28/09/2026: To be safe of getting a table,best to book. The food is out of this world. Have the daily specials and you will love it. House red was unbelievable, still trying to find ot the name.The staff are so helpful and patient if your French is poor.

13/08/2026: This has never happened to me before, and I do try out a lot of restaurants. We arrived, I had a reservation for two. The welcome was quite slow, but the waitress was overwhelmed, but let's not dwell on that. We sat down, she took care of one table, and a chalkboard with the daily menu for the whole restaurant was put out, which lengthened the wait. She took the chalkboard from the next table and told us there were other tables ahead of us, she'd come after. Okay, fine. I asked her if we could still order drinks or a carafe of water. I was with an elderly person, it was hot, and she would at least like to have some water. She replied, "Yes, well, later when I take your order." At that point, I felt really uncomfortable. The chalkboard finally arrived after 20 minutes, and I saw chicken drumstick or brandade. She arrived to take the order. We'd already been waiting 30 minutes. I asked her if there was another menu or a daily special, because I eat drumsticks and brandade at home and I'd like to try something different. She replied, in an unpleasant tone, "The menu is only available in the evening. As for the daily specials, we don't have everything; we had a party yesterday!" Okay, fine, I understand. What do you have? Well, tell me what you want and I'll tell you if I have it. It would be simpler to just tell me what's available! So I finally chose. She replied, "It'll take longer, but it's fine, we have what you want." I told her, "At this point, we're done." She took the order and left. I went to the restroom, and that's when I was accosted, even harassed, by the cook and the waitress, who looked at me and asked, "Is that her?" The waitress said yes. The "Is that her?" comment while looking at me didn't go down well. She told me that if I wasn't happy, I could eat drumsticks and brandade at home and leave. I explained that I had indeed said that, and that's why I had chosen something else from the suggestions. I also asked if I could repeat what I'd said, looking at the waitress, to make sure it was repeated correctly. Then the cook told me, "Anyway, you're on vacation, you're not working, so you can wait!" Yes, I could wait; it's happened to me often, but with more pleasant staff who don't get offended as soon as someone asks a question. Even at the table next to us, where other customers were asking questions, I found her tone so unpleasant. And she offered a carafe of water, because we mustn't forget that there was an elderly person at the table, over 80 years old, and it was very hot. So, I got really angry, grabbed my things, my mother, and we left. And the worst part is, with such a lack of respect, he laughed and said, "Have a good afternoon!" Avoid at all costs! And a special shout-out to the gentleman in his fifties wearing a red t-shirt who, I must say, possesses remarkable maturity. He stirred things up by going over to the waitress and telling her about a private conversation he had with my mother regarding the disorganization of the service, without which I think none of this would have happened!

16/07/2026: The staff are all lovely. The food is varied and delicious. We ordered burgers with fries, and the meal was perfect. The atmosphere is warm and inviting. I highly recommend this place for enjoying great food at very reasonable prices! 😁

Chatting with them is a pleasure, and honestly, I've never seen such a friendly and close-knit team working together to make it happen as these two wonderful people that my friends and I met tonight. I highly recommend it to everyone because it's a must-try! 12/09/2026: I was on the verge of being attacked by the homeless man in the entrance of the shop.

09/09/2026: I asked if it was possible to have an Oat milk coffee. I was told it was, so I ordered one… it looked to me as if it was made with dairy, so I asked confirmation about the milk… I got confirmation it was oat milk. I took two sips to find it wasn’t… so for someone with a simple lactose intolerance that’s alright, I’ll deal with my sore stomach and the annoyance. But I can only imagine what people with milk allergy might have had to deal with if stopping by this place.

10/07/2026: Stopped for 1 night stay and had dinner at etche ona as well. The room was perfect , clean and we had air conditioning in ours which was great due to the heatwave! We had dinner there and the food was amazing, vey generous portions and pizza amazing. The staff were attentive and very friendly. Atmosphere was lovely and fun!!highly recommend! 2 min walk from the Bea h and 2 min by car to dune du Pila so perfect location.

15/09/2026: It's always a pleasure to return to this restaurant! First, the impeccable and warm welcome, the attentive service, right down to the ready-made water bowl for the dog upon arrival, and the perfect pace—neither too fast nor too slow despite the number of customers—a testament to the establishment's quality. Above all, a feast for the eyes, nose, and palate from beginning to end. Special mention goes to the foie gras, where all the flavors mingled harmoniously: the richness of the foie gras, the sweetness of the brioche so delicious it was almost too small, the perfect balance of sweet and acidic chutney, the spiciness of the radish, the bitterness of the sprouts and chicory, and finally, the discovery of the caper, its acidity counterbalancing the richness of the foie gras. A marvel! The chicken transported us to another world, with its ideal and spicy seasoning. The trout was equally succulent. The dessert, with all the sweet flavors of the North, was a truly memorable experience! Discoveries and comforting tastes abounded! A huge congratulations to Olivier, the chef, and the entire team! Even the recommended mocktail was excellent. One of the best restaurants in the region! See you soon!

11/08/2026: It's good, very generous portions, very inexpensive, and served quickly! Perhaps not the best in Paris, as some reviews claim, nor the ideal spot for a romantic dinner or a marriage proposal, but it's a great place for lunch in the neighborhood if you want something simple, tasty, and quick at a very reasonable price.

08/08/2026: The best shrimp bo-bun in Paris! Fresh and delicious, the cook is really talented and friendly! Bravo!

I'm sorry to give them this rating because I've never been disappointed at Castel, but this time, I feel compelled to send them a message so they understand that cooking is an art, not a cafeteria or a canteen. "Avoid serving customers inedible, almost spoiled mussels"—we're not used to this kind of service from you. Pull yourselves together and do what you do well, and leave what you don't master to others.

19/09/2026: Everything was delicious; the truffle ravioli were divine, as was the chestnut fondant. The staff were very friendly, and the terrace was charming. I highly recommend it.
