02/09/2026: During a business lunch for 17 people, I particularly appreciated the speed and organization of the very professional service, which allowed us to eat without waiting and stick to our schedule for the day. The welcome was very friendly, and the homemade dishes and desserts were very good at reasonable prices. I think the current Google rating is really harsh; this restaurant deserves better!

01/09/2026: My son and I, fresh from visiting the Parc des Princes, weren't expecting such great value for money in this neighborhood! A wonderful welcome, friendly staff, and delicious food (summer salad and beef tartare with homemade fries)! A huge thank you again!

19/09/2026: The owner and his staff are very welcoming, the food is good, there are many tables outside, it's pleasant and the view is beautiful.

19/08/2026: No complaints about the service. However, the quality of the food and the chef's attitude make one long for the days when this brasserie was renowned. Indeed, the ribeye steak I was served, besides being overcooked (I ordered it rare), was ridiculously small and, above all, extremely tough, to the point that I had to send it back. The cook sent it back with the sinew removed (a quarter of the steak) and the rest cut into small pieces! So I returned the plate to him and endured his disdainful attitude. I finally left having only ordered a starter, a tiny portion of overly vinegary baby squid.

01/09/2026: Extremely good service and very fair prices

15/10/2025: Six of us had dinner here last night and it was excellent. The soup, fish tartare, foie gras were lovely starters. The plats included salmon, lamb and chicken, all delicious. Dessert was a delicious chocolate construction and lavender crème brûlée. The waiter was very helpful with English descriptions of the dishes, chose some dishes for several of our party and had excellent wine recommendations. Service was quick and not cloying. And we relaxed after dessert finishing our wine without being bothered. One of the best restaurants we’ve been to in Malaucene and we’ve been to most of them. Would put this as one of the top three.

18/04/2026: Quick and efficient service. The food is simple, but that's exactly what you're looking for when you come here: a quick, good meal at a reasonable price. Located near the slopes, it's the perfect place for a quick 45-minute to 1-hour meal.

19/09/2026: Whether you eat in or take away, the semolina is perfectly fine, and the vegetables are excellent. In short, I love it.

03/05/2026: The quality has changed. Nothing was fresh, from the semolina to the raisins. The tagines were dry. Out of 10 people, 8 got sick 😷

04/09/2026: I ordered a tartiflette, and I got everything but a tartiflette… I don't know if it was even tartiflette cheese. Then the service was rather frosty; the person was annoyed, probably going through a rough patch.

04/09/2026: Good evening, What can I say… I came to eat at this restaurant with my daughter. The meal was good, no complaints there! However, the manager is very unpleasant to customers. He even sits down at a table and drinks a glass of rosé that the customer paid for, saying, "It's my restaurant, I do what I want." The worst part is, he plays his music so loud you can't even hear yourself think; it's outrageous. Finally, it would be nice to have toilet paper in the restrooms. Just so you know.

19/06/2026: In Marseille, I was looking for a restaurant and stumbled upon L'Étoile d'Égypte, which had opened just a week earlier. I had a cordon bleu for €11, a generous couscous, mint tea, and half a bottle of water. I couldn't believe it! I gave it a 9 out of 10. I have 43 years of experience in the restaurant industry in Chamonix Mont Blanc, and a good meal now and then really lifts my spirits.

18/07/2026: The bread is excellent and is offered in three baking options (white, regular, and well-baked). The staff are welcoming and friendly, with a special mention for Tom who serves me regularly.
