02/01/2026: We stayed three nights at the Auberge de Savoie in Moûtiers with friends. The welcome was very good, and the staff were pleasant and smiling, which was much appreciated. However, our experience was severely marred by serious issues with comfort and cleanliness. From the moment we arrived, there was an extremely unpleasant sewer smell in the room. Air freshener plugs were already in place to mask the odor, but they were toilet air fresheners, which still left a persistent and very unpleasant smell. So much so that all our clothes left smelling of it, even those in our suitcases. The carpet in the room was in a deplorable state: numerous questionable stains, a very dirty appearance, to the point that we didn't dare walk barefoot or in socks. It clearly hadn't been thoroughly cleaned in a long time. The box spring was also stained (including with blood), which is unacceptable. Other negative points: • No safe in the room • The two single beds were not at the same height, and the mattresses were very worn • We had pushed the beds together to sleep as a couple, but housekeeping systematically separated them again • The trash was not emptied • The blankets were barely made, giving the impression of sloppy cleaning On the positive side, the bathroom was reasonably clean. In summary, despite a friendly welcome, the overall condition of the room and the lack of cleanliness do not meet the expectations one has for a multi-night stay. Significant improvements are needed regarding hygiene, room maintenance, and odor control.

19/12/2025: Excellent inn, 100% Savoyard. I highly recommend it. And above all, a very good restaurant.

29/05/2026: Never again. What a disappointment. I absolutely do not recommend it. The food is very disappointing and of poor quality. A ghost hotel. One person trying to do everything, while five people were staying overnight. The only positive point is its location. But avoid it. A sinking ship, in my opinion.

16/05/2026: We stopped by early in the morning before continuing our walk on the Camino de Santiago. The staff were very welcoming and accommodating. We enjoyed a hearty breakfast before setting off. Alain was always ready to help.

08/08/2026: Friendly welcome, two pizzas as ordered, but the quality-to-price ratio was appalling. A place to avoid if you truly love pizza.

04/07/2026: Hello, I went there at lunchtime for takeout. A calzone. I noticed that one of the eggs was missing. Broken inside. Too bad. Yet the price hasn't gone down...

04/03/2026: This is no longer the same restaurant. The one I tried was very good.

21/11/2025: Little hidden gem that makes simply great food. I went for a quick lunch at it was cold outside and a bowl of pho hit the spot. I had a work evening event and decided to come back again for a quick late dinner.

17/03/2026: Thank you for your hospitality! The journey to Saint Jean de la Blaquiere was magnificent 🌄, but very difficult 😓. A truly unforgettable experience nonetheless!

25/02/2026: "Open every day from 11:30 am to 5:30 pm" means it's closed at 1 pm...

16/07/2026: July 16, 2026 at 10:05 AM... A store to avoid! Terrible service. I asked for two ham and Emmental sandwiches. The cashier curtly replied, "We don't have any." I asked if it was possible to make some. "No." I'm a customer, not a friend! Go to the one in the Auchan La Sapinière shopping center, right next to the Thiriet store. You'll be well received and served there.

15/07/2026: It's a real shame to advertise opening hours until 8pm and then when we arrive at 7:45pm the doors are closed and the saleswoman doesn't even bother to come and open them!

20/07/2026: The Raft of the Medusa: 40 minutes to order two McFlurries, friendly cashier, mistake on the bill then on the order, plus an extra charge for bad faith; luckily a supervisor intervened. In conclusion, avoid at all costs.

20/07/2026: Very slow service and many products unavailable.

30/07/2026: Whatever you do, don't order a custom pizza; they can't read what to add or remove. You end up paying €16 for a pizza with a different crust, an ingredient you asked them to remove that's still there, and two missing ingredients. No compensation was offered for the 45-minute drive to pick up the "corrected" order, plus the extra wait time, since they made another mistake after checking our "remade" order. We were politely told that to err is human, and yes, we agree, but forgetting to add or remove more than five items on two pizzas isn't what I call an error, especially when we encounter at least one mistake every time we order from them. So, I don't know, start by hiring staff who can read an order form or, at the very least, start investing in machines that will make fewer "human errors." (Don't order by phone, as they don't understand anything and don't note down the specifics).

15/07/2026: We came to pick up some takeaway pizzas last night, and unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. First of all, the pizzas were very poorly cut, which isn't very practical for eating. Secondly, the organization on site didn't seem optimal, with a feeling of disorganization and a somewhat confusing wait. But the most worrying thing is that after eating, all three of us were sick the next day. Given the intense heat, we suspect that some of the ingredients may have been affected by the heat, which is really concerning. It's a shame because we used to come here regularly, but this experience has definitely put us off.

18/07/2026: Nice location, this year the service was slightly slower than in previous years.

13/07/2026: We came for lunch today as a couple and ordered the set menu, which included salads. The problem was that the dressing was just water on the cucumbers; the white sauce was runny and watered down. The salad itself was sparse, with very few ingredients—just a few salad greens, yes, but the rest was practically nonexistent: three slices of tomato and beetroot. I absolutely do not recommend this restaurant.

27/07/2026: The team is fantastic, they have a great sense of humor, excellent service, and are so friendly… And on top of that, the food is delicious! Absolutely perfect! We love it!

13/06/2026: After 15 days in the hospital, I know why I had my first proper meal there; I highly recommend them.

29/11/2025: Avoid at all costs; the service was very disappointing.

12/07/2026: We stopped at the farm inn during our trip on the Velodyssée. Initially planning to camp in our tent, we ended up booking a room because of the heatwave with our son. Arrival was convenient; we were able to have our picnic outside at midday and get our room keys immediately. The evening meal was delicious and the welcome was warm. The location is beautiful, nestled in the marshes. The room was clean. We had one of our best nights' sleep! The place is calm and peaceful.

03/07/2026: Excellent farm dinner experience: the meal was local (and organic), and the couple who hosted us were so lovely, open, and helpful. A wonderful encounter in a place you have to seek out and be willing to venture off the beaten path to. We also had a great time with Tobi the frog and discovering their long-horned cattle (all of which is optional, of course).

28/09/2025: What a memorable experience at the Edelweiss Restaurant! I ordered a moussaka, hoping for an explosion of Greek flavors, but what a surprise: potatoes as crunchy as forgotten potato chips at the back of a cupboard. My partner, perplexed, dared to ask if this was normal. The waitress, lovely but overwhelmed, sent the plate back to the kitchen. And then, drumroll please, the chef himself bursts in, like a hero of a culinary tragedy, to defend his crunchy potatoes, a sacred recipe for the past 20 years! According to him, melt-in-your-mouth is for the weak; real moussaka is crunch or nothing. The result? A plate sent back, a disgusted partner who settled for dessert (decent, but well, it's hard to mess up a cheese platter), and me finishing my meal as a spectator to a gastronomic drama. Advice to the owner: a little humility and a thermometer for your potatoes might prevent a dinner from turning into a philosophical debate. We'll come back... or maybe not!

21/05/2026: A disgrace to the entire community! I went there twice, each time greeted by different staff… but with the exact same lack of professionalism. Apparently, it's their signature. Service rushed through in a minute flat: sandwich not even heated, no cutlery provided, no friendliness whatsoever. Here, you get the impression that all they care about is your money. The most shocking thing is the staff's attitude: a saleswoman had the nerve to rudely reprimand a customer who had mistakenly named a cake, correcting him aggressively and humiliatingly in front of everyone. Since when do you speak to customers like that? A minimum of respect and courtesy should be the foundation of any business. Avoid it, unless you enjoy places where you are greeted with coldness, contempt, and rudeness.
