27/09/2026: Having had lunch there with friends, I can say the food is very good, with a good selection of menus and excellent desserts. The welcome was perfect; all the staff were very friendly and made us feel like family. A nice bonus to aid digestion was the offer to play pétanque, with boules provided free of charge. The setting is beautiful, with horses and donkeys to see and do.

18/09/2026: I'm one of those who encountered the waitress or manager during one of her bad periods, apparently (and I say this with all my sisterhood and feminism in mind). She was totally hysterical, rude, and irrationally aggressive. I could have filed a police report for refusal of service; she would have failed to grasp the consequences of her rude aggression. We were kicked out and went next door: delightful, adorable, polite, and humane.
26/08/2026: Beautiful facade... it's a shame we couldn't see the inside as the restaurant was closed (the opening hours clearly state it's open). A pity for this restaurant, located in a very touristy area... there were six of us. Instead, we went to the bar on the square with its splendid terrace... no regrets.

17/05/2026: Excellent value for money. Very good breakfast, the cheese platter is a nice touch. A slight scare upon arrival due to no one being there to greet us, but everything was quickly sorted out.
12/05/2026: We had booked 6 months in advance with a box, the hotel was full but the owner had thought of everything and relocated us to a gîte, a real haven of peace, very beautiful setting, nothing to see, pleasant owner and the staff of the hotel du faisan very welcoming.

13/10/2026: Normally I never write a review, but I couldn't resist with this one. We went for a quick bite to eat after Disneyland for €45.00 per person. I woke up feeling sick the next day. The food was disgusting and the service was poor. We weren't even allowed to use a power outlet to charge our phones, which meant we couldn't arrange a taxi home. They were only nice when we were being helped with the bill. We won't be coming back here.

The food is good and varied. There's a good selection of dishes you don't usually find at buffets.

28/09/2026: Excellent value for money at this restaurant with its delicious food. Everything is homemade, prepared by a master chef. The terrace service is very efficient and always with a smile from Anatole. I might even go back tomorrow, Tuesday!
26/08/2026: Yeah, 20 minutes for a carafe of water, nobody takes the order during that time, a waitress who doesn't acknowledge anyone and doesn't even say hello, the dishes are good but not excessive and a cold hamburger on top of that with a presentation unworthy of a 4 star, a flop for sure and also you can hear the conversations between servers and that's not great.

A lovely place to stop for a break while strolling through the streets of La Tranche-sur-Mer in the summer!
03/09/2026: Good and generous portions, all served with a smile. We came twice in a row, the waffle was delicious (they even offer you the almost second waffle made with the leftover batter instead of throwing it away) and the milkshake was very good and very generous! Delighted, we'll be back every day during our vacation! Edit: late August/early September, the waffles were still just as good, but the waitress was unpleasant two days in a row and the music was too loud for the customers.

12/10/2026: What positive thing can be said about this restaurant besides the setting? NOTHING. Disastrous welcome and service. Tasteless food, straight from the freezer, at exorbitant prices. Insufficient lighting on the terrace and in the parking lot.
10/10/2026: The pleasant setting promised a lovely time… wrong… the sticky, torn menu was the start of a series of disappointments… the non-alcoholic aperitifs were bland, the lukewarm, unpresented dishes were completely uninteresting, we were the only ones there and we understood why!!! To top it all off, the toilet hadn't been flushed!!! A kitchen nightmare!!

I tried the apple pie because I saw it in the Korean reviews, but the croissant is tastier.
25/08/2026: The location of this bakery was perfect for our needs. The pastries are good but not exceptional. I would still recommend a visit if you're in the area!
The chocolate chip cookie was delicious!
