03/06/2026: First experience at this Hohwald restaurant for a family lunch. We were warmly welcomed by smiling and attentive staff. The overall atmosphere was cozy and pleasant. The dishes were beautifully presented, tasty, and clearly prepared with care. Unfortunately, one detail significantly marred this otherwise positive impression. The small salad accompanying the fried food was particularly meager, and any additional portion was charged at €2.50. For a bill of €180 for four people, charging this extra for a few leaves of salad feels stingy and difficult to understand. It's a shame, because up until that point, everything was going very well. This small, inconsistent gesture ultimately overshadowed the rest of the experience. For this reason, despite the aforementioned positive aspects, I don't plan to return.

25/05/2026: The location is lovely. We went to the restaurant and were very disappointed by the small portions (vegetarian spritzes) and the small size of the Aperol spritz (18cl) for 7/8 euros. Walk 100 meters further up the road and you'll find another inn where 30cl of spritz costs 6.50 euros.

10/09/2026: A perfect meal break! The welcome was fantastic, the atmosphere friendly, the service excellent, and the food simply perfect, all at a great price. We thank the whole team for this welcome family meal after a 3.5-hour drive. Our vacation started with a comforting cuttlefish and gardiane stew, and the waitresses were so kind. THANK YOU!

04/09/2026: Authentic cuisine and fresh ingredients. The service is excellent and the setting is beautiful with its small covered terrace out back. We had a wonderful time at this restaurant.

21/08/2026: Pleasantly surprised! A small, shaded courtyard, very friendly atmosphere, generous portions, delicious food, excellent welcome and service – a place worth discovering.

18/07/2026: We went in for a glass of wine, but were told they were only serving food at that time. Since the place was pleasant, with French music playing, and the staff attentive, we decided to stay. It was a great decision. The food is delicious and homemade. High quality and well prepared. A superb choice in Evreux!

30/07/2026: A very good bakery. The sandwiches are very good and served with love.

07/06/2026: Excellent homemade bakery and pastry shop. We had a chocolate éclair and a meringue, both truly excellent and a welcome change from the mass-produced chains... well done and thank you to these shopkeepers who know how to preserve traditions.

11/09/2026: Good food. Everything comes in sustainable packaging. This is the first McDonald's where I've seen this. Big kudos to whoever brought this to McDonald's.

30/09/2026: After calling twice to make a reservation, we arrived to find no reservation, so we ate outside in the rain. A real treat! Otherwise, nothing extraordinary, a good restaurant, very slow service, but the atmosphere outside in the rain was a nice bonus.

30/09/2026: We were well received by the staff; the room and restrooms were clean, and the order arrived fairly quickly.

29/09/2026: I couldn't connect to the terminal, and the staff showed me complete disregard—it was utter nonsense. That's why I've moved on to something else. In short, it was a complete mess.

01/10/2026: A charming little wine bar with a very nice wine list. Perfect place for a date, with small plates to share and orange wine for those who like it.

25/09/2026: Gros is no more, and it's truly sad. This iconic restaurant, where people used to come for a starter, main course, dessert, and a little Calvados to enjoy with a (or more) good bottle of wine, is now just a shadow of its former self. The restaurant is gone: now, you nibble on small plates to share while sipping a glass of wine chosen from a rather expensive, even prohibitively priced, wine list. In short, Gros has become a simple bar with a terrace. While there's certainly been an effort to improve the quality of the food, it's such a disappointment to see the spirit of this place disappear.

15/09/2026: A truly luxurious and delightful experience! Excellent service. I deeply regret not visiting this restaurant more often. Warm and inviting atmosphere. It also boasts a very wide selection of Moroccan pastries. Located in the heart of the city, surrounded by remarkable historic buildings.

