Several years ago, I discovered Basile and his Café Cyclette quite by chance in Lyon… and I already had an amazing memory of it. Well, I just went back a few days ago, and it's simple: it's still THE best coffee in Lyon, without a doubt! The taste is just perfect, balanced, rich, truly superior to anything else you can find. But beyond the coffee, it's the service that makes all the difference: an incredibly warm welcome, genuine passion, a sincere smile… you can tell everything is done with heart, a true Lyonnais heart! It's rare to see such consistent quality after several years. Honestly, it's a pleasure, and it deserves to be recognized! If you're ever in Lyon, don't even hesitate: go for it. You won't be disappointed.

20/08/2026: The best restaurant in the world, I highly recommend it. I was in China last week and it wasn't nearly as good. I really appreciate the friendliness of the waiters. The spring rolls warm me from the inside out, and I'm thinking of having my stag do at this restaurant. But not right away, I'm only 14.

24/08/2026: Don't be fooled by appearances: the menu is minimalist, the crêperie unassuming, but the galettes and crêpes are delicious and well-prepared. The menu could use a refresh, a redesign to better showcase the chef's talents.

05/09/2026: We had a wonderful time at Hippopotamus! The atmosphere is pleasant and welcoming, the staff are friendly, attentive, and always ready to help. The service was quick and efficient, and we enjoyed a delicious meal. The dishes were tasty and generous, with a special mention for the dessert.

05/09/2026: Peppered beef. Shameful… I specifically asked the waitress if it looked like the picture on the menu, otherwise I wouldn't order it, but I get such a disaster… it's frankly unacceptable. It would be good if they made sure it at least resembled the menu so people would want to come back.

07/08/2026: The welcome was adequate, however, we didn't see the menus. The service was mediocre; we had to put the tablecloth on the table ourselves. The food wasn't homemade, and we hadn't even finished our meal before they cleared our plates. Frankly, I won't be back. I don't recommend it.
