27/08/2026: A very pleasant experience. Beautiful decor, excellent food (delicious raclette with local produce), and reasonable prices (compared to other restaurants in the resort). The manager and servers were very cheerful and friendly. I highly recommend it.

08/09/2026: An unexpected stop at 3:00 PM for lunch. Nevertheless, we were greeted with a smile and the food was perfectly executed. The cooking and seasoning were impeccable. The accompanying vegetables were perfectly braised, and the gratin was hearty and flavorful. The shredded lamb was excellent. 👍 We'll keep the address for our next trip to the capital so we can try their couscous. 😍 Well done to the whole team!

04/09/2026: €50 for two couscous dishes… at that price, I thought I was flying first class to North Africa! Unfortunately, the journey ended before the first bite: the couscous was too spicy, the cumin had no place in the broth, and there weren't enough chickpeas. Being Kabyle, I was very disappointed; it was bland and very disappointing. For a restaurant specializing in couscous, this is outrageous. The bill, however, had much more flavor than the dish!

29/07/2026: The meal was excellent. The portions were enormous. I recommend the steamed ravioli, which are really good, and also the stuffed chicken wings. One of the best restaurants in Bourgoin-Jallieu.

The meat is excellent, the portions are incredibly generous, and what can I say about the staff… the owner is absolutely fantastic, so friendly and welcoming! He puts you at ease so easily, and it shows in the kitchen staff who are always in a great atmosphere. All this to say: go without hesitation! 🤤

The prices are reasonable, the food is high quality, and everything is homemade! We were also pampered from the moment we arrived until we left. 14/07/2026: If you're in the area, stop by. We had breakfast there four days and aperitivo four nights. Everything was excellent, but what we loved most was the courtesy.

24/06/2026: Had a spectacular dining experience on our last day in Paris! The menu had a great balance between traditional French cuisine (which my French partner applauded) and other cuisine options. We had the leeks (Poireaux Vinaigrette, I believe), escargot, Thai crispy chicken salad, steak with a burgundy wine reduction/shallots/dauphine potatoes, and their special daily pie which was pear (poire torte). The wine was a selection from the wine shoppe up the hill, the glass of rose was incredibly enjoyable and I rarely enjoy wine! Lastly, our waitress was so personable and humorous. So glad we got to experience this place and have to give them praise! ✨

05/08/2026: Very disappointing! The terrace doesn't overlook the Marne River, but the parking lot. The portions were very small, several meat dishes were overcooked, some vegetable flans were cold (while others were lukewarm), and to top it all off, our table was forgotten, resulting in very slow service. We had hoped for a friendly and festive atmosphere at Le Bateau Lavoir, but we left extremely frustrated!
