27/04/2026: A lunch far below the price. The burger of the day was just a patty in a bun. A salad with insufficient dressing. A risotto that was far too greasy; it took all day to digest. Pieces of meat as tough as rocks. Supposedly creamy rice, but mostly overcooked—just mush. Slow service, undoubtedly due to a kitchen that can't keep up. Indeed, these are harsh comments, but this is the true negative experience we had. We knew and greatly appreciated the previous owners; we will not be returning with the new ones.

08/05/2026: Had a fantastic experience at TRATTORIA DI MARIO in Gouzeaucourt! The food was absolutely delicious, with generous portions and authentic Italian-inspired flavors. The pizzas were perfectly cooked with a crispy crust and fresh toppings, and the other dishes were equally tasty and satisfying. The atmosphere is warm, friendly, and welcoming, making it a great place for both family meals and casual dining with friends. The staff were very kind, attentive, and provided quick and efficient service even when busy. Great value for money, a clean and comfortable setting, and consistently good food make this a place I would happily return to. Highly recommended for anyone in the area looking for a hearty and enjoyable meal!

14/04/2026: I want to apologize for yesterday. I was the one singing on the terrace, and I apologize if the songs were disturbing. The bartenders weren't responsible and asked us several times to stop, which we didn't. They did their job very well; it's simply that we didn't respect their requests.

13/04/2026: I just left that bar and I'll never be seen there again, even though I'm a regular. On the terrace, a group of 8 to 10 people started chanting homophobic songs, eventually singing "Marc Dutrou is innocent, the liars are the children," and "the children under the terrace and the woman under the terrace," referring to Xavier Dupont de Ligonnès. A waiter from the bar was singing with them. We reported this to the other waiters, but they weren't bothered and didn't ask them to leave.

11/04/2026: I was there with the friend who posted the previous review on Saturday, March 21st, and I unfortunately confirm this deplorable experience. Beyond the cleanliness of the table, it was the waiter's behavior that was particularly shocking: we were greeted with unjustified verbal aggression, and this in front of a 4-year-old child. Such a lack of professionalism and courtesy is unacceptable in the restaurant industry. It's regrettable to see that the establishment seems to neglect its local clientele. My in-laws had already been treated very poorly in the past and ended up avoiding the place. It's a shame, because a business can't rely solely on tourist traffic to maintain its reputation. We won't be returning.

06/05/2026: At first glance, given the restaurant's location and the crowds it attracts, you might think it's a tourist trap. And yet... this is our third time here and we've never been disappointed. Unbeatable value for money; the dishes are not only delicious but also generous. The decor is a typical yet modern take on an Alsatian winstub, making you want to share a good time with friends. As for the service, I must commend the friendliness and professionalism of the team, which make a visit to Schwendi a very pleasant experience. We'll be back!

25/11/2025: Discovered this restaurant by chance while out for a walk. The chocolate fondant is incredibly good!! The staff are pleasant, attentive, and smiling; a very enjoyable experience. I highly recommend it.

I wanted to book for lunch, but first I wanted to ask a question about the meal, and the nice lady treated me like I was some kind of salesperson, so she ended the conversation before I could explain (I'm not French, so maybe it was my accent...). Too bad. Next time I'll ask my French husband to make the reservation.
