14/07/2026: A very disappointing experience. From the moment I entered, the security guard behaved disrespectfully and unacceptablely. At the bar, after I had ordered drinks, the bartender refused to serve me a simple glass of tap water, even though I was a customer, in violation of Article L. 541-15-10 of the French Environmental Code, which mandates the provision of free drinking water to customers. I do not recommend this establishment.

14/07/2026: Unpleasant owner They say it's free before 8:30 PM but charge us €10 for entry! A lie! Not to mention the power outage 👀 so no match for 10 minutes

17/07/2026: I stopped to get a sandwich. Given what was left, I ordered chicken wraps. The wrap, and not just at this bakery, is a real rip-off. Considering the size of the chicken inside. Luckily, the taste was good. I won't be having my lunch break there again. Very friendly service.

12/06/2026: Pretty good bakery, but be warned, I asked for a vegetarian quiche to take away, and they sold me a tuna quiche!!!!

26/05/2026: Ordered two pizzas for takeout. I get home, and there were mistakes on both orders: the pizzas weren't cut, they were bland, dry, and just plain awful. They even gave me the wrong change. In short, never again, and AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! See for yourself in the picture of my "cooked ham pizza." €15 per pizza!

14/07/2026: Good bakery we've been going to for 5 years, but the experience is sometimes spoiled by the unpleasant attitude of one of the cashiers (always the same one). The one who works weekday mornings, however, is always very pleasant.

19/07/2026: Ordering was easy, and the products were fresh and high quality. I chose the current sushi box, which offers a variety of sushi at a good price 🍣 Picking up the order in store went very smoothly.

08/07/2026: I wanted to try Sushi Shop. It was a disappointment because we ordered the €45 box with mochi. When we got home, I noticed the desserts were missing. Passing through town again, I went into the shop to let them know about the oversight. The saleswoman told me to send an email. Too bad, I won't be going back.

29/01/2026: Hello, we think it would be helpful to review this with more recent reviews! We made a reservation for a birthday. On the day, we received a call two hours beforehand to cancel our reservation. Given our disappointment (we're new to Angoulême), we were eager to try the restaurant... after 10 minutes, they offered us takeout. You can do takeout but not dine in? 🤔🤔 We went to "Jardin de Kashmir," which we know, and at least there was no disappointment. A big THANK YOU to them for having us. We'll be looking for somewhere else in Angoulême to eat good couscous.

28/02/2026: As a customer for 10 years, I know this restaurant well… and there were no unpleasant surprises today. The reopening period is behind them, and the place has returned to its usual standard, with even some great improvements. Fresh salads, a generous hot box, and quality charcuterie. For me, the veggie burger was tasty and well-balanced. Always a pleasure to come back.

24/04/2026: Newly refurbished cash n carry that stocks Indian food at great prices. Bigger isles than previously mean better accessibility but stock is reduced.

08/03/2026: Reservation for 15 people. The first course was served in a typical Portuguese dish, but the cod was completely cold. We waited an hour. The rest of the meal arrived almost cold as well. (The rice was cold.) The first person served had almost finished eating before the last person was served. The fruit juice was 8 months past its expiration date. As a replacement, we were given juice that had expired a month prior. We hadn't even finished eating when they came to ask us how we were going to pay. They didn't know if we wanted dessert or coffee. The waitress was clearly a beginner. She didn't even know what syrup they had. And don't even get me started on the wine. There was no snack to tide us over during the aperitif. We had to ask for it (they also didn't think to ask if we wanted a starter). I could have understood if they had been overwhelmed with customers, but there were only two other people in the restaurant. So don't go there... For the price, I think you can find better.

13/02/2026: The cod was of poor quality; I only got the carcass. The fries were far too salty. Furthermore, the prices are much too high. The woman was completely lost, both with the service and when it came time to pay. We will not be returning.

30/05/2026: First experience and definitely the last!!! The rooms looked beautiful online!!! But upon arrival, well, it wasn't like that at all!!! What's more, we arrived during a heatwave and, to top it all off, there was no air conditioning!!! Driving 600 kilometers and another 300 the next day, with that dreadful night!!! Even my dog ​​was unwell!!! As for breakfast, I was sold a dream!!! 15 euros per person!!! Campanile does better for half the price!!! Admittedly, the chain works with some local suppliers, but as for the crepes, excuse me, maybe not industrially produced, but defrosted!!! And if you're curious, try the famous salted caramel butter!! Well, they certainly didn't skimp on the salt!!!! The staff isn't responsible. For me, never again!!! I like to say when things are good, but when they're bad, I also point that out.

28/07/2026: Mediocre pizzas! Disappointing. Passing through Bretenoux, we went to the vending machine since it's open three evenings a week… It could have been a good concept, and there's a market to tap into, as there are no pizzerias in the area and very few places to eat in the middle of July. By far the worst pizza we've ever had. Hard, tasteless crust, mediocre toppings for a high price considering the size of the pizza was much smaller than the standard offered almost everywhere. Far inferior to industrial chains like Domino's or Pizza Hut.

14/07/2026: I knew it before the machine came, unfortunately it was much better, and I went this evening, July 14th, and there was no Royal, which is a real shame because I only saw you and not having a human being is really a shame, and the atmosphere in front of the computer isn't great. Good evening.

01/08/2026: I'm writing this review to thank the lady who, even though the stand was closed, offered me a small coffee. Initially, I just wanted a coffee, but she told me it was already closed. I told her that was no problem, I completely understood! She wouldn't let me leave and made me an espresso, which she ended up giving me on the house. Very grateful for her kindness, I can only give 5 stars!! Thank you so much.

23/06/2026: Very tasty for €5.80 a set, so really great value. A small bottle of water was included :). Unfortunately, they were out of filled croissants around 4:00 PM. The staff was rather unfriendly, unfortunately. Seating was limited and there were long wait times. I would still come back, though. Located in a mall with many shops.

12/07/2026: A very pleasant experience after the theatre on Saturday night! We had booked for 7 people and were warmly welcomed. The service was impeccable, and the atmosphere was fantastic. I highly recommend this establishment!
