06/07/2026: I have never eaten so badly as at Café de France. What was served was scandalous. A shrimp salad was served in a small bowl with tiny, rock-hard shrimp—inedible. It used to be a very good restaurant, but apparently, there is a new owner. Never go here!

05/07/2026: We found this beautifully situated restaurant. The menu is concise, but that's not important. What bothered us—there were ten of us—was that all the food arrived cold. The fries tasted very fishy. We would come back to sit comfortably and have a drink. But we wouldn't eat here again.

09/07/2026: Letting Google Maps guide me to a nice little restaurant. Glad I ended up here. The pizza carne was surprisingly tasty. I'm normally not a fan of "French minced meat," but here it tasted really good. Friendly service too. The wine paired well with it as well.

18/03/2026: Objectively, very, very average. We ordered the €18 set menu plus drinks, which came to €26.50. Not a problem in itself. We received child-sized portions! Ridiculously small dishes with only four pieces of chicken. We felt like we were being punished. The same went for the starter. As for dessert, there was great confusion surrounding the "Indian ice cream," which advertised a wide variety of flavors, but was actually just all of them mixed together! A ridiculously small amount, clearly from some tub of unknown origin. Frankly, it wasn't good. Other customers nearby had also understood that there were other flavors to choose from, but no! To top it all off, the menu was a laminated sheet with damaged corners. No problem, they cut the corners to make it look "clean"! Seeing that, I should have been suspicious! Honestly, an overall bad experience. Seeing that I was annoyed, the owner served me an unsolicited coffee and an Indian liquor. A nice gesture if the experience had been good, but this was an attempt to make amends! Summary: Restaurant far from the expected standards.

22/07/2026: A host this welcoming is a rare find! He was wonderful with our three teenagers, and we were able to enjoy watching football on TV! The full meal for €17.50 is unbeatable in terms of value for money. It included a buffet of starters, various main courses depending on the owner's cooking style, cheese, desserts, and unlimited wine. We had two fantastic evenings at this restaurant, and we'll gladly return if we're ever in the area again.

18/07/2026: Very disappointing Routier. The buffet salad to start was very unappetising. We weren't offered a choice of main, just had a plate of meat balls and chips put in front of us, then told that was it, cheese if we wanted it for a desert. No offer of wine or any drinks with the meal. I don't mind paying for decent food, but twenty euros for that rubbish and a bottle of beer, I felt ripped off. It's a shame as there is reasonable parking and a public loo outside, which is handy. Facilities (toilets and shower) very dated, probably best not use.

21/07/2026: What can we say about an establishment we've known for 26 years?! One of the oldest in Toulon. The brothers have taken turns running the place, but the food is truly excellent. For lovers of vegetarian Asian cuisine, there's plenty to enjoy as well. And regulars can even ask the owner for special dishes not on the menu. Whether it's for a family meal, a quick lunch, or anything else, there's something to delight everyone with all kinds of dishes... Go there, go back, and do it again and again... For us, in the Toulon area, there's nothing better.

16/07/2026: Food: 1/10. Service: 6/10. The chef should seriously consider a career change, because cooking doesn’t seem to be it anymore. We were a group of eight, and not a single person enjoyed their meal. The meat was cold and smelly. Fries were cold the only thing hot was the plate. The only thing worth praising was the baguette which says everything. Important Note - Don’t be fooled by the fancy plate decoration it’s the only thing they got right. Go there for a drink if you want. Just don’t go there hungry.

30/06/2026: It's awful, there's practically nothing there, and when it's empty they don't refill it, and the owner is watching you, you feel like you're in prison. It's awful, run away!

17/05/2026: Very nice McDonald's, a real change from the usual McDonald's! It was beautiful and delicious! Plus, it was hot! Drinks with ice (like on my order) aren't always the case! And the McDonald's Deal meal (since the beginning of May 2026) is pretty good! Because McDonald's was outclassed by Burger King (good and inexpensive meal!). Much better than the old McSmart meal. Well done to the Toulon team!!! See you soon!

05/05/2026: Honestly, I'm totally disappointed. I ordered a Caramel Popcorn McFurni ice cream from your McDonald's website, three cones and even more. Seriously, there were only four scoops of cream! I finished it in less than four seconds, and on top of that, I didn't get the Mario-themed tub (I'm paying you to get it!), and I got the regular McClory one. Honestly, it's not right to lose six euros and some change for that. Seriously, no, no, no, no, I won't be ordering again. I'm disgusted.

13/01/2026: I spent one night in this hotel in January 2026. The reception was cold, as was the room! We had to ask for a space heater to raise the temperature! The heat loss through the ancient single-glazed window made the situation worse! The bathroom is outdated with few amenities! The entire hotel has been stuck in the past for generations; of course, some may like that, but neglecting guest comfort is unacceptable at this price! To make matters worse, there's a lack of trust! In fact, I left a sweater in the room and it wasn't returned!!! In conclusion, a hotel to absolutely avoid!

03/01/2026: We were passing through and had lunch at the restaurant, and it was a truly wonderful discovery. Elegance and refinement are the words that come to mind; the dishes were simply an explosion of flavors, beautifully presented. The waiter was lovely and explained the menu very well. I highly recommend it for anyone who truly wants to enjoy quality food. I had the tasting menu for €49.

01/05/2026: Superb location on the banks of the Saône with a terrace. Very warm welcome, comfortable room with a lovely bathroom. Quiet and relaxing place. Highly recommended.
