12/07/2026: A delicious Italian meal at this restaurant, and a big thank you to the team who went out of their way to accommodate our group, including a member in an electric wheelchair. The restaurant has a ramp, so it's accessible, but the restrooms are on level -1 after a spiral staircase and therefore not accessible from that side. The gluten-free pasta with gorgonzola was absolutely excellent!

05/09/2026: If it were possible, I'd add a sixth star. Antonino truly exceeded all expectations. As an Italian, I've tasted many pizzas in my life, but the ones at LA CALABRESE are truly exceptional. Even in Italy, it's hard to find a product of this quality. The service also deserves a special mention. The woman who looked after us was truly courteous, smiling, and kind—a wonderful person. What can I say? If you're passing through Montreal, don't hesitate, stop by and try La Vera Italia in Tavola. Well done, Antonino and all the staff—you fully deserve it.

The welcome is warm and friendly, the galettes are excellent—organic, locally sourced, and incredibly generously filled—and the crêpes for dessert are amazing. I made it my go-to spot for dinner during my four days in Grandcamp. They also accept holiday vouchers. A big thank you! 😀

30/08/2026: Overall, we had a good time, but we left with mixed feelings. The restaurant is very small but cozy, with a lovely Italian ambiance and a beautiful Fiat parked out front that immediately sets the Italian tone. The staff are incredibly kind and attentive, and the owner is an excellent salesman! The appetizers had particularly whetted our appetites: excellent burrata, delicious bread, and a truly wonderful pinsa. It was probably the best part of the meal. However, we were less convinced by the pasta. It was good, made with 100% Italian ingredients and a 100% Italian recipe. It had been presented to us as the chef's specialty, so naturally, we had high expectations. In the end, even though it was tasty, it didn't quite deliver the "wow" factor we were hoping for. It's a dish that could easily be recreated at home with good Italian ingredients. After such successful appetizers, it was rather disappointing. For six people, the bill came to around €300 before a 20% birthday discount, bringing it down to about €240 after the discount. Even with this reduction, we felt the value for money was quite high considering what we received. In short, it wasn't bad at all: very good starters, excellent staff, a warm atmosphere, and good ingredients. But given the restaurant's reputation, prices, and especially the expectations surrounding pasta, we were expecting a more memorable experience. It was good, but not as exceptional as we had imagined.

10/08/2026: We came as a group of four to celebrate a birthday, and the welcome was warm. The "menu of the week" was a feast for both the eyes and the taste buds. A wonderful discovery! This very pleasant place has reasonable prices. We will gladly return.

31/08/2026: Excellent vegan restaurant. We were looking for a quiet place for dinner near our accommodation where we could eat something simple and healthy, and we found it. They have limited selection, only three main courses and two desserts, but the daily menu is visible from outside, so you're free to go elsewhere if you don't like it. Fast service and very good food. Bread and tap water are free. The place was empty and remained so throughout the dinner, so perhaps some background music would have been nice.
