27/08/2026: It's great to only order what you want. Fresh, prepared to order. The staff is truly lovely. However, they should consider a heating solution for the winter. It's not pleasant to keep your down jacket on at the table.

04/10/2026: Despite the fact that the crepes were good and generously filled, the service was disastrous! The table wasn't set. There were no cutlery, no napkins, and no water carafe (until the end of the meal). We had to ask for napkins and cutlery (several times). I had to go get a menu to choose desserts because the service was so slow, and I also had to go and place my order... And to top it off, part of the order was missing, which the waiter asked me to cancel on the receipt when I arrived to pay at the counter. I also heard other customers complaining, and no apology or attempt at self-reflection was ever made.

22/09/2026: A very good experience! A warm and pleasant atmosphere. The waitress was very kind and attentive. The manager took excellent care of us and regularly checked to see if everything was alright. As for the food, the galettes were very good, and the desserts were too. We had a great time and will gladly return. I recommend it! 😊

20/07/2026: Our experience as weekend tourists visiting from Scotland was great. Super friendly staff, great service and lovely drinks. Just off the main tourist area, mainly French customers which was exactly what we wanted. Would recommend for a nice evening en terrasse ☺️

27/09/2026: We came as a couple on a Sunday at lunchtime. We were seated quickly, and our order was taken after a few minutes' wait, which was already a bit long despite the few people on the terrace. We then waited quite a while for our starters. As soon as they were finished, the plates were cleared, and the main course was served immediately, without really giving us a chance to catch our breath. Despite this, we then waited about 30 to 45 minutes before our food arrived. We finally decided to leave after the main course, without ordering dessert or coffee, because the wait had become far too long. Especially since there weren't many people on the terrace and there were only three servers. When it came time to pay, a waitress asked us how the meal had been. We simply explained that we found the service very slow. Her response surprised us quite a bit: she clearly told us that, since we were young, we could wait, and that on Sundays, "you shouldn't be in a hurry." We can certainly understand that service might be slower on a Sunday, but this comment seemed rather inappropriate and, in our opinion, doesn't justify such a long wait. It's a shame, because with smoother service and, above all, a more pleasant attitude towards customer feedback, the experience would have been much better.

27/08/2026: The pastries aren't as fresh as at Auchan! They're getting pastries from the back room instead of using what's on display! It's like they're serving yesterday's products!

17/10/2026: Marie Jean in Sète completely won us over. The exceptionally friendly, attentive, and warm staff deserves special mention; they created a pleasant atmosphere from the moment we arrived. The fish dishes were superbly prepared, fresh, and bursting with flavor. It's immediately apparent that great emphasis is placed on quality and excellent cuisine. Families with children are also very welcome here. Children receive a warm welcome, making the restaurant visit particularly relaxing for the whole family. All in all, we enjoyed wonderful evenings with excellent food, friendly service, and a fantastic, inviting atmosphere. We will definitely return and wholeheartedly recommend Marie Jean!

22/05/2026: The hotel was excellent, with very friendly staff. They have an excellent kitchen and a reasonably extensive wellness area. In addition, there is a very beautiful garden where it is pleasant to spend time. The location was by the river, a 5-minute walk from the center.

21/06/2026: As someone who absolutely loves tartare, this was one of the restaurants I was most excited to visit during my trip. Unfortunately, the experience ended up being a bit more mixed than I had hoped. We ordered the platter designed for two people, which included several different styles of tartare. The concept was interesting and allowed us to sample a variety of flavors, but the dishes were somewhat different from what I had imagined beforehand. There was nothing particularly bad about the food—in fact, some of it was quite enjoyable—but overall it didn’t quite deliver the level of excitement I was expecting. If I had to choose a favorite, it would probably be the French-style beef tartare, which had the most balanced flavor and was the standout of the selection. The fish tartares were fresh and pleasant enough, but they didn’t leave a lasting impression. Given the restaurant’s specialization, I had hoped for something a little more memorable or unique. The biggest disappointment of the evening, however, was the wine. We ordered a Bourgogne, but it was served noticeably too warm, which significantly affected both the aroma and flavor. As a result, it was difficult to appreciate the characteristics one would normally expect from a Burgundy wine. The glassware was also quite small, which further reduced the overall enjoyment of the wine experience. To be fair, the service was polite and professional throughout the meal. The staff were attentive and welcoming, and I have no complaints regarding the hospitality. Perhaps my expectations were simply very high because I am such a fan of tartare, but I left feeling slightly underwhelmed. While the concept is appealing and the service is good, the food and wine did not fully live up to what I had hoped for. Not a bad experience by any means—just one that didn’t quite meet expectations. 🍷🥩

06/06/2026: Very disappointed to arrive at this restaurant and it’s closed. Giving it a one star because they obviously haven’t updated their hours AND had a sign on their door that says they are open today. A waste of time and a loss of potential customers.
