Business is business, it has to keep moving...

09/09/2026: A very bad experience at Les Petits Fourneaux for lunch with my son: (1) The waitress made us wait a long time because she didn't know if she had a free table. (2) My son ordered an adult burger instead of the children's menu because that's what he wanted. (3) He didn't like the strong cheese in it and thought it wasn't the one he had ordered. (4) We were told it was the cheese we were expecting and offered to change our order. (5) When the bill came, we were asked to pay for both dishes. (6) I explained that in any restaurant, when they offer to "change the dish," it's supposed to be free of charge. Otherwise, they should clearly state this and specify the price of the new dish. (7) The response was, "Are you going to teach me my job?" CONCLUSION: A non-profit restaurant that doesn't pay VAT but charges you the same price as before it became a non-profit, for food that has clearly declined in quality and service that doesn't hesitate to make fun of customers.

03/09/2026: We went for lunch, the vegetarian food was delicious. We tried the burger and the dish of the day. The atmosphere was charming and the staff were friendly. Highly recommended 🫶🏼

18/10/2026: It's impossible to give zero stars on Google Maps. I hope that will change someday. The Black Stone is a hangout for bourgeois types from the 16th arrondissement of Paris who gather amongst themselves. So far, nothing problematic. People go where they want. However, the prices are also typical of restaurants in the 16th arrondissement. Yet, the Black Stone is located in the middle of nowhere, opposite a football pitch. How can they justify the exorbitant price of their pint of Guinness (€9.50)? To make matters worse, they only accept cards for purchases over €10.00. How strange! Ultimately, you have to pay €19.00 for two Guinnesses if you want to pay by card. It's simply outrageous. I said exactly the same thing about O'Brady's. But at the Black Stone, it's even more vicious. When I asked the waiter if the owner of the establishment was the same as the owner of O'Brady's, he curtly replied, "Not at all! Why?" Thanks for the warm welcome! I'll also mention the service. I ordered my beer directly at the bar, so I don't know if they offer table service, but I imagine they do. At the Black Stone, you don't even have time to finish your beer. The waiter snatches it from your hands before you've even finished it! What a complete lack of respect! He pretends to be running around and busy, even though there are several waiters and we were only 10 customers. On top of that, he's particularly unpleasant. When you speak to him, he runs off and mutters an incomprehensible reply under his breath. Typical of the bourgeois types from the 16th arrondissement who have no time for anything or anyone and who snub every human being they meet! Let's talk about the restrooms now. I simply wanted to use the restroom after finishing my beer. Not finding them, I politely asked the waiter where they were. To which he rudely replied: "The restrooms are for customers only. You have to have ordered a drink to use the restroom!" I must be dreaming! I ordered my beer from the same waiter 20 minutes earlier! In despair, I told him I had ordered a drink and offered to show him the receipt. Luckily, I had kept it! He replied (still aggressively): "No, it's fine..." I found the restrooms myself. As for marketing, the menus are AI-generated. Absolutely no creativity. I have rarely been treated as badly as at the Black Stone. I went there with a friend. When I left, I had spent €38.00 on four beers (of which I only drank two). An absolute scandal. Who else in Marseille charges such high prices? If you're a snobbish bourgeois living in the 16th arrondissement of Paris and you hate poverty and the poor in general, then Black Stone is for you!

16/09/2026: I only ordered one grilled chicken, but I didn't like it at all. For me, it was far too greasy, perhaps because there was a lot of skin and also because it was smothered in mayonnaise. The rice underneath had no taste and was more like cardboard. A big disappointment considering the reviews (and I'm not sure it's as authentic as it claims).

12/09/2026: It was a random visit. Nevertheless, we were sitted and had very nice meal and time. Portions were very generous.

19/09/2026: A very good meal from the amuse-bouche to the coffee. Everything was refined, visually appealing, and perfectly balanced. Having informed us that there were vegetarians in our party, several starters were made available, and the chef prepared a special dish not listed on the menu. In short, I highly recommend it for the very pleasant staff, the simple yet elegant setting, and especially for the superbly executed cuisine.

28/09/2026: Excellent restaurant, fresh and carefully selected ingredients. Being pregnant, the servers were careful to cook my dish thoroughly. The prices are very reasonable for the quantity and quality served; I highly recommend it!

26/10/2026: A wonderful discovery. The setting is superb, the food fantastic. Special mention to the Rouen-style crêpe, which was absolutely delicious. Plus, our dog was very well received with a bowl of water. The staff were very welcoming and pleasant.

29/10/2026: A wonderful restaurant. The staff is very welcoming and full of helpful advice. The location is beautiful. I also noticed an improvement in the lighting. Small, charming, rustic chandeliers have been added, which complements the candlelight that was previously insufficient.

26/10/2026: A truly original and refreshing experience! After a 30-minute walk, what a lovely surprise to discover this completely self-contained restaurant. Everything was perfect: the welcome, the meal, the atmosphere, and the quick service. A special mention for the very kind waiter who made the experience even more enjoyable. An unusual concept that we loved! We highly recommend it! 😊

28/09/2026: A well-deserved 4.9 stars! We were in the area this Sunday at lunchtime and we're proud to review this establishment. 27/09/2026: A most pleasant place, air-conditioned, with a very warm welcome, a big smile, and always a kind word. Refined and original cuisine made with fresh, seasonal produce. As customers for several years, we have never been disappointed. I highly recommend this restaurant.

14/10/2026: We arrived at 1:30 PM and were greeted with forced cordiality. We were told the kitchens were closed and that there were two "chef's choice" options left, the price of which we had to ask about. A dish arrived that was edible but clearly not homemade, and it was quite difficult to digest. We really felt ripped off. The decor is nice.

10/10/2026: Exceptional. Everything was delicious. The service was incredible, attentive, and warm. We had a wonderful time. We will definitely return on our next trip to Paris.

28/09/2026: Denis does his job with passion and great professionalism. I find his fish is always excellent with a good side of vegetables, his creamy soups are original, and his desserts are delicious. You can go to his restaurant for lunch or dinner without hesitation! I highly recommend it!

19/08/2026: Don't order the salads! They cost €2 but are sold for €10: one olive, two cherry tomatoes, and three sprigs of green. The bowl costs more, I think, and that's just the tip of the iceberg. Enjoy your meal!

18/08/2026: I used to order here; the service used to be really good, but it has declined a lot over time... the pizzas are getting smaller and smaller, and the salmon was full of bones.
