23/03/2026: This morning's baggage check was appalling. The agents were mixing up bags of liquids on the conveyor belt, and what's more, they were rude! Some training would be very welcome! What a terrible image of France!

26/10/2026: Café de la Paix is ​​a pleasant establishment, boasting a charming setting and a relaxing atmosphere. It's the kind of place you'd love to stop for a break during a stroll in La Rochelle. We settled in there for a coffee and to enjoy some time together as a family. Beyond the coffee itself, it was the pleasure of being together, chatting quietly, and taking the time to savor the moment that made this experience so enjoyable. The setting is perfect for a short break during the day, whether after a walk through the streets of La Rochelle or simply to unwind for a few moments. A lovely spot to enjoy a friendly moment with family and appreciate the ambiance of this beautiful city!

24/10/2026: A wonderful café where you can have a drink or a meal. Head to the back for a quieter spot. Christian's service is fantastic, always friendly and funny! My only complaints are the price increase and the state of the restrooms (something's been out of order for over 10 years...). Apart from that, it's a lovely place where you're always guaranteed a good time!

04/10/2026: We received a very unpleasant welcome and waited 30 minutes on the terrace (it was a Sunday and the waiter was alone). However, when the waiter finally approached us, he didn't even say hello or utter a single word. The same thing happened when we brought our drinks. The waiter's welcome really needs improvement.

18/10/2026: Arrived at McDonald's today at 3:45 PM. All the tables were dirty, even though there weren't many customers. I think the least they could do is clean the tables. When we asked for a table to be cleaned, a woman came to do it, just wiped it down, and ended up leaving all the leftover food that clearly fell on us. Their professionalism needs improvement. If you don't want to work, stay home; this isn't Club Med. I deliberately left my tray on the table so they would understand that the tables need cleaning. Honestly, this place should be banned.

15/08/2026: Thank you to Claire for her masterclass service (that auntie is so brave!), and especially the compliments to the Chef(fe) with a capital C, and I mean it.

11/08/2026: A 1.5-hour wait for two slices of sausage and chorizo ​​accompanied by a supposedly "roasted" Camembert. The staff didn't seem to care about the wait unless you called them over. My recommendation is to arrive at 7 pm if you want to eat by 8:30 pm; otherwise, you'll be disappointed.

18/05/2026: The hotel provided a very warm welcome, and the room was very clean and comfortable. Special mention goes to the housekeeper who kept the room well-maintained and even provided an extra towel. However, the breakfast was disappointing for the price and lacked vegan and halal options. I was also a little disappointed to find a cracked and stained bathtub/shower, rather than a walk-in shower as shown in the photos for the superior double room.

But the real highlight is the warm and welcoming atmosphere—you're treated like family. Excellent value for money. We'll definitely be back!

26/05/2026: Don't be put off by the exterior; the real charm is inside: very friendly staff, clean and functional room and bathroom, excellent and original cuisine, a generous and varied breakfast, and impeccable spa treatments. We loved our three days at this hotel. We'll gladly return.

21/05/2026: We had a truly heavenly stay at La Villa Borghese. The decor might be a little dated, but that's precisely what gives the establishment its charm and authenticity. The restaurant, La Table de Pauline, is simply excellent, worthy of a fine dining establishment: refined, sophisticated cuisine bursting with flavor. The staff is incredibly kind, attentive, and highly professional, which makes the stay even more enjoyable. Special mention goes to the new, very spacious wellness area, where expert professionals provide divine massages. A truly relaxing and rejuvenating experience. An address we wholeheartedly recommend for a stay focused on well-being and serenity.
