30/09/2026: Chez Ly, Paris 13th Arrondissement | The main dishes were amazing, but the dim sum was even more convincing. Last week, I tried several main dishes at Chez Ly and I'm still full of praise for them. Later, I chatted with friends, and they told me that the restaurant's reputation extends far beyond its main dishes—the Cantonese dim sum, such as shrimp dumplings and siu mai, are all handmade by the owner, one by one. Intrigued, my spouse and I went back to Chez Ly today specifically to try the dim sum. We ordered chicken siu mai, steamed shrimp rice rolls, steamed spare ribs with black bean sauce, Guangzhou-style shrimp dumplings, crab roe steamed siu mai, a plate of stir-fried beef noodles, and a pot of chrysanthemum tea. The taste was so authentic, it felt like being in an old Guangzhou restaurant, a delightful surprise. Finally, we had fried glutinous rice balls for dessert, perfectly concluding the meal. After eating the whole set, I couldn't help but give it a thumbs up. Next time, I definitely want to bring my family to share this experience.

27/09/2026: Well, I ate one of the worst burgers of my life. I think it was the cheapest steak you can find at Metro, covered in the worst plastic-looking cheese imaginable. And when I got up to pay, the waiter accosted me in a really rude way, saying, "Oh, pay, pay, don't leave," like I was a thief. Honestly, they shouldn't worry; even if their food gets stolen, these guys will bring it back without batting an eye.

07/10/2026: We came here for lunch after visiting the Palace of Versailles and its gardens. The place has a really cool diner design with a retro Hollywood/movie theme that carries through to the menu, creating a very fun and unique vibe. The menu has amazing potential, with a huge and interesting variety of dishes. Unfortunately, the execution was slightly lacking on the dishes we ordered. I had the Indiana Jones chicken burger. It was okay, but the chicken was dry and overall the dish could have done with a bit more love and perhaps some vegetables or something fresh to balance it out. My daughter had the pork ribs, which can be a challenging dish to execute well. Unfortunately, these weren’t great. They were way too chewy and nowhere near as soft and tender as they should have been. You can see it in the photo. The dishes my other daughter and wife had were modified by removing some of the original ingredients, so I won’t include those in the rating. Overall, a really cool concept and a great atmosphere, but the food we had unfortunately didn’t quite live up to the potential of the menu.

22/09/2026: Everything was delicious: the Phuket cocktail, the imperial rolls, the stir-fried pork with basil, the exotic sorbet sundae. I thoroughly enjoyed myself. Well located on the banks of the Seine and near the Collegiate Church.

I think they know what's wrong and they don't care 😅 But I feel sorry for all those young people working there who have this kind of first job experience... I understand that they don't want to give their all filling a McDonald's bag when you know the salary they earn.

16/09/2026: I arrived on September 16th at 7:30 PM for my break and the establishment was closed. There was no sign on the door, and the parking lot was blocked off with barriers. Is this a temporary or permanent closure? 🤔

08/09/2026: This is a very friendly roadside restaurant with excellent food and service. The parking lot is quite large, and the opening hours are very convenient for truckers. The showers and restrooms are clean. I recommend this roadside restaurant.

10/09/2026: A charmingly kitschy Chinese atmosphere. Efficient, attentive, meticulous, and friendly service. Cloth tablecloths (except on weekends). Authentic, fresh cuisine; well-seasoned and generous portions. Excellent plain rice. Many regulars frequent this restaurant, which has been established for almost 40 years. Excellent value for money.

09/09/2026: This restaurant was very good; I ate sweet and sour pork with Cantonese rice and Chinese beer.

18/10/2026: For an event of about thirty people, we were treated like royalty. A fantastic welcome, fast service, delicious food, and amazing music. 14/07/2026: Hello, we came around noon on July 14th and ordered two Caesar wraps and two pastries. The wraps were a bit small for the price, but very tasty. The pastries weren't anything special, probably not fresh (defrosted the day before, most likely). The most annoying thing was the almost empty dining area. The staff seemed completely unresponsive (four of them were chatting in a circle behind the counter), yet not a single clean table! We spent about 35 minutes there and nothing happened. When we left, we clearly said "goodbye," but they were so engrossed in their fascinating conversation that they didn't respond. Perhaps they were having a day without a manager, but a little reprimand would be appreciated. Have a good day.
