27/05/2026: My review concerns the restaurant and, in particular, the brunch. It was a very pleasant time spent by the Seine with a delicious brunch, fresh ingredients, and a friendly welcome. I'll definitely be back.

24/05/2026: We came for brunch. The welcome, friendliness, and cleanliness were excellent. The buffet was very varied and high-quality: unbeatable value for money 🙏 Thank you to the whole team: we'll be back!

11/07/2026: It's a shame I can't give 0 stars: the staff are extremely unpleasant and unfriendly, they had trouble refunding me because my train was arriving, and they can't even make a single sandwich in 25 minutes. Avoid this place at all costs!

10/07/2026: Avoid at all costs. This restaurant is lucky to be part of the American chain. Without that, it would never survive. The food is rushed, the service is slower than a snail, and the employees only respond to our questions sporadically. 25 minutes for a drink and two ice creams. When we went to ask for a refund, they told us our order had been thrown away because we hadn't picked it up, even though we hadn't moved from the counter! This McDonald's is undoubtedly one of the worst in France!

12/07/2026: Initially, when the manager seated us, the sun was at my back. Unable to bear it any longer, I got up to find a way to alleviate the problem. After fifteen minutes, the waiter very kindly lowered the curtain. We had to ask for bread, a carafe of water, and soup spoons, which were very kindly brought to us by a waitress. My curry Madras mussels were too salty, and the sauce reminded me of curry-flavored water—in short, not great. I mentioned this to a waitress who spoke to the manager, who didn't come to see us and ignored my complaint. Therefore, we didn't order dessert or coffee. When we got to the till to pay, there were five of us. My friend and I wanted to pay with her loyalty card, and the other three with theirs. The manager told us that wasn't possible and that we had to pay the entire bill in one go. However, three weeks ago, we were able to do this in Mont-de-Marsan with a very pleasant manager. We've had several disappointing experiences at this restaurant, and we decided to try again tonight, but the experience was not successful.

16/04/2026: It appears this hotel is now closed. I was notified on 13th March 2026 that the owner had died suddenly, which is very sad to hear. The website is still up, but you can't book any dates. I had a booking in April and the hotel had taken 50% deposit of the fees from me. They have said they will refund me, but it has never arrived, so on 3rd April 2026, after contacting them again, they said it would arrive "soon," but I think 'soon' appears to be a flexible concept. Time to contact my credit card company.

25/04/2026: Very disappointed!! It's nothing like I remember from a few years ago, when the food was excellent. Today, apart from the pizza (which we shared between two) which was good, here are our dishes: - The salmon dish (overcooked) with its overcooked rice, - As for the dish I ordered: "butcher's cut" (I'm still laughing about it), they brought me a spare rib and asked if it was a problem because they were out of spare ribs... served with overcooked fries. At the register, I asked to pay for the spare ribs and not the butcher's cut, and they told me: "But today the butcher's cut was spare ribs" (I had to explain to this young woman that a butcher's cut is beef, not pork!!!). Really disappointed!!

14/03/2026: Basic but not very expensive, however, you eat better at Chez Chartier. Very noisy. But the restaurant has been closed for several months and is now permanently closed because there's nothing left on the premises. No information has been released.

01/05/2026: We first went to Duguesclin about fifteen years ago; it was a good restaurant, good value for money. About six or seven years ago, we were very disappointed. The quality had dropped significantly: the salmon pasta was far too salty and inedible, and the pasta had a watery tomato sauce that was incredibly bland. That convinced us never to go back. Recently, we decided to give the restaurant another chance, perhaps out of a touch of nostalgia... We received a poor welcome; a smile seemed to be optional, just a curt "I'll be right back." We had time to watch this person walk past us three times without even acknowledging us. We ended up leaving to eat elsewhere. It's such a shame what this restaurant has become.

11/07/2026: The waitress was very pleasant and helpful. We found an ant and another small brown creature, still alive, in the same dessert. We reported it, but the owner did nothing about it. Be aware that the custard is heavily alcoholic, and this is not indicated on the bill. The owner is extremely unpleasant, even calling us homeless. We asked for even the smallest gesture of goodwill (he charged us for an extra dessert on the bill).

11/07/2026: Good atmosphere, very good starters and main courses, but a few problems with the desserts… The crème anglaise contained alcohol without being told, so it was sent back to the kitchen to get just the cake without the cream. Live insects were discovered in another dessert, which also went back to the kitchen, but no further action was taken. When we went to pay, we realized we had just been charged for an extra dessert without being informed. We asked for an explanation and a refund for the extra dessert (which we paid for nothing), and the owner threw us out, insulting us and telling us not to come back (the height of absurdity, as we weren't planning on returning). I wonder if the owner would be so quick to speak to someone of his own stature :) Hats off to the waitresses, they're fantastic!

01/06/2026: Stayed for two nights. Refrigerator available. Even a kitchen set. Breakfast was adequate.

28/05/2026: Your hotel is extremely dirty. The staff are incredibly disrespectful and rude. We are never allowed to take our food home, and they search our bags, which they absolutely have no right to do. There were only ten minutes left before breakfast, and they refused us entry, instead leading the other members of our group into the dining room. I am very dissatisfied.

21/04/2026: Second visit in 5 months. The pinsas are delicious! 🤩 You have to like thick pastry, but they're crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, and very generously filled. For dessert, we had the pavlova. Visually stunning, but we were a little disappointed by the slightly dry meringue. The sunny back terrace is lovely. The music was a bit loud for my taste at lunchtime. Very friendly service. We'll definitely be back!

06/07/2026: I didn't want to leave a review, but last night made up my mind. We've eaten at the restaurant twice (in the space of two years), without ever being truly impressed by the food. Last night (for the third time, then) confirmed our initial impression. We ordered two pizzas to eat at home. They were, once again, far too salty! (We drank all evening and night.) Furthermore, mine was very poorly prepared. The person who made it clearly didn't put in any effort; all the ingredients were piled in the same place, the ham pieces were stuck together, etc. Enough is enough. We won't be going back.

09/06/2026: "A quality establishment," as evidenced by numerous awards over the years, and it's clear that it's entirely deserved, with a very reasonable price for the three-course meal (starter, main, and dessert) at around €20. The quality of the ingredients, the flavors, and the friendly service are all part of the package. It's a real gem, an establishment that exudes the rigor and experience of true professionals, not to mention good humor and a welcoming atmosphere. Bravo!

07/06/2026: During a business trip, I noticed the brightly lit signs for this restaurant. From the main highway, my attention was caught, and I stopped to try the meat, drawn by the neon sign depicting a cow. I'm probably too used to it, but I've never seen such a wide selection of different cuts of beef, with different aging periods. I try a 500g steak with the family's signature sauce. Again, probably accustomed to a different way of cooking, I don't fully appreciate the flavor of the meat, probably because it's marinated in too much garlic, which overwhelms the flavor, and the meat is still difficult to cut and chew. The flavor is too strong for me, even though the meat is high-quality, but I have trouble chewing it. I also took the opportunity to try the fondue, with soft pieces of bread to dip in, a dish I enjoyed very much. A good glass of typical white wine to accompany everything. And to finish, a good espresso from a well-known Italian company, well-extracted and of high quality considering it's a single-origin blend. I'm not entirely satisfied with the value for money, but it's still considered a good restaurant.