18/07/2026: Hello. It's July 18, 2026, and I'm still furious about the terrible experience we had on the evening of July 17, 2026. When making a reservation through TheFork, it stated a 50% discount on all dishes (excluding set menus) and drinks. I admit I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed, but I understand what I'm reading. Even today, I checked by phone and I didn't see any restrictions on the applicable discount. This is the first time this has happened to us through the website. We had made a reservation through the website specifically for dinner with certain dishes. Finally, we arrived, after a 30 km drive plus a €1.20 toll, only to be told that not all items on the menu shown on the website were eligible for the discount. They only offer discounts on certain items. I told the restaurant owner I was unhappy, but he didn't back down. He even dared to say that TheFork clearly states the discount only applies to certain items. I just checked again, and I still see the entire menu says "excluding set menus and drinks." I checked the reviews on the website, and wouldn't you know it, I'm not the first person who's been ripped off. As you can imagine, we didn't stay, we didn't order anything, and we left hungry, having to drive 35 km back without paying the tolls. Who's paying for our wasted trip plus the tolls there? Me. We ate elsewhere for less and had a much better meal. The items he supposedly offers as part of TheFork menu are completely useless to us; we can find them at restaurants closer to home. There's no point in driving 60 km for a ribeye steak or half a duck breast, or even for a Caesar salad, for example. This is the first time we've had such an experience booking a restaurant through TheFork. I wanted to share this very bad experience with you because, according to the website, we supposedly didn't respect and honor the reservation, so it's impossible to leave a review through TheFork. Who is responsible for our very bad experience? The restaurant or TheFork for providing incorrect or withheld information? I don't know the quality of the food, so I won't judge it since we didn't stay. I'm only commenting on a bad experience in a different context. So, to those of you who book through websites hoping to get a discount, be very careful, and especially ask for written confirmation of your options to avoid an unnecessary trip and disappointment, especially if you have to travel several kilometers...

23/06/2026: I can only give a rating for the restaurant: it was simply incredible! A must-try! The meal was absolutely delicious! One of the best I've ever had. The atmosphere was very pleasant, and the staff were truly lovely. I look forward to returning.

20/09/2026: The food is good (homemade brioche). But the service is very disappointing. We were scolded for taking the brunch menu even though we had asked for it, and then again for saying we had a train to catch and should have "let them know earlier." Only one waiter was pleasant to us; thank you to him, because we were about to leave.

20/09/2026: I had breakfast at this café this morning. I have no complaints about the breakfast itself; it was good and very reasonably priced. However, the welcome was far from warm, and the service was incredibly slow. The staff made some very rude remarks when we asked about the brunch menu and the wait time (after we'd already waited quite a while). All in all, a bad experience that doesn't make me want to return. However, a special thank you to one of the waiters, whose kindness somewhat redeemed the experience.

06/09/2026: The owners are very kind, and so is the waitress. The food was very good (the risotto with vegetables!!!). They have beautiful (and real!) books. The atmosphere was pleasant. Top-notch :)

03/09/2026: We stopped by this afternoon, thinking we knew the good atmosphere of this bar, but we were sorely mistaken. The bartender that day was incredibly unpleasant; no greeting, no "hello," and when we ordered a Coke, he simply pointed at the fridge with disdain. When we asked about the flavors of lemonade, he again, without a word, moved aside to show us the syrups. We tried to sit on the terrace, but the bartender stopped us with a curt "Pay up, guys." Sorry, but that's a level of disrespect towards customers I've never seen before. We won't be back.

08/06/2026: Super! Excellent, clean, delicious, and generous portions, fast service, a nice loft-style atmosphere, very pleasant staff, and more than reasonable prices. If we're ever in the area again, we'll definitely be back 🥰. Thank you to the whole team!

06/10/2026: I ordered two of the daily specials (fiadone base and whipped cream) and a slice of fiadone: I threw it all away because it was so sweet. It was inedible and had absolutely no flavor. I've never eaten such a bad fiadone. On the other hand, the price was particularly steep. I won't be going back. Your customers aren't fools!

13/09/2026: A huge bug came out. The server was kind, but it was so disgusting and upsetting ㅠㅠ It was the first restaurant I visited on my trip to France, and it has ruined my image of the country ㅠㅠ Koreans, run away… ㅠㅠㅠ
