01/07/2026: What an absolute gem. We stumbled across Zakuro after work and were lucky enough to get a table thanks to a little Japanese conversation at the door. Every dish was beautifully prepared and tasted like genuine Japanese home cooking rather than the usual sushi-focused menu. The kiriboshi daikon, nanbanzuke salmon, age-kakuni and agedashi sea bream were exceptional, and the miso soup was so comforting that my 11-year-old son declared we had to make it at home. We finished with handmade daifuku prepared by the obaasan in the kitchen—37 years after first trying anko in Japan as a teenager, I finally fell in love with it. A meal full of care, balance and authenticity. We left happy, inspired and already planning our next visit.

01/06/2026: Disappointing… There were four of us for a meal with friends, and we ordered two set menus and two main courses. The wines with the tapas were very average, the red wine was served warm, and the white wine was beyond words, simply poured out onto the plants. The razor clams clearly came straight from the sea, judging by the amount of sand they were in. The red wine sauce for the sliced ​​meat was extremely bitter and far too reduced (the pieces of meat were enormous for a sliced ​​dish). Not to mention the experience of tasting a soggy French toast; a rum baba or floating island brioche would have been more appropriate. And as for hygiene, thanks for the mold on the water carafe's stopper—it certainly puts off both thirst and appetite…

08/06/2026: Excellent! After several years, we've rediscovered our favorite restaurant. A welcome change, it's transformed from a former bistro into a gastronomic gem. The dishes are exceptionally refined, with exquisite, sophisticated flavors and stunning presentation. All this in an idyllic setting, a tiny perched Provençal village. I love it. The price is fair for such a high-end experience. Bravo!
