19/05/2026: While strolling through the old town, we stumbled upon this little gem. The outdoor seating area – a narrow alleyway leading to residential buildings, with its charming and typically southern French flair – immediately invited us to sit down. The service team wasn't quite ready to open yet, but the owner gave us an exceptionally warm welcome and invited us to stay. Such attentive, truly guest-focused service is a rare find. Le Criquet is a little jewel nestled between the ancient theater and the amphitheater. A small, exquisite menu featuring regional specialties, a relaxed ambiance, and a pleasantly unhurried atmosphere. It's exactly the kind of restaurant you discover by chance in Arles – and then immediately want to return to. What's particularly lovely is that, despite its central location, everything feels surprisingly peaceful and authentic, completely free of tourist traps. The cuisine is honest, fresh, and typically Provençal – with attention to detail rather than an overloaded menu. A place to arrive, breathe deeply, and savor the moment. Greetings from Germany

14/06/2026: Everything is exceptional. He'll soon be getting his 🌟 (a French expression meaning he'll be disappointed). A word of advice: book in advance or you won't get a table. Thank you to the young man who served us with great professionalism and kindness, top-notch. FINALLY, a coffee with real flavor! I haven't had coffee in restaurants for years because it's so bland.

21/05/2026: This isn't my first time stopping for lunch at Chez Marti, but it was a delightful surprise. The leg of lamb was slow-cooked and subtly flavored, served with an excellent ratatouille. I can't recall ever having tasted such a delicious and tender leg of lamb. As for dessert, a modern take on café liégeois, it was also very good, even perfect. All this for a very reasonable price these days. Many thanks to the Chef and his team.

18/05/2026: I have done this Dinner/Cruise experience before. This time it was certainly not the same experience. So much so that I would not recommend this journey. Here's why. It rained and while that is not the fault of the provider, the leaky roof is and it dripped on us and there was no alternative space for us to move. Further, we were told the roof was recently replaced and they have problems. They had to put the 'shades' down which covered the glass ceiling and blocked the view that was the very reason one takes this cruise! The next thing is the importance of timing on the cruise. It is timed so you are right in front of the Eiffel Tower at 10 PM so you can watch 'the lady sparkle'. On this night the captain missed that time and for the most part we missed that experience! Lastly, the food. It was mediocre at best. So all in all not a $150 plus experience. Judging from the upgraded dinner services on other boats, I would try those first.

18/05/2026: We reserved the lunch time with the Royal menu. All the courses were excellent!! As we didn't get underway when expected, they made sure to extend the duration to allow the full time underway. Wonderful food, service and hospitality and we socialized with very nice people.
