28/07/2026: The charcuterie board was far too expensive for the quality. The photos showed it as including charcuterie and cheese, but it was just four slices of sausage and chorizo ​​that barely covered each other. The mojito was undrinkable, and then the main courses we ordered were a complete disappointment: two mussels with Roquefort cheese had very little sauce, two rib-eye steaks were overcooked and very fatty, and the pepper sauce was nothing special. The two burger steaks were completely burnt on the bottom. In short, out of eight dishes, only two met our expectations. The total cost was €230. We cut our meal short and didn't order dessert. Avoid at all costs! Honestly, it's very rare that I leave such harsh reviews, but given that it's in a very pretty location, and being on a busy port during peak season, they shouldn't neglect the quality of their food. Ps: however, it should have raised a red flag for me given that there were few people there.

26/07/2026: Inn located on the ascent to the Petit Ballon. The service is incredibly friendly, and the dishes feature local cheeses. The prices are more than reasonable, and the portions are generous. Thank you for the meal after a long day of hiking.

26/05/2026: A charming farmhouse in a stunning location with views of the Grand Ballon. A wonderful refuge from the scorching heat in the valley! Excellent, rustic Alsatian cuisine! It was delicious – we'll definitely be back!

05/07/2026: Nice place equipped with misters to cool the terrace... the only good point... the port of Somail is a superb location... it's a shame that the only ice cream shop there offers industrially produced ice cream of more than mediocre quality, which is completely unworthy of this fabulous spot on the banks of the Canal du Midi... especially at the price they charge, it deserves superior quality, even artisanal, ice cream... first and last time for me!

23/05/2026: Excellent service from Mehdi! Attentive, cheerful, and helpful, it's a pleasure to be served by someone like that :) Reliable pizzas (not authentic Italian, mind you), but like at all Domino's, they do the job.

29/04/2026: Very small room for a couple with a young kid, even we have asked in advance for a crib, we got a very small room. We even paid for 50 euro for early checkin and 73 euro for the parking, still we got a tiny room when we arrived at noon at hotel. The receptionists came to tell us that we can have a crib but we will have no space to walk in the room so we said it’s ok not to have a crib. Then, no additional towels available even we asked the reception in the afternoon of Friday, until we came back from diner around 1am the next morning, no towel at room. We had to use our clothes after shower to dry up. Why we had to ask for additional towels? Because the toilet had a problem and the water flushed out on the bathroom floor, so we had to use all the towels to absorb the water. Also no shower gel (the bottle was empty), cleaning staff did room cleaning but didn’t check/refill shower gel.

23/03/2026: I’ve been staying at this hotel regularly for almost 15 years. Friendly staff, good location for business travel a short walk to Gare de Lyon. It has everything you need. If you are a tourist then something in the 4th, 5th, 6th may suit you better, but for me this offers the best trade off of location and access to the non-touristy “real” Paris of the 11th and 12th.

26/01/2026: Very good pizza, excellent panna cotta, good welcome from the owner (better than in his early days, it's true), old-fashioned interior, but the important thing is to eat well with good products!

12/01/2026: Excellent homemade pizzas. The owner was very welcoming and offered suggestions to suit our tastes, even though we arrived at 1 p.m. on a Sunday without a reservation. I highly recommend it.

15/05/2026: In my opinion, the best sushi restaurant in Val-d'Oise! The fish is top quality, very fresh, and the skewers are excellent—far superior to those at other restaurants in the area. I highly recommend this place! The only slight downside is the prices, which are a bit high, but the quality of the ingredients more than justifies it. ☺️

11/04/2026: Slow service, bland, tasteless ramen with an excess of mushrooms compared to the meager amount of noodles served with fried chicken soaked in broth, and overcooked gyozas. Avoid.

17/07/2026: We were very disappointed with our visit to this golden brioche. We've been there many times for Italian ice cream, and it's been worth the price. Today, we were served a small cup of Italian ice cream... barely six small spoonfuls in the cup. The waitress told us that the quantity varies from server to server. Today, for 3 euros, it was a rip-off. The amount in a cone is very good. What a difference between the cup and the cone! I mentioned it, and we won't be back if this happens again.

10/07/2026: Excellent restaurant! The non-alcoholic strawberry mojito was the best I've ever had! The ribeye steak was incredible too, everything was delicious, and the setting was lovely and pleasant with a view of the port. I highly recommend it! ☀️
