17/01/2026: The welcome was cold and unpleasant; the bartender banged the drinks against the table as he brought them, without a word or a glance. We heard him yelling at the cook, "Get the hummus out, or we'll send you back to school!" We felt like we were bothering him, and he was very bitter.

27/09/2026: Fast service, excellent pizza, and a relatively quiet place to relax after a stroll through the fairytale city.

27/09/2026: Avoid the place at any cost!!! Expensive, bad quality of drinks and food and the rudest staff I've encountered in France.

10/08/2026: Unpleasant staff, outdated answering machine, open Wednesday to Saturday, impossible to order on-site, probably too many tourists for them to be polite and respectful. I don't recommend it if you're saving your smile for the evening.

10/08/2026: We received a very warm welcome from the owner and her daughter. We ordered two salads and a medium portion of fries to eat by the sea and thoroughly enjoyed the fresh, high-quality ingredients. The owner, Estelle, is incredibly generous and readily recommended other restaurants in Cayeux. She clearly loves her town!

14/09/2026: Poor quality products (chocolate croissant, croissant, and whole wheat bread). Unpleasant staff. Very bad experience, avoid.

09/09/2026: I was very disappointed by the welcome and service. After spending €30, my two-year-old daughter wanted to eat her pain au chocolat there for a few minutes. Several tables were available, but the cashier/waitress immediately reminded me that the price for eating in was different. The welcome was cold, no smiles, no friendliness. We left with our purchases… and, more importantly, with the desire never to return. The service, however, was clearly an extra charge.

16/07/2026: I went there this morning, took my phone to think about what I was going to buy, and suddenly the saleswoman asked me if I'd decided. I politely replied that I hadn't and that I'd come back to tell her. I waited two or three minutes. Then I noticed that the saleswoman seemed annoyed and was looking at me with a condescending, almost irritated expression. The customer service needs improvement.

09/07/2026: A very good bakery offering a wide variety of breads and pastries, not to mention meal deals. Special mention goes to the cream puffs, which are excellent. It's also possible to eat in. Whether I take my breakfast to go or eat it in the bakery, I'm always greeted with a smile.

09/09/2026: A truly deplorable experience. A bitter, arrogant, and particularly unpleasant boss who speaks to his employees in a frankly shocking way and treats them as if they were his personal servants. Thank goodness the waitress was there: smiling, efficient, and professional, she managed the service almost single-handedly despite everything. And the boss smoking practically in the restaurant in front of the customers… the height of absurdity. This is clearly a far cry from the image of a welcoming and professional establishment. My heart goes out to the employees who have to put up with this every day.

05/09/2026: Disappointed by our experience with this reopening. The concept is a good idea, and you can feel the staff's good intentions. However, there's a real lack of experience in the dining room service. The layout also needs improvement: it's currently difficult to move around to get food, even with few people present. The cooking was inconsistent, and the food was frozen and of poor quality. In short, so far, the experience hasn't lived up to expectations, especially compared to what the establishment previously offered.

15/09/2026: So at 3:28 PM I went to McDonald's for a cup of ice. I was shocked; they asked me for €3.30 in 34-degree weather. I was shocked.

14/09/2026: A very bad experience at this McDonald's. I waited almost 30 minutes at the drive-thru even though there was only one car ahead of me, which is far too long. The person who greeted me at the drive-thru, Dounia, was also very unpleasant, using very informal language and a completely unprofessional attitude. I was very disappointed with the welcome and the service, and I do not recommend it.

04/09/2026: I used to go there quite often; I must have gone about fifteen times this year up until August 30th. As usual, the bouncers were unpleasant, but we didn't even care anymore. Around 2:00 or 2:30 AM, they started kicking everyone out for no real reason. We saw a young man get slapped several times by a bouncer he hadn't even touched, and then around 4:00 AM, the club owner violently choked a young man. It's not the first time we've seen this kind of thing there. Don't go if you're young and don't want to get beaten up.

24/08/2026: Good atmosphere but the security guard was violent for no reason. Be careful.

01/08/2026: The hotel is basically a 1 night stay location. It felt unclean and towels in our room looked liked they hadn't been laundered. Food in restaurant for dinner was appalling as badly cooked and tasteless. Breakfast was of the same very low standard.

13/07/2026: Horrendous experience. We stayed for five nights, and our room was not cleaned even once, despite leaving the housekeeping sign out every day. The service was extremely poor, and the staff didn't seem to care. The hotel is old, dirty, and poorly maintained. Definitely not what we expected, and I wouldn't recommend staying here.

21/05/2026: The pizza was really poor quality. One wonders what's actually going on in this place...

20/05/2026: Absolutely awful pizza. The dough was like bread dough; you wonder if it's even pizza. Terrible service, the worst pizzeria I've ever been to.

01/09/2026: After the visiting the Palace and before getting the train back to Paris we stopped here for a late lunch. Food and service was first class. We had Fish and Chips, Duck, & steak dishes. Cheese plate and an appetizer and crème brûlée and BaBa Bhum desserts. Of course we had wine too.

02/08/2026: The security service is atrocious, appalling, and aggressive, as if you were going into battle. Frankly, the entry selection process is completely arbitrary, and the explanations are incoherent. You're made to wait only to be refused entry without any valid reason, while others enter without any problem. A total lack of respect and organization. Avoid at all costs.

23/09/2026: The pizza was tasteless, empty, and lacking in flavor. Despite ordering the tomato and anchovy pizza, there was no generous topping! It was also half an hour late! No discount or offer on a future order! I'm very disappointed!

05/09/2026: I ordered pizzas for 8:15 PM, the delivery driver arrived at 7:20 PM... On the phone, the person apologized, saying that new pizzas would be made for 8:15 PM, which was false. The driver brought us the 7:20 PM pizzas, barely lukewarm... I am very disappointed, but a commitment is a commitment, even for pizzas, especially since we are not at fault. You have lost a good customer.

04/10/2026: Shop opposite the cathedral, avoid at all costs! The products are poor or mediocre at best, and the prices are exorbitant. Customer service is nonexistent. The owner (?) is incredibly rude. Apparently, she thinks it's perfectly normal to charge the exorbitant price of €9 for an empty pastry box! Having basic customer service is the bare minimum (I'm talking about a simple hello, thank you, and goodbye...). I made this point to the owner herself.

18/09/2026: Delicious classic French dishes; all that's missing is outdoor seating. The wonderful taste lingers in the mouth for a long time. Thank you.

29/06/2026: Arrived at noon, zero sandwiches! It's lunchtime, how are we supposed to eat? Unpleasant music, no peace and quiet to eat in, stale bread from the day before, the worst Marie Blachère I know. Slices of ham thrown in haphazardly, it's like they don't want to work. I politely asked them to make me a ham and butter sandwich, nothing complicated, just 2 minutes wasted for a happy customer, except no, I think 2 minutes is too much, they refused my request. I went at the beginning of September, same problem. I went back today, still no change in organization and the sandwiches are still out of stock at noon, forced to take a small sandwich. In short, never again Marie Blachère!

23/06/2026: The service could be improved, as it was not considered satisfactory. The sandwich did not meet expectations, having an excessive amount of bread and lacking flavor. The advertised menu price was €4.95 including a drink. However, the bill came to €8.25 for a bland sandwich and a small bottle of water.

12/12/2025: Just passing through... Very warm welcome, quick order... nice little dining room, quite crowded inside due to the cold. A bit noisy... quick service, I had a Savoyard burger with samurai sauce... well-presented and very good
