17/08/2026: We came to Verdun on a Monday for a visit and were lucky enough to find this restaurant open in the evening. An extraordinary restaurant: excellent homemade cuisine. Not to mention the very gracious owner and waitress. Thank you for a very pleasant experience. We will definitely be back. I highly recommend it.

07/08/2026: Congratulations to the staff for the quality of service. Congratulations to the kitchen team; the dishes are delicious, the presentation is elegant and appetizing, and the food is flavorful. It's a shame that the same courtesy wasn't shown when paying. When you have the privilege of working with such high-quality professionals, you should at least be smiling. Everyone's personal problems should be left at the door when you're working.

16/05/2026: The vegetarian options are amazing. Sonia, the owner is vegetarian herself and each dish had love and great flavors that understand the need of protein and more than dry lettuce. Service was great, portions are very generous and the ambiance is beautiful. Merci La table de Sonia!

08/09/2026: We come to Corsica every year. Every year it gets worse. We used to go to this restaurant several times during our stays, but this year in two weeks, it was reduced to just one visit. Caesar salad with cold chicken (the waiter told me that's how we make it here... Yes, but in that case, don't put "crispy chicken" on the menu because when you serve it cold, it won't be crispy). Classic vinaigrette without anchovies. Croutons with a slightly rancid taste. Carpaccio swimming in a puddle of liquid at the bottom of the plates. Filthy toilets. Okay, you have a lot of customers, but please... clean the toilets from time to time during service, with the number of people you have. Broken tap, sink full of dirty water, probably because it was slightly clogged. The ice cream is very good; in fact, it's our mandatory stop after meals at your competitors' places.

05/09/2026: It was really very good, not much of a wait, or even none at all. I really liked the atmosphere the waitresses and waiters had with us; they were very friendly and pleasant, they immediately put us at ease. We loved it, and we can't wait to come back! 😊

22/08/2026: Pure poultry Houdan pâté, as it should be. Pan-fried chicken supreme with wild mushrooms, crème fraîche, and fresh pasta. Finally, the apotheosis: chicken leg in a pot with truffle jus, supreme sauce, and "pebbly" rice. It was Charles Aznavour's favorite dish when he came. Pure artistry. Tradition has its merits. The wine list has seen better days, but that's the lot of these establishments around the edge of the Île-de-France region, a little too far from major cities. A favorite spot for Joël Robuchon's family gatherings, this Michelin-starred restaurant for 25 years also served its famous lobster salad to Catherine Deneuve, whose château was nearby. Didier Barbelivien, who lives in Montfort-l'Amaury, is also a regular at this deeply rooted establishment. Now, for the important stuff: the great Orson Welles was a close friend of the family and loved to eat here. When he passed away, his last partner, Oda Kodar, decreed that his sculptures would remain in the gardens of La Poularde. Touching. We are not in the middle of nowhere here, far from it!

We were able to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary surrounded by family and friends, all dressed up in "Château Life" costumes. The entire team at Moulin de Saint Yves was very attentive to our vision. We have wonderful memories of it. Thank you again.

19/08/2026: I doubted an app could accurately choose a restaurant. This app calculates calories by scanning a photo of my plate. The burger was high in protein and met my calorie needs. The fries were good and the portion was a normal size. The interface is simple.

26/08/2026: The menu wasn't up-to-date, and the prices were about €2 more than advertised online. The portions were average compared to what we paid. We won't be going back. The best part of our order was definitely the beer.

16/08/2026: We had the shrimp wonton noodle soup and shrimp wonton fried noodles. Both were very delicious. Only the soup has quite a lot glutamate that we becane very thirsty afterwards. Not possible to have without glutamate.

27/05/2026: What a wonderful discovery! This charming hotel is located just a stone's throw from Châteauneuf-du-Pape. The welcome was perfect; the owners, Camille and Silvio, are very charming and welcoming. The staff is incredibly attentive and caring. You truly feel welcome! The rooms are rather small and simple, but very pleasant and offer just the right level of comfort. One of our rooms had recently been tastefully redecorated with quality materials. The beds were very comfortable. The garden and terrace are truly magnificent, with a lovely swimming pool and tasteful outdoor decor. Breakfast is generous and very enjoyable on the terrace when the weather permits, and the interior space is also charming. We dined there twice and loved the quality of the food. In short, a place to remember.

20/08/2026: I'd been wanting to try Alphonsine for a long time and had a confirmed reservation. The day before, I even received a text message reminding me of my reservation. Today, we drove all the way across Paris only to find the restaurant closed for vacation. It's incredibly frustrating and unacceptable! So, unfortunately, I can only give it one star, without even having eaten there!

17/07/2026: We came for lunch on a Friday, just the two of us, after booking through TheFork with the 50% discount offer. The app clearly stated that the discount applied to à la carte dishes, excluding set menus and drinks. However, upon arrival, the waitress explained that the offer only applied to two set menus, priced at €38 and €44, presented on a separate sheet from the regular menu, with a very limited selection consisting mainly of the least expensive dishes. When we pointed out that this seemed to contradict the terms displayed on TheFork, she replied that the restaurant had chosen to operate this way, regardless of what was indicated on the app. This discrepancy between the advertised offer and the actual terms was therefore very disappointing. I would, however, like to highlight the kindness of the second, younger waiter, who was very pleasant, understanding, and professional. Finally, I was surprised by the discrepancy between the large number of very positive reviews and the fact that the restaurant was almost empty when we arrived at 12:30 pm. I also noticed that many comments used very similar wording and keywords, including "kid-friendly" and certain dish names that appeared repeatedly. This personally made me question the authenticity of some of the reviews. I also encourage you to watch the video on YouTube by Le Parisien on this topic, which clearly explains how these kinds of practices can work.
