20/10/2026: We were pleasantly surprised; the food was excellent and the service was quick. The only downside might be the slightly high price. We'll be back!

13/10/2026: I ate at Le Libenais tonight and had to pay €66.80, but I don't know for what. The food is far below the average in both quality and quantity of what you can expect for "2 x 8 mezze plat" (the waitress's recommendation) including a bottle of Chardonnay. The bottle of wine was certainly not the best to be found in Caen, and the meal consisted of two small bowls of hummus, a bowl of salad, a bowl of grilled vegetables, a bowl of rice with two mini meatballs, a bowl of something resembling köfte, a bowl of four chicken wings, and a bowl of spinach in puff pastry twice, but everything in tiny quantities. So, dear readers, think twice before going to Le Libenais.

05/09/2026: Visited as part of a themed tour with two narrators: a very clear guide and a talented early music musician and singer. The abbey church is a gem and the exhibition rooms are very pleasant (an interesting exhibition on the flood, referencing the fresco of Noah's Ark).

11/10/2026: Excellent service, very accommodating. The terrace is quiet and fresh when it’s hot. Pizza’s are with fresh ingrediants and crispy bunn. One of the best pizzerias around.

It was a real pleasure, from the peaceful setting and the quick, efficient, and friendly service to the delicious and flavorful food. Located near the old town, I highly recommend it if you're looking for an authentic experience.

The presentation box alone was impressive, and everything else was truly exceptional: the taste, the selection... and even the little note on the box. Thank you so much! I thoroughly enjoyed it.

20/09/2026: We had a very pleasant two-day stay at this campsite thanks to the warm welcome and helpful advice from the owners for hiking. The pitches are well-defined and spacious, and the heated sanitary facilities are very clean. We also thoroughly enjoyed our meal at the campsite restaurant (Aubrac beef burger with Roquefort sauce).

31/07/2026: A canteen in one of the oldest fish markets in Paris. Sumptuous decor, inventive cuisine, excellent cocktails, very friendly service... it's easy to see why reservations are recommended.
