You can watch the chef passionately working with fresh, local ingredients. The service is very quick and genuinely friendly. The restaurant is small, so reservations are highly recommended. Lovers of good food and a convivial atmosphere will definitely find something to enjoy here. I particularly loved the mille-feuille, which was excellent. Thank you to the chef for this exceptional culinary experience, and thank you to the waitresses for this friendly and welcoming moment. I highly recommend it.

The perfect recipe for a truly delightful experience 😋 👉 I absolutely loved the counter, which I highly recommend: being right up close to the kitchen, watching the team at work, chatting with the chefs… it’s a truly memorable experience 🍳✨ And what an atmosphere! Contrary to the stereotype of high-pressure kitchens, here everything is done calmly, cheerfully, and with a smile 😊 You can feel the close-knit, passionate team, and it shows in the food as well as the overall atmosphere. 01/04/2026: The food and atmosphere are lovely! But the owner is a scoundrel! After paying €7 for a slice of cake I really do expect to be given a box for the leftovers. Especially as the restaurant is supposed to be promoting zero waste. After asking for a box, I was given an open/half-box; after asking for another one so I could close it, I was given a NAPKIN; after asking AGAIN, I was told that the box is an EXPENSE and that they can’t just give it away like that! So I was suggested to wrap it in cling film, which unfortunately blew away in the wind. To hear from a restaurant that giving a customer a standard takeaway box is an EXPENSE is really shabby and very unprofessional.

24/04/2026: A paradise for those who love wood-fired meat! The appetizers were excellent, as were the desserts. We had ordered rare meat, and one of the dishes was overcooked, but they replaced it. However, the size of the potato served as a side dish is unacceptable, especially since it's the only side dish! The service is efficient but not particularly friendly. There are a lot of tables in a small space, so it's very noisy. It's expensive, clearly, but the food is good and very generous (except for the side dishes, of course).

The service is professional, attentive, and friendly, always ready to offer advice without ever being pushy. You can feel the passion of the team, proud of their expertise and culinary identity. La Chaumière is not just a restaurant: it's a Nice institution, a place where people come for the quality, the tradition, the warmth, and the rustic ambiance that makes the experience so charming. 04/12/2025: I ate lunch here regularly over the past month. I really enjoyed the set menus, as they were varied and high quality. The atmosphere and service were also very pleasant. It was a very enjoyable meal here.

01/12/2025: If you want a unique experience during your visit to Bordeaux, I recommend stopping by this little restaurant. For me, it was like stepping back into the 1960s. It was absolutely charming. Very vintage, as they say these days. And for me, it was an oasis where you can enjoy everything from a coffee to a delicious meal.

I really enjoyed my room, Olivier, right at the top of the stairs, and it was very quiet. Even with the window open at night, there was no disturbance. The breakfast was fantastic and had so many options. A great stay all around. This hotel is truly charming. It's located right across from Juno Beach, making it easy to get around town on foot. Parking was convenient, and the staff was very welcoming. I really enjoyed my room, Olivier, at the very top of the stairs, and it was very quiet. Even with the window open at night, I wasn't disturbed. The breakfast was excellent and offered an impressive selection. A perfect stay in every way.
