The truffle pasta is the best I've ever tasted, and their desserts are to die for (tiramisu, panna cotta with red berries) – a delight. I come from the Lot region; we don't usually eat here, but even though we've been countless times, it's always just as good. A place to eat and remember.

It's true that the service is basic and doesn't meet the standards of modern restaurants, but at least you can feel the owners' genuine pleasure in welcoming guests. Excellent plate of homemade charcuterie, a quality Ardèche dish "just like Grandma used to make," tasty and generous. Highly recommended.

On our way to Brittany from the Black Forest, we make a conscious effort to stop there twice a year – and each time it feels like coming home. What always impresses us is the incredible quality of the food. Every dish is perfectly prepared, with meticulous attention to detail and a flair for flavor that is truly rare. You can immediately tell that the food is cooked with passion. The service and atmosphere are just as special. Warm, attentive, and yet pleasantly relaxed – exactly the kind of hospitality you hope for. The owner now recognizes us every time, and this small, personal gesture means so much to us. It's this feeling of loyalty and appreciation that makes Porto Rio so unique for us. Every visit is a highlight of our trip and definitely ranks among the most wonderful culinary experiences we've ever had. We wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant – for us, it's undoubtedly one of the best we know.

04/03/2026: I rarely leave reviews, but I was very disappointed with this restaurant. When I booked a table by phone, I asked if they served fresh pasta. They confirmed they did, and I asked because I'd been burned before, so I made the reservation. That same evening, we were told they didn't have any pasta... this is the second time this has happened, and we came specifically for pasta. If pasta is no longer on the menu, they should clearly state this and not lie to customers.

23/05/2026: We went to this restaurant and received a very warm welcome. The food was excellent and the presentation of the dishes was beautiful. They gave us good advice on drinks. The setting is very pleasant and the service was impeccable. We highly recommend it.

27/05/2026: Their Sweet Crêpe are delicious to die for, and their savory crêpes are made buckwheat. And it’s just as delicious. Their matcha latte is just okay, probably wouldn’t get their hot drinks per say again but their crepes, i would come back again. Very tourist friendly as in they all speak English which worked out. There is indoor and outdoor seating.

26/05/2026: Beautifully made galettes. Portions are very generous so perhaps 2 not-so-hungry people could share one (that was our mistake). Staff were friendly and service was prompt and helpful.

12/04/2026: Two friends introduced us to this restaurant on Saturday evening, and we have to admit we haven't been so pleasantly surprised in a long time! Lately, restaurants have often been overpriced with drastically reduced portions, or with sometimes complicated service. Here, for four people, a three-course meal (starter, main, dessert) with aperitifs, a bottle of wine, and a digestif/hot drink at the end cost €40 per person, with generous portions, quality ingredients, and a friendly atmosphere. It's a good thing it's not near our home, otherwise we'd be there all the time! We'll definitely be back with friends.
