23/08/2026: Chef Philippe Pouette's signature dishes. I was so happy to be there for the last evening of the season. We had reserved a large table for a family gathering. It was a doubly magical moment because we all ate at the same time—so rare, it's worth mentioning—and without having ordered in advance. High-quality traditional cuisine made with only fresh ingredients. Special mention to the array of desserts. My favorite place for two dishes 🥰

03/09/2026: Jules was a really pleasant surprise and a very convenient place to stop, especially being located right near the Metro station. The restaurant has a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere, and the staff were genuinely friendly from the beginning. Overall, it felt like a very comfortable French restaurant where you can enjoy a proper meal without anything feeling too formal or complicated. The beef tartare was especially good — fresh, well seasoned, and probably the highlight of the meal for me. I also really appreciated that our server spoke excellent English, which made everything very easy and comfortable. We finished with an Armagnac, which was also very good and a perfect way to end the meal. Overall, I was very satisfied with both the food and the service. Convenient location, friendly staff, good atmosphere, and solid French food. Definitely a place I would be happy to visit again.

03/09/2026: Unfortunately, our order was missing the large portion of fries and one order of Andalouse sauce. Since we were already on the motorway towards Spain, going back was out of the question.

04/08/2026: Arrived just after meal service, like 2:30pm. They weren’t serving anything warm anymore. Understandable if you’re used to European dining norms but disappointing nonetheless. They did have sandwiches to purchase although these were very basic and simple. The staff spoke French, English and Italian however surprisingly as it is in France, the staff seemed like they were mostly Italian. Beautiful valley to be in. Very very nice. Rough road to drive in on. Go slow and watch the potholes. Beautiful setting.

08/06/2026: Set menu. Starter: fish broth with absolutely no substance. Octopus carpaccio (10 grams max) was extremely salty, a slice of pork (no more than one) was overcooked, dessert (the pastry had an industrial texture)... natural wine €75, not even a carafe! No indication of grape variety or winery (the producer is unknown...). Second wine: Mont Louis Droit, decent, €72, I bought it for €11.50. Total: €95 per person. Please avoid this kind of restaurant for pheasants. On the other hand, the service was very pleasant.

05/09/2026: A very good restaurant, a little out of the way, but the only one that could accommodate us at the last minute. Less expensive than the competition in the town center and with a more varied menu. Excellent frog legs, impeccable and attentive service. It's a welcome change from the gastronomic monotony of most restaurants in Boulogne-sur-Mer, whose menus all look the same. I would definitely go back.
