07/10/2026: Honestly, I was super surprised by this place I stumbled upon! The service is top-notch, the waiters are absolutely lovely and always smiling, the food is delicious—I had the chicken escalope with Breton sauce, which I highly recommend—and the prices, whether for food or beers, are really very reasonable and affordable, with a set menu of starter and main course or main course and dessert for 17 euros. And the atmosphere is fantastic!

02/10/2026: I was very disappointed with my lunch. My salmon poke bowl was inedible, drowning in sauce. The manager offered to remake it with the sauce on the side, but using, among other things, the salmon and mango from the returned bowl, citing the cost of the ingredients. I had to pay the bill for a dish I couldn't eat, without any gesture of goodwill or apology despite my dissatisfaction. A complete lack of consideration for the customer. For me, that was the last time.

24/09/2026: I don't think my opinion will be of much use, but I feel I must give it. Aside from an interesting market setting and reasonably friendly service, the food is truly very poorly executed. Even if you expect ultra-simple cuisine, there are limits; simplicity doesn't preclude good cooking. The oyster, for example, is simply opened, which is normal. But the meat, which is decent enough, is cooked terribly and very poorly. I ordered it rare, and it arrived completely crimson (black and smelling burnt) on one side and barely cooked on the other. For a chef, cooking even a simple ingredient properly is the foundation of the profession. Undercooked frozen fries—in short, a very bad place. We're from the area and eat in Saint-Jean frequently. There are many quality restaurants, ranging from good to very good, even excellent, but thankfully, few fall into this very low category. It's a shame, because the setting could be pleasant in the category of market bistros.

23/09/2026: First time at this place. Great experience. Simple, warm, friendly, very pleasant servers. I'll definitely be back.

25/08/2026: It was pretty average. The cake was decent but nothing special, and the matcha was just okay. The service was a bit lacking in attention.

05/09/2026: A superb experience at the Wallace. Battite and Flo always welcome us with a smile. They're true icons of this Toulouse institution that I've been frequenting for years… And yet, it's only today that I've decided to leave a review… The names mentioned above certainly played a part in that. Thank you to them, I highly recommend it ❤️

05/09/2026: The waiter wasn't very pleasant and casually informed us 20 minutes after we ordered that the drink was no longer available, without apology. Furthermore, we ordered two lemonades but were served two different things…

15/08/2025: A very good experience; the mussels in cream sauce were excellent, and they served mojitos as an aperitif with their own special touch. Very welcoming staff 🙂

14/08/2025: Absolutely avoid this place... following our visit, my wife suffered food poisoning from a salad; as for me, my mackerel was served with new potatoes swimming in butter, with no lemon whatsoever to accompany the fish; and my café liégeois was completely melted under the pretext that they added real coffee (perhaps it would be wise to let it cool before adding it to the ice cream).

16/06/2026: A very chic restaurant, well located next to the marina and in the city center. The food was carefully prepared and delicious. Friendly staff.

30/05/2026: Very welcoming and friendly staff. Refined meal, a restaurant to remember. I will return.

28/07/2026: A discovery made after a road closure due to a fire led us to the Hôtel du Pont d'Or in Barjols, a family-run establishment spanning three generations. The welcome makes you feel like you're arriving at a family gathering. The staff, and especially the owner, are very kind and always smiling; it's very pleasant. We slept, and slept well. The hotel was recently renovated. The breakfast is very generous 😋😋 and we had dinner at the restaurant. The food is excellent, and the menu caters to various budgets. I think this establishment will become an annual stop on our refreshing trip to the Alpes de Haute Provence!

12/09/2026: It's pathetic! I was there eating a €26 menu. They took a long time to serve me. I ate a sad entrecote that had the nerve of Christ all over it, it was like choking. As soon as I finished the meal I had to go to the bathroom, I spent about 15 minutes there, I had a glass of epic. It's a nice trinket but I'm not going there to eat again, not even if I'm invited!!!!

25/09/2026: Excellent value for money! The calf's head was very well cooked and the waitress was fantastic! I highly recommend it!

05/09/2026: The service was poor; the peanuts were reserved for bar customers, and there was no choice of food other than what the waitress suggested (no menu). It was Saturday, and supposedly the price was higher than during the week, but there was no more choice. Very, very, very disappointed... I will not recommend it to any of my friends. Over 60 euros for two people: salad, a slice of pâté, a slice of pancetta, and a slice of cured ham for the starter. A slice of cooked ham and about ten frog legs with potato gratin (dauphinois). No choice of side dishes for the main courses. A slice of fig tart and a crème brûlée for dessert. We didn't know if they had cheese... we weren't offered anything. A glass of Communard and a mint water. I gave it one star, otherwise I can't publish it.

08/08/2026: A small restaurant that doesn't look like much from the outside but is definitely worth a visit! Very good, clearly homemade dishes. A special mention for the apple fritter for dessert!
