20/05/2026: A decent meal for €31. Good quality, well-prepared dishes. However, the food wasn't served piping hot. The back room was noisy and poorly lit. The wooden chairs were uncomfortable. The cool temperature meant we had to keep our parkas on. Upon arrival, there was a wait to be greeted, then to find our reservation table. The two waiters seemed overwhelmed by the number of customers. They rushed through orders without listening to the customers.

30/11/2025: I went to the drive-thru this evening and unfortunately, my experience was not satisfactory. The person who took my order was unpleasant from the start. Then, when I went to pay, I tried to politely explain that I wanted to pay with several different cards. Before I could even finish my sentence, she closed the window to attend to another customer at the self-service kiosk without really listening to my request. I would have simply appreciated it if, once she came back to me, she had paid at least some attention to my request before confirming the amount on the payment terminal. The total was already displayed without giving me a chance to explain how I wanted to pay again. It's not the fact that she was helping another customer that bothers me, but rather the lack of listening and attention afterward, when all I was doing was making a simple request. A little more kindness and attentiveness at the drive-thru would really make a difference for customers, especially since I'm a regular customer and the service isn't usually unpleasant. Thanks anyway to the rest of the team.

06/06/2026: What a shame! We had such fond memories of this restaurant, where we had lunch four years ago. Unfortunately, our experience this time around didn't live up to expectations. For example, the fries in our fish and chips were reheated and not crispy, even though they made up half the dish. Customers who arrived after us were served well before us, which gives you an idea of ​​the efficiency of the kitchen logistics. The service was good, though. I hope this was just a one-off, because it's a shame to tarnish such a great memory, especially given the wide variety of restaurants in Amboise.

03/06/2026: I ordered a platter of oysters that didn't look very appetizing. But anyway, with vinegar and shallots, I ate my platter. The wait was long. And when I got home, I was sicker than ever. This deserves to be reported to the health department.

26/06/2026: I loved this brasserie before the change of ownership, but I'm very disappointed now: awful yellow paint has been smeared everywhere, whereas the decor used to be so lovely, and the service has become quite unpleasant. Such a shame.

18/05/2026: We had a delicious lunch here this afternoon. The food is truly top-notch! As a starter, I had the asparagus with marinated beef. The pleasant smoky flavor really gave the dish an extra dimension; it was very tasty. The lamb main course was also a bullseye: the meat was perfectly prepared and accompanied by flavorful vegetables and a delicious gravy. Compliments to the kitchen! The only downside lies in the setting: in the dining room, you sit quite close together and it can get pretty noisy. However, if you are willing to overlook that, you get a fantastic culinary experience in return. We will definitely be back here again!

14/03/2026: Breakfast buffet was more than adequate to get the day started: coffee machine that makes lattes, selection of fruits, yogurt, granola. Eggs, bacon, and sausages. Plenty of french butter. Dinner was spectacular, gourmet french food every night with good protein, vegetables (Braised leg of lamb, bok choy, some pea soup; Plancha duck, turnips; mashed potatoes and skirt steak, fish and some vegetables; and on your last evening it's fondue, and salad); dessert is also great with some mousse, lava cake, pavlova. Service is excellent, staff from reception Carol is warm and welcoming. The staff at the dining area Marcel, Justine, Michell are great hosts, attentive and accomodating. Very happy with my stay. The shower is adequate with hot water/ cold water in the shower. The bed is ok, i definitely wish they had bigger/ thicker pillows as the ones in my room were definitely flat. I kept my balcony door open for fresh / cooler mountain air at night. The rooms are generally quiet, the main source of noise i found was the plumbing which can be distracting. I kept earplugs on at night and that was enough to help me get restful sleep. The Olympic gondola is about a 7 minute walk from the hotel. The ski and boot storage facility of the hotel is readily available so you dont have to pay extra to store them elsewhere if you dont mind carrying them. Overall, i think it is excellent value in the region considering the food and service at an affordable price. I would happily go back! Only thing to note is that the Gondola is about a 25 minute ride to Meribel center. It is generally reliable, though in case of a breakdown, the resort sends a bus to take you from Brides les Bains to Meribel.

30/03/2026: Batman is a Kurdish town in eastern Turkey. The name does not refer to the comic character! The restaurant has two specialties: pizza and Kurdish cuisine. Most people were eating the pizza, which looked great, but we went with the Kurdish dishes. These were really authentic and tasty. Entrees and main courses. We really enjoyed this friendly place, popular with locals.
