20/09/2026: If you're used to McDonald's in North Rhine-Westphalia, you'll be pleasantly surprised here. So, McDonald's can actually be run and operated by "normal" people. The employees were friendly, focused, and efficient. And everyone was wearing hairnets. We haven't seen that since the 80s, I think. The restaurant was very clean. Our order was ready quickly. We're completely unaccustomed to both of those things in the Ruhr area. The clientele, mostly students and families with children, was quite lively. Price comparison: Hamburger here €2.95 (currently €2.50 in Germany), Cheeseburger here €3.70 (currently €2.75 in Germany), Large Fries €3.90. And the hamburgers seemed smaller than in Germany.

19/09/2026: Avoid at all costs. Let's start with the composed salads: ridiculously small and sold at an absolutely exorbitant price. Three lettuce leaves barely visible, a few ingredients haphazardly placed on top, and… that's it. No real effort put into it, not much substance, and certainly no real taste. At that price, we expected at least something to eat. The children's menu at around €14 is just as generous: 5 nuggets and a few fries. Thankfully, a syrup and an ice cream are included, to give the illusion of a complete meal. For the price, you'd almost expect the nuggets to be homemade… but no, let's not get our hopes up. The service also deserves its moment in the spotlight. Only one waitress seems to be actually working and running around everywhere, while some colleagues have clearly chosen a different approach to service: daydreaming, chatting quietly at their tables with friends… In short, to each their own pace. The end-of-season grumpiness is generously offered to the customer. Irritated tones, impatience, glasses slammed down on the table… and, to top it all off, an argument between staff members in the middle of service. It's always a pleasure to get a free behind-the-scenes look at the establishment during your meal. End-of-season fatigue is understandable. However, it's not the customer's responsibility to pay for it, especially with prices like these. The only thing worth saving: the crepes, both savory and sweet, which are quite good. For the rest, the experience mainly served to remind us that a high price unfortunately guarantees neither quality on the plate nor quality of service. 26/09/2026: Terrible. We came to have a drink on the terrace and nobody came out. I finally went inside to order, and apart from the exorbitant price for two drinks, the waitress decided to wander around the entire terrace serving everyone else, bringing them drinks and even food, while I waited over 20 minutes for two measly drinks. Furthermore, the customer service was incredibly unfriendly, especially considering we were in a tourist area.

30/06/2026: An exceptional restaurant in an exceptional setting. The menu was creative, unique, and full of interesting flavors. It was a truly memorable experience and one I would love to repeat someday. We only visited the restaurant and did not stay at the hotel.

They're made with quality ingredients! Beyond these deceptively simple tapas, the place is warm and welcoming. Like home, it's an institution in the 20th arrondissement where you always meet new people because the owner's spirit is just as open as all her guests.

12/08/2026: A rather mixed review. The rooftop is very pleasant, and the dishes are good, original, and beautifully presented. It's a shame the service is so chaotic. We arrived at 8 pm and left at 11 pm for a starter, a main course, and a dessert, with a 30-40 minute wait between each course. Adding to this was a rather bewildering organization: the wine was brought while we were still having our aperitifs, the aperitif glasses remained on the table throughout the meal, and we were served sliced ​​bread instead. I also had to ask twice for water for my dog, and when it was finally brought to me, the response was: "Here you go, water for the mutt." So much for elegance and professionalism. It's a real shame because the food is excellent and the setting is very nice. But if you want to try it, plan your evening accordingly!
