From the very first bite, a magnificent homemade foie gras of remarkable creaminess. Each bite is a pure moment of exquisite flavors, a perfect balance of controlled intensity and delicate equilibrium. Next comes the signature dish: the famous homemade calf's head, revealing all its finesse: a melting texture, a perfectly balanced sauce, and a light, silky emulsion that transforms this traditional dish into an unexpected delight, gently awakening the palate. It's impossible to resist dessert: the famous homemade Tarte Tatin, featuring exceptionally tender caramelized apples, complemented by ice cream that elevates the entire dish. Special mention goes to the generous portions, which truly honor the diner without ever sacrificing the finesse of the execution. This is cuisine worthy of a grand restaurant, combining generosity and elegance, where each plate is an invitation to gustatory bliss. Kudos to the chef and his wife: it was a rare and memorable treat!

A superb hotel in a beautiful setting overlooking the Brèche de Roland – peaceful and serene. Secondly, congratulations to the Chef and his sous-chef; the cuisine was full of flavor and refined – a true delight for our taste buds. The breakfast was generous, and let's not forget the very pleasant waiter. We will gladly return; there is so much more to discover in this magnificent region of the Pyrenees. The prices are reasonable, the food is delicious, and the portions are generous 🍽️ For dessert, I adored the coconut blancmange 🤤 Don't hesitate to go, it's worth the trip! They even have a room for events.

18/10/2025: A true Creole gem in Marignane! I enjoyed a swordfish loin with saffron rice, sweet potato mash, and a green salad—an absolute delight; the swordfish was simply succulent. My companion opted for a plate of Creole tapas, generous and full of flavor. The service? Impeccable. Dany, the owner, takes great care of his customers, and it shows: 35 years of passion and experience in every plate and every smile. Warm atmosphere, homemade cuisine, generous portions… Le Cocotier is a place to recommend without hesitation. Thank you, Dany, for this delicious and friendly experience!

21/05/2026: We received a very warm welcome from Cyril. The rooms are spacious and inviting. The bed is very comfortable. We had an enriching evening learning about the history of the region, its unique features, and its best places to eat. The meal was homemade and served with a smile.

08/03/2026: What a delightful surprise this charming restaurant was, tucked away in a rather dreary cul-de-sac! The welcome is cheerful and warm, the decor a clever, slightly kitschy blend of seaside and mountain themes, and the lighting is perfectly balanced to allow you to admire what's arriving on your plate. The menu is extensive, inventive, and promising. This is confirmed when the dishes are served: everything is fresh, beautiful, flavorful, and served without delay. We enjoyed the langoustines and the confit lamb in a pastry crust, which we chose as starters (both generous portions), and then we savored the hake with sorrel and confit potatoes, as well as the fish quenelle with shellfish jus. The desserts are excellent, with a special mention for the caramelized apples and meringue, a reimagined version of the common floating island found elsewhere. Very reasonable prices again (76 euros for two, starter-main-dessert plus two half-pints of Leffe) when compared to what the other tourist trap restaurants in Villard dare to charge for over-prepared and soulless food. An original and welcoming place that makes you want to return very soon with friends! Thank you, Mr. Charentais. 😊

12/01/2026: What a delight this little restaurant is! Finally, something other than "mountain" fare. Everything was new to us: lamb confit with morels in a pastry crust, oysters and scallops with parsley sauce, suckling pig offal stew, Charentais-style chowder, mashed potatoes with cabbage... A true delight, and served with a smile, too! Good value for money. Highly recommended!
