19/06/2026: Five stars for this hidden gem! It’s a lovely, cozy, privately-run spot where the chef also serves you, creating a wonderful and personal atmosphere. You can truly taste the sea in every bite. ​Fish Soup (9/10): Absolutely amazing. Intense, incredibly flavorful, and clearly made from the freshest stock. A must-try! ​Grilled Sea Bream (9/10): Perfectly fresh, meaty, well grilled, and paired beautifully with a classic jacket potato. ​Seafood Platter (8/10): Fresh, delicious, and well-prepared. Generous portion. ​Small Fried Fish (8/10): A generous portion that totally hit the spot. ​Highly recommended if you want authentic, fresh seafood! Price not bad considering the food quality.

16/05/2026: In fact a place you should not miss, if searching for a great seafood restaurant. We had delicious oysters with a glass of superbe champagne, followed by sardines and tartar salmon. Try out the desserts. Meeting a local couple our age and having a kind conversation made a great evening. We will come back!

18/06/2026: The owner was welcoming and gave honest recommendations. The beef was tender, the scallop salad refreshingly delicious – absolute highlights! Cozy atmosphere, around €25 per person. We'll be back!

16/07/2026: Passing through the area, we stopped at this restaurant. The food was simple but very good, and the portions were generous. Excellent value for money; the set menu (starter, main course, and dessert) was €15.90. A warm welcome. I recommend it.

01/05/2026: Nice roadside diner, a marquee in the back, plenty of seating. Decent meal, (good) set menu: (starter, main course, dessert) less than 18 euros. With a quarter-liter of wine. Small starter buffet... (only one serving per person) The waitstaff lacked focus at times (perhaps a little hard of hearing) but remained very friendly nonetheless. (Please don't overlook this!) At the end of the meal... I recommend the (house) dessert, a pure delight which, for me, is by far the best of all those I have had the opportunity to taste to date. Good value for money. 24/05/2026: We stopped for a drink this Sunday, bright sunshine, we wanted to go to the terrace, bam, 60 cents more to be outside, she offered to refund me and stay outside, no, the sun is shining and we want to be able to smoke, the lady's response was "you can't have everything", bravo for the price of three drinks, no wonder people don't go out anymore.

09/06/2026: I just bought a Nutella cookie, and the €5 price tag already seems excessive. Then, outside the shop, I open it. I had previously asked the saleswoman if the cookies were homemade, and she had said yes. However, when I pick up the cookie, it feels like it's frozen. It's extremely hard, and I can't even break it by hand. Someone needs to revisit the definition of "homemade."

05/04/2026: Small but cozy place, friendly staff and very good food. Furthermore, which is very rare, they serve coffee with a free glass of water. Finally, the place is not called margot as on Maps but (o ble des lys).

23/05/2026: Treated like dirt (for long-time regulars) and kicked out for arriving 10 minutes before the official opening for a simple drink for two. The staff has changed a lot… before, you could come at 6:30 pm and get a drink without any problem… I won't be setting foot in there again

13/05/2026: An excellent restaurant: the cuisine is refined and delicious, the setting overlooking the park is very pleasant, and above all, the service is impeccable. We came for an event, and the entire team took great care to understand our wishes and fulfill them perfectly. Thank you so much for this attentive service; we had a wonderful time and we will be back!

20/06/2026: Their Chateaubriand steak is incredible; I've tried several other Hippopotamus restaurants and they weren't as good as this one! With the Hippo sauce... a real treat!

14/06/2026: Honestly, everything is perfect except the food; the pizzas and burgers are atrocious and bad. Perhaps they should change the cooks.

04/07/2026: Passing through Bagnoles de l'Orne, I honestly went there four times because it was so good! Living near the Belgian border, I can assure you that the fries are excellent and the kebabs delicious. The staff is friendly, both the waitress and the cook. I wish you all the best for the future and hope to see you again next year, as I am completely satisfied with your food. Well done, thank you, and good luck for the rest of the season. Sincerely.

27/06/2026: Second time, the first time we ordered takeout, which was very good, and this time we decided to eat in. We received a very warm welcome and enjoyed our meal. The only slight drawback is the lack of amenities for children (no children's menus and no booster seats).

22/01/2026: The team is always smiling and offers an incredible welcome. The prices for takeaway pizzas are unbeatable, and on top of that, they're excellent. The burgers are just as delicious; personally, the Auvergnat is my favorite.

20/01/2026: Very good experience. Good protein content in their pizzas. Every Friday I get a free pizza: buy one pizza, get one free, and a slice goes to the dog.

30/05/2026: An excellent restaurant, the kind you rarely find. Everything was perfect, even though I'm used to dining at fine restaurants. This one truly impressed me. I wasn't expecting such delicious dishes, and the service was simply impeccable. What a team! You can feel their genuine passion for their craft. A huge thank you to Quentin, Loïc, Thomas, and Olivier: you are all fantastic.

15/05/2026: I was very disappointed by my visit to this establishment. We were expecting a pleasant experience, but it was a complete disaster. The food was unbalanced: Of the three dishes we ordered, two were excessively salty. The service was nonexistent and unpleasant: The two waiters were remarkably nonchalant. We felt like we were bothering them every time we asked. Special mention goes to one of them who seemed openly fed up with having to serve us. A little politeness and a smile cost nothing. To top it all off, construction work right outside the door punctuated our meal with deafening noise. No one bothered to apologize for the inconvenience or even warn us at the beginning of the meal. In short, avoid this place. For 60 euros per person, there are much better Italian restaurants in the area that respect their customers and their recipes.

18/05/2026: Don't go there for the food; it's far too expensive for what it is. It's not that it's bad, but it's absolutely not worth the price. Otherwise, the service and atmosphere are excellent.
