19/04/2026: At the end of April, the atmosphere was absolutely fantastic. The dishes were beautiful and delicious; if you're in the area, this is a great place to eat, especially in the evening to enjoy the terrace and the ambiance with its soft lighting. The prices are quite reasonable, with several set menus at different price points and excellent service. The village itself is also worth a visit for a leisurely stroll after your meal.

17/04/2026: Small menu which I liked, however food was a little disappointing as we had heard such wonderful things ahead of our visit. We came twice. Staff were lovely every time.

08/05/2026: While passing through St. Junien, we tried this restaurant. The cuisine features simple, local ingredients, perfectly showcased. We highly recommend it. The welcome was warm. Thank you for this experience.

30/05/2026: The food was decent but expensive for what it was. Desserts were offered without prices, which led to an unpleasant surprise. Sodas were priced like Paris's.

02/06/2026: Our experience at La Popote des 2 Potes (Wonderbox) was very pleasant. We started with an original and well-prepared aperitif. This was followed by a lovely starter to share. We were with a 3-year-old, and everything was done to keep him entertained, with little extras offered. For our main courses, we ordered the ribeye and the dry-aged beef, and what can I say... delicious! The cooking! The sauce! The flavor! The incredibly tender meat! To those who commented that the meat had sinew, I think it was their own raw nerves that had transferred to their cuts of meat. The little one's meat was also succulent and a very generous portion for such a child. The dessert: an excellent Irish coffee, with the option to adapt it for those who don't like whiskey, and very tasty petit fours. The little one's chocolate mousse was very generous. As for the service, the friendliness, professionalism, and responsiveness make this establishment a place we will definitely return to. Even though we booked through a gift box, we were received and served perfectly. They offered us a complimentary rum digestif, which was so delicious that we bought a bottle of white chocolate to try! 😊 I therefore recommend this establishment without hesitation and sincerely believe that the negative reviews are unfounded or simply published with the ultimate goal of getting a price reduction! 16/05/2026: A regular customer for just over two years, this crêperie is without a doubt the best in Brittany (no, I'm not exaggerating... we try them all over and so far, none have been equaled!). 100% homemade with quality local products, the flavors are incredible, both in the buckwheat galettes and the wheat crêpes. Excellent value for money, in addition to the friendliness of the owners and the very cozy atmosphere of the place itself.

29/06/2026: We had a wonderful lunch today, greeted by a smiling and very friendly waitress. We felt very welcome, even with our dog 🤗. The mussels in cider and cream sauce were a fantastic discovery. We highly recommend it!

25/06/2026: The restaurant is highly recommended. It is just around the corner from the busy city center and is an oasis of calm. We had a pleasant lunch there. Small menu, but what makes it a real treat is that everything is made fresh. Very friendly, attentive service with a smile. Stop by, do it.

11/06/2026: Wow. What a wonderful dinner we just experienced at this little restaurant. Reservations are a must as even on a Thursday night the restaurant was full and many were turned away. The menu is entirely on a chalk board and changes daily and tonight through the dinner as dishes sold out. I had the most delightful and delicious pork filet minion in a gorgonzola sauce which was likely the best meal I've had in my 3 weeks in France. There is plenty of parking in the town but don't expect to snag a spot in front of the restaurant, which allows you to take a short walk to settle your meal afterwards. Bravo to the chef and staff.

18/05/2026: We had lunch on Saturday at noon, as we were in the area for an event and had chosen this restaurant based on reviews. We were quite disappointed… Tomato coulis with two small balls of mozzarella… very expensive and the mozzarella was bland. The andouillette sausage was hard to digest. The setting was pleasant, but the service was a bit slow. A shame.

18/05/2026: Always a pleasure to visit one of the Shelters. Impeccable service and good food. A minor complaint about the "Snickers" dessert; the two people who ordered it didn't like it.

07/07/2026: We had a lovely evening, but the service, while very friendly, wasn't quite up to par. Our appetizers arrived far too late (our drinks had already been finished), and we thought our bottle of wine hadn't arrived at all! Nothing too serious, but it did disrupt the flow of the meal. The decor was beautiful, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting.

06/07/2026: A very nice open-air café on Île du Ramier. The waitress was fantastic, lovely, and attentive to the customers, which we appreciated. However, the prices are really high. Yes, I was replying, "il enquête ry anair." It's written in very small print in English, so...

09/06/2026: I highly recommend this crêperie. The service is quick and the touch of humor is just right for a pleasant experience. The galette was very generously filled, and the crêpe for dessert was equally delicious. Come and try this really nice place in Marmande.
