22/08/2026: Run away! Assembly-style food: the "salad of the day" consisted of bagged curly endive, the steak was overcooked, the burger bun was pre-packaged, etc. And the children's menu was unacceptable: the pasta from the kids' menu was dried out and stuck together, probably leftovers from two days prior, reheated a dozen times already, and to top it off, it arrived cold twice in a row despite our request. A paltry gesture of goodwill compared to the unacceptable service. As for the ham, buy the cheapest, fattened, and sweaty processed ham from your supermarket and it will be better than this. Even our children, who love deli meats, couldn't eat it. The only positive point: friendly and smiling staff, unfortunately unable to redeem the mediocrity of the food.

22/08/2026: The owner, Franck, is lovely and attentive! His cooking is delicious, using high-quality ingredients (including an incredible homemade fig jam made with fruit from his garden). Excellent value for money (the dessert of the day is included with the main course). Highly recommended!

20/08/2026: Arriving just before closing time, we were served with kindness and efficiency. When I entered this place, I was struck by its authenticity. The food was simply perfect. I was pleasantly surprised to find such a restaurant in such a touristy area.

14/08/2026: Recently changed ownership, and the results are: higher prices, bland food, mediocre service, and questionable cleanliness (numerous cobwebs on the picture frames). Overall, I'm disappointed, I don't recommend it, and I certainly won't be returning.

04/08/2026: August 2, 2026, What a wonderful moment! We chose the Auberge du Vieux Château to celebrate my husband's 70th birthday with family. There were 13 of us, and I couldn't have dreamed of a better place to celebrate this event. The restaurant, completely renovated, is simply magnificent. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed and seated in a lovely, quiet room, perfect for sharing this moment in complete privacy. We were immediately taken care of for aperitifs by attentive, smiling, and always available staff. Throughout the meal, the service was impeccable. As for the food… a true delight! The appetizers, main courses, and desserts were as beautiful as they were delicious. Generous portions, quality ingredients, and flavors that everyone loved. Everything was succulent! Seeing my whole family happy and delighted with this meal was the greatest gift. I am absolutely delighted to have chosen this restaurant, and I sincerely believe it would be hard to find better. A huge thank you to the entire team for their professionalism, kindness, and contribution to the success of this very important day for us. We will return with great pleasure and recommend this wonderful place without hesitation!

03/09/2026: A very nice and unique place. However, the selection is limited for those who don't eat pork. Alain, our waiter, was simply incredible: attentive, welcoming, funny, and multilingual (lol)! Give him a raise, he deserves it!

10/09/2026: We went there for lunch based on Google reviews. We knew we were running late, especially when we arrived and saw that the only other table was occupied, and they were just finishing up. In that part of Europe, 2:00 PM is very late for lunch in most places, and even though we had a reservation for that time (the booking app allowed it), we arrived a little earlier. We had taken a city tour, and the guide recommended arriving early, so we rushed to get there before our reservation time. If tours end around 1:30 PM, it's impossible to get there earlier for lunch. Even so, and despite being the only ones left, the service was excellent. The person who served us showed us pictures of dishes we didn't recognize. We made good choices thanks to their help. The food was plentiful and delicious. They were also kind enough to ask if we wanted dessert before closing the kitchen. Small place. Recommended for lunch, reservations are best. It's a shame we couldn't arrive earlier to enjoy the delicious food more leisurely. The pork knuckle is the best!
