01/08/2026: The flavors of the tagines are exceptional, the portions very generous, and the service incredibly warm. I love this restaurant and recommend it 100%. I especially loved the eggplant tagines and the pastillas! They also offer incredibly high-quality prepared dishes for takeout.

08/08/2026: A wonderful discovery at the End of the World. A warm welcome, passionate advice, and a very pleasant tasting. We discovered, in particular, a Montagny 1er Cru, a Bourgogne Aligoté, and a Mercurey, with clear explanations of the appellations and the differences in style. An authentic place, ideal for discovering Burgundy wines in a simple and welcoming atmosphere.

24/08/2026: A true institution in Saint-Pons-de-Thomières! I wholeheartedly recommend the Le Somail bar-hotel-restaurant. A must-visit for anyone who loves authentic home cooking: dishes prepared with fresh, local ingredients, flavorful and generous portions. A real gem, especially during the Chestnut Festival in October, a convivial event not to be missed. I also stayed several nights at the hotel: impeccable and very clean rooms, all the comforts needed for a pleasant stay. As for the bar, the atmosphere is excellent, warm, and friendly—a real pleasure every time I visit. A big thank you to Anto, the owner, and his entire team, always smiling and welcoming: Coco, Laurent, Cédric, Cetine, and Anto's mother. A special mention also goes to our friend Robert, aka (Bimbo). Le Somail is much more than just a place; it's a local institution. I highly recommend it without hesitation!

27/08/2026: Albion is undoubtedly the most English-speaking pub in Bourgoin. If you want to have a few beers with friends, watch a rugby or football match, or enjoy a Guinness or an Irish Kilkenny ☘️ (for tourists), it's the perfect place. However, it's much less ideal for a family meal. You order via a QR code, pay upfront, and are even asked for a tip before being served. It's more like a McDonald's with table service than a true pub-restaurant. The flank steak, ordered rare, arrived cold. The burgers were decent, but still very much in the fast-food vein. It's up to you to decide if the concept appeals to you or not.

14/09/2026: A lovely establishment, well located and facing the water, we ate well… However, the waiter who offered us “a bottle of water” or “a salad with our galette” but didn’t mention that the small bowl cost €3.50 for three sheets of galette and a small sauce is, in my opinion, more than a little rip-off for tourists who are there for a weekend. An extra €7 on the bill is not insignificant!

14/09/2026: A moment of tranquility. Very pleasant service from a friendly young waiter. A small crêperie by the sea with a diverse and delicious selection of crêpes. Highly recommended.

03/09/2026: I had breakfast there yesterday. The person who greeted me was friendly. I had a slice of pistachio and raspberry cake—delicious! Moist and flavorful! And a slice of carrot cake that was amazing!! I usually find carrot cake heavy, but this was very light and incredibly tasty. The place is clean and pleasant.
