10/07/2026: Fantastic experience at L’Ardoise du 15! We had dinner as a couple; I ordered perfectly cooked kidneys, and my husband chose octopus tentacle with fregola in tomato sauce. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The restaurant's setting and atmosphere were very pleasant. We especially appreciated the chef's attentiveness; he came to advise us on wine and, more importantly, asked for our feedback in the dining room. I highly recommend this restaurant!

25/01/2026: Deceptive business practices and unjustified prices. Avoid at all costs: this establishment exploits the lack of competition to trap customers. It capitalizes on its proximity to the theater to charge exorbitant prices with complete impunity. The experience was surreal. With no non-alcoholic or sugar-free drinks available, we opted for an herbal tea. They then tried to charge us a €4 "hot drink surcharge after 5 pm"! We had to ask for the menu and check for ourselves to discover that the actual surcharge was €0.80. A billing "error" that is nothing short of a blatant rip-off. I sincerely feel for the waitress who seemed to be struggling, caught between high-pressure sales tactics and understandably exasperated customers. Don't be fooled by the location; walk a little further and spend your money at an honest restaurant.

24/01/2026: Avoid this place at all costs! We went there after a show because it was the closest bar, and the evening turned into a disaster… Dry January being what it is, I ordered two non-alcoholic beers (priced at €6 each, no less!), but they were out of everything except one that wasn't cold. So we ended up ordering a crepe (€5) and an herbal tea (€4.20), and when it came time to pay, the waitress told me it was €13 and that there was a surcharge on hot drinks after 5 pm. Seriously, who does that, considering it's not a bar but a restaurant and they don't offer anything else without alcohol or sugar? We were a large group, everyone paid for their drinks, and at the end, the waitress told us that €39 was missing from the bill. We checked the whole bill again and realized they had added extra drinks. But they wouldn't listen, and we had to pay for their rip-off. And to top it all off, being honest, I checked the menu to see where the mistake might have been, and I saw that the surcharge for hot drinks was €0.80. I had to show them that I'd been charged €13 and that they'd charged me €8 for an herbal tea before they'd even bother to give me a refund. In short, this place is a disgrace, and these people should be punished for ripping off customers like this.

28/08/2026: Excellent place, the best bar in Valmont. You can relax and have a good laugh. As a seasonal worker, I spent the whole season there. The food is delicious and the welcome is always warm! The dartboard is great, and the swings at the bar are very nice. Highly recommended!

Miguel walked us through a half dozen wines with our preferred profile, as well as showed us a few that we rounds have otherwise tried. We ended up buying a case to ship back to the states. He’s the best, and this wine shop is top notch.

08/08/2026: We had the pleasure of trying the lunch menu, and it was exceptional. Every single dish was fantastic, but the rhubarb dessert was the absolute standout, pure perfection. My only minor note is that the sauce paired with the carrot was a touch too sweet for my taste, but everything else was so spot-on that you really can't go wrong coming here.

07/08/2026: We thought we were in a three-star restaurant, but we were wrong. Enough of these tourist neighbors who sit at their tables like pigs, even eating the bags of chips they put down on the table, or those other neighbors who are having a loud video call on their smartphones. The worst part is, no waiter or staff member says a word to them, but just accepts it all... Is this what respecting other customers means? I wonder where the line is drawn when it comes to dress and behavior. I was practically the only one wearing a jacket, as requested, but the other customers were in multicolored shirts, T-shirts, and sneakers, and apparently, that's perfectly normal since no one says anything to them! Why didn't I come in jeans and sneakers? I made the effort, but frankly, the restaurant couldn't care less! Here, they ask for elegant attire, reminding you before you arrive, but then you come and lounge around in a T-shirt and sneakers at your table, spend the evening glued to your smartphones, make some noise, and bring your own bag of chips (look at the picture)! We weren't in a luxury hotel with a Michelin-starred restaurant, but rather in a waiting room at a bustling train station. As for the food, it was sauces, sauces, and more sauces... Far too cloying and completely unbalanced. Very disappointed considering the price paid, this supposedly chic establishment, and the repeated emails about the required elegant attire.

29/07/2026: The question I asked myself as soon as I entered this family-run restaurant was: why didn't I come sooner? The welcome begins as you pass by a beautiful wood fire, which makes you want to taste the meats being cooked over it. The French cuisine is executed so well, with flavor and expertise. The wood-fired cooking method is respected, and the menu is very reasonably priced considering the quality. The terrace and dining room are very charming. A flawless experience.
