth. The restaurant offers good value for money. The waitress on duty that day, ideologically driven, with an excessive personality and easily overwhelmed, is nonetheless undoubtedly a good person at heart. To be continued

I will always stop at L’Ambre when I am in Paris.
After a couple of drinks their restaurant around the corner is the next place for a very tasty dinner !!
If you are visiting Paris, you need to get a taste of l’Ambre, you won’t regret it

29/06/2026: A very beautiful castle; I recommend walking there along the Nantes-Brest canal, which will give you a magnificent view.
28/06/2026: An impressive fortress complex with a castle. A visit is highly recommended. The fortress is truly worth seeing. There's also a medieval garden and wonderful hiking trails through the forest. The Nantes-Brest Canal with its cycle path runs right past it.

A bonus for allergy sufferers: all allergens are clearly listed.
The iced kouglof is delicious.
The welcome and service are very friendly.
04/06/2026: Definitely worth a visit... A real treat. I had the Munster ham hock, absolutely delicious... I highly recommend it.

04/07/2026: A weekday lunch with a set menu (starter, main course, dessert) for €30. We expected something perfect! The choices were limited unless you added a supplement of €6 to €8 per course.
There was very little on the plates: the fish of the day: a small fillet of ling, three small pieces of bread, a tiny head of broccoli, and a quarter of a potato! The French toast for dessert: two slices of very stale bread, barely enhanced! In short, very disappointing.
