08/06/2026: A little gem with wonderful hospitality! The Logis Hôtel le Clos Charmant was a very pleasant surprise. The welcome was warm and attentive – exactly what you want after a long day of travel. The room was compact, but tastefully furnished and spotlessly clean. Breakfast offered a typical French selection with fresh delicacies – a perfect start to the day. The absolute highlight was the three-course dinner: When we mentioned that we aren't big fans of shellfish, the menu was promptly adapted for us – a gesture that truly impressed us. There was a delicate fish pâté as a starter, a tender chicken dish as a main course, and a creamy panna cotta for dessert. Accompanied by an excellent bottle of rosé – simply perfect. Communication in English was no problem, and we even picked up a few French words. 😊 A charming hotel that will stay with us – we'll definitely be back!

20/06/2026: We loved our overnight stay at Abbaye de Maizières. Our room was up a fair few steps on a spiral staircase, and the reception/lobby bar sits in a wonderful, cool cellar-type space. We didn't eat here, simply because there are so many options in town, but the place itself is lovely and special — you really do feel the sense of history. Parking can be a bit tricky, though we found a spot on the street nearby with no trouble. The gentleman who looked after us is a real gem — into his cars, and he made our stay memorable. Thoroughly recommended. Just make sure you're happy with a bit of a climb if you end up with a room at the top, like us! 🤣

04/05/2026: Staying at Abbaye de Maizières for 4 nights was a unique and memorable accommodation. The character and charm makes this hotel stand out, and the location is close to everything. We enjoyed the stunning architecture and atmosphere of the historical abbey while enjoying the modern comforts offered by the hotel. The location is excellent, tucked right into the heart of Beaune, making it easy to explore the town on foot. Our room was spacious, comfortable and thoughtfully designed, blending historic charm with the amenities you need for a relaxing stay. The service was warm and welcoming throughout our stay. The team was helpful and accommodating, making everything feel easy from arrival to departure. If you’re looking for a place that adds a unique and memorable dimension to your time in Beaune this hotel is a solid choice.

03/06/2026: A decor frozen in the past... A dismaying welcome: the owner grumbles at the customers, the manager of the chip shop doesn't even say hello. A shame for a village brasserie that could be a place of conviviality.

03/05/2026: A small neighborhood brasserie with very friendly, always welcoming and smiling staff. They serve classic brasserie dishes that are always well-prepared and in generous portions, offering excellent value for money.

06/03/2026: The meal was, as usual, very good and plentiful, although the cook was a little heavy-handed with the salt.

10/04/2026: Excellent seafood platter, tasting of oysters from various oyster beds, and a surprisingly good Charentes white wine. I had a wonderful time.

18/03/2026: A wonderful discovery! Freshness and quality are guaranteed, the atmosphere is friendly, and the dishes are prepared with love and expertise, making L'Huîtrier the best seafood restaurant in Lyon.

15/05/2026: A lifelong McDonald's fan, I've switched to So K! It's super good, homemade fries, excellent cheeseburger, even the kids love it! The Camembert bites won over my son 😊

12/02/2026: The Royal Pompadour is a very charming and conveniently located place, situated on a major national highway. The staff is welcoming and friendly, with a family atmosphere. The food is good and the ambiance is pleasant.

26/06/2026: Generous and delicious pizza, I thoroughly enjoyed it and will gladly return! Quick service and very friendly staff. Hats off to the pizza chef and staff for keeping us happy in this heat.

18/06/2026: The staff member, who seemed to be the manager, was surprisingly rude and acted in a way that felt unnecessarily childish. We were seated at a neighbouring bar in what is clearly a shared communal space, and their TV happened to be directly in our line of sight. Instead of simply letting us watch, he deliberately tried to block the screen, making it difficult for us to see. In an open area like this, the behaviour was both petty and unreasonable. We will not be returning.

17/06/2026: Awful service and an egotistic sexist waiter. Words can not describe the rudest of our waiter. I will not return and you should not either. Worst experience ever. Do not bother waiting your euros or your dollar.

18/03/2026: Perfect! I highly recommend this establishment; it's very welcoming. The staff are attentive and very friendly. Excellent value for money. Just a heads-up, be sure to book in advance to be sure of getting a table 😉
