16/09/2026: What can I say… quality products, a warm welcome with a commitment to providing the best service every time, a welcoming atmosphere. In short, I highly recommend it!

11/09/2026: I was very disappointed by this experience. I ordered a pizza by phone and arrived less than three minutes later to pick it up. However, the pizza was already prepared… and, more importantly, cold. I simply asked why it was cold, and I was told, in a mocking tone, that "the boxes were next to the refrigerator." I find this response completely unacceptable and disrespectful to a customer. I used to be a loyal customer of this pizzeria, but after this experience and the lack of consideration, I will not be returning. It's a shame to lose a regular customer over such an easily avoidable situation.

06/09/2026: Superb. Go here when you are in Alsace. Food: We ordered the vegetable tasting menu, which was, it appeared, the restaurant’s pearl / preferred offering. For good reasons. Each dish was creative but still refined. Flavors were familiar but elevated. For each of the ~8–10 courses, we received beautiful, composed plates. Nothing felt like it was trying to be a “meat substitute,” which we have found sometimes happens with veggie menus at other restaurants. There was no mushroom “steak,” for example. Rather, things were far more thoughtful. The tomato was at the center of our menu (made sense seasonally). As a highlight, one dish (“The umami flavour of tomatoes”) started with the server handing us a single raw cherry tomato from the restaurant’s own garden. That cherry tomato was so simple and perfect; followed by a beautiful sweet tomato crème caramel dish that was so playful and unique, rich and decadent. Our favorite plate of the evening was another tomato (“Tomato & sun vegetables”), this time dehydrated, then-rehydrated and stuffed with seasonal veggies, swimming in a deep, umami jus. Really special. More detailed descriptions in the photos. The amount of food was just right. We left more than satisfied / full but not sickeningly so, given the somewhat lighter preparations of many dishes. Though, one would not call the meal “light,” especially later courses, which often came dressed with weightier vegetable reductions. Decidedly not meat- or cream-based accompaniments, but not thin veggie water either. The bread, which came with a vegetal and pleasant fig leaf compound butter, was a nice companion for any excess sauce. We felt it was a surprisingly great value for the meal (again, not always the case for veggie menus). Service: The service team was excellent. Professional and tidy, without sacrificing warmth. Not stiff or stuffy. They seemed proud—and almost excited—about the products on each plate they placed. Two people primarily served us—a younger man and a younger blonde woman. Both were so inviting, helpful, knowledgeable, kind, etc. They presented a high level of service (in both English and French) without pretension. The chef also visiting each table to chat. The pacing of the meal was also notably strong. Anne, the sommelier, has been recognized internationally. Appropriately so. The pairings were creative, not boring or safe, the latter of which, again, is something we have experienced with veggie tastings elsewhere. She clearly has not only such a deep knowledge but also an appreciation and love for the local terroir. That showed in the choices and the massive list she curated. Atmosphere: Definitely unique. The red walls combined with the centuries-old woodwork transports you to something. Not sure what exactly. But I did not feel like I was in a sleepy French village in 2026. Much like the cuisine, the atmosphere was creative, playful, unique, and curious but also curated, elegant, beautiful, and special. Just enough outside the ordinary to raise an eyebrow. But, like the food, as soon as you take a bite, the questions stop and it all seems to work. Kind of magical. This restaurant is absolutely wonderful and worthy of all praise and then some. They are doing something different at La Table du Gourmet, and it is working. They showcase great local products in a creative way and a warm but refined setting, providing diners a sense of place and suspending the outside world for a few hours. Please just go.

06/10/2026: A very pretty setting, a pleasant terrace for a drink (even before the restaurant opens), with a high-quality Ruinart champagne. The service was pleasant enough but rather casual. A real plus was the open kitchen and the pleasure of watching the chefs work meticulously (and without shouting at each other – that's fantastic!). We had a lovely romantic evening because the food was delicious. A great option before or after a visit to the casino. (Special mention to the receptionists at the casino entrance – friendly, super smiley, and full of humor – who kindly directed us to the Comptoir bar, which was much quieter than the sports bar).

04/07/2026: Chez Mamane has moved to Rue de l'Espérance! The current name is L'Espérance. I highly recommend it! Great atmosphere! Best couscous on the South Shore!!!!

The quote they provided perfectly matched my expectations and what I had envisioned for the event. Everything was very well organized, and the team was attentive and readily available. On the day, everything came together for a wonderful time: a magnificent setting, delicious food and drinks, and a perfect atmosphere. My guests were all thrilled, and I received a great deal of positive feedback from them. A huge thank you to the entire team at Le Chai for helping to make this PhD celebration such a success. I highly recommend them for organizing any event!

25/08/2026: We visited on a weekday evening in August. We had a very pleasant time at this crêperie, which was quiet and had easy (free) parking. The service was impeccable and exceptionally friendly. The crêpes and galettes were generously filled and absolutely delicious – true culinary expertise! This place is definitely worth a visit. 25/09/2026: Incredible! This is my first time here. I've never seen such a charming, old-fashioned, artisanal biscuit shop. The pastry chef is very kind, and the consistency of his biscuits is exceptional; you can tell they're made with passion. And the taste... I'm sure it's going to be amazing! I'm so happy to have discovered this biscuit shop.

21/09/2026: One balmy summer evening on the banks of the Isère River, I had the good fortune—nay, the honor—of tasting chocolate fondant cakes made by the chefs of the Crapaudine restaurant. It was undoubtedly this extraordinary culinary experience that made the day unforgettable! Certainly not a traumatic story involving a double fracture and fratricide.

23/10/2026: Made reservations for a Friday at the recommendation of a local. It was a cold night and there is limited indoor seating so we were happy we had a reservation as it was full. The service was great. The food was absolutely amazing and the inside was cozy. We are visiting from the US and this was one of our favorite dinners of our trip. Everything was phenomenal. Hard to pick a favorite between the beef and frites, lamb shank, and the stuffed veggies. The thin-sliced frites were incredible. The steak was perfectly cooked. The lamb melted off the bone. The menu changes daily but it feels like you can’t go wrong with your choice - they are talented chefs! It was a memorable dinner and the perfect way to end our trip.
