04/02/2026: Visiting Vernon, I found a small, unassuming family restaurant that's actually very welcoming. The service was pleasant, the food was excellent and the portions were generous. Reasonable prices. I highly recommend it.

29/07/2026: We asked to be seated at lunchtime, hoping to escape the heatwave that has persisted for several weeks, but the temperature inside was almost 31 degrees Celsius! With a baby, it was difficult to enjoy the moment! What a shame! We had hoped to appreciate simple cuisine made with good ingredients, pleasant service, and a lovely dining room! We suggested perhaps adding at least two fans for the comfort of the customers, but the response was, to say the least, surprising! Namely: "It's hot for everyone, and it's an investment!" Okay, okay... The kind of response that doesn't exactly encourage you to return! If you're hoping to enjoy a nice, cool lunch in the summer, or at least in acceptable conditions, think again!

05/05/2026: Really good menu de jour at 20€ which included foie gras (+3€) and seared tuna. Very correct cooking. Good wine list.

04/03/2026: The food was outstanding; we were there with a friend and we loved it. The service was perfect and excellent until the moment of payment. I don't know if the waiter intended to make us uncomfortable, but when he presented the bill, he exclaimed, "You'll pay the full amount, I suppose." I understand that chivalry is the norm, but to imply to someone that you assume the bill will necessarily be paid by the gentleman seems inappropriate. You're mistaken, sir.

17/05/2026: We stopped by this restaurant for lunch and received a very warm welcome from the attentive, friendly, and professional staff and owner. The meal was simple but good. We recommend it.

01/01/2026: Excellent inn. For my father's birthday, we went for lunch on Monday, December 29th. A very warm welcome, a delicious meal, and a wonderful time. The staff was very friendly. My little one, who had his second crème brûlée, was thrilled because it was truly excellent (and thank you to the chef for offering it on the house). Thank you for the wonderful meal.

12/08/2026: We ate duck confit and duck breast and both dishes were delicious, it was well worth it. I just have to say one thing, the terrace was quite dirty, but otherwise it was brutal.

29/08/2026: Beautiful setting; we stopped before heading back down to the bottom of the resort to enjoy the magnificent view. The waitresses are very friendly and the prices are reasonable. We'll definitely be back 😊

16/08/2026: Be weary, it’s a tourist trap where they heat store bought can food. The kitchen is just smoking mirrors. The décor is charming and creates the illusion of an authentic French Medieval Restaurant, but unfortunately that’s where the authenticity ended. The least authentic French restaurant on our last Paris trip. We were the only table speaking French, and we felt noticeably less welcome than the American tourists around us. I had to mention my husband was vegetarian (he is actually a cancer survivor) to get a recommendation and It all felt like smiles for the tourists, while we received a very different experience. I’m French and I teach French in America. My husband made the effort to order in French et somehow two salads and a vegetable plate arrived instead of what he intended. When he politely mentioned the mistake to our server, Jean, he responded dismissively, insisting, “No, you said two salads,” making us feel as though we were at fault rather than trying to resolve an obvious misunderstanding. Later, we asked for eau plate. In France, asking for eau plate in a restaurant normally brings a complimentary carafe of still water unless you specifically request bottled water. Instead, we were served a bottle and charged $7.50 without being asked. The gratin dauphinois was excellent, but the cassoulet and duck confit (my favorite) the top grease skin was not crisp. They can’t even cook it well in a pan out of the time My son ordered the cassoulet, and the beans were inexpensive white beans rather than the traditional beans typically used in a proper cassoulet. The foie gras was served with industrial sandwich bread instead of proper French bread, which was another disappointing detail. The service continued to feel unnecessarily unfriendly. When I went to the restroom, I accidentally left the door open, and Jean called after me in French to close it. It was embarrassing and could have been handled much more graciously. Wanting to end on a positive note, I asked him about the history of the restaurant and the surrounding neighborhood, hoping to hear a little about the spirit of the place. Instead, he seemed irritated by my questions and offered almost nothing. In a restaurant that presents itself as a classic French institution, I expected someone who would enjoy sharing even a small story about the restaurant or the neighborhood. Instead, I felt like my curiosity was an inconvenience. I kept smiling throughout the meal because I wanted my husband and son to enjoy our evening, but inside I felt uncomfortable and disappointed. One of my American students had enthusiastically recommended this restaurant, and I chose it as a special family treat. Sadly, despite the beautiful décor, the experience felt like a tourist trap rather than genuine French hospitality.

12/08/2026: The waiter told us off for being 10min late, and then rushed us through the meal telling us he wanted to go to bed. Food was shocking, had the duck confit and the rabbit both were bland and vegetables were mushy. The lady cooking looked like she was being forced to cook in a dungeon that’s the only reason we paid. We watched a bear grylls movie today and I honestly would rather eat the crocodile. Bathroom was cool though.

19/05/2026: The restaurant is nice and decorated in an Alsatian style. The menu offers a selection of Alsatian cuisine. The food is typical of good Alsatian cuisine, and the portions are average. The price-performance ratio is poor and the prices are far too high for this price range. Even if the restaurant tries to present itself as more sophisticated, it remains a down-to-earth restaurant with exorbitant prices. Looking for alternatives in the area is definitely worthwhile!

03/05/2026: After visiting Haut-Koenigsbourg Castle, we came to eat at this restaurant. The welcome was very pleasant. The sauerkraut was perfect. The dessert was to die for. A very good restaurant, highly recommended.

25/08/2026: A quick stop in Ceillac for a delicious break before heading out on a hike to Lake Sainte-Anne. A great place where the dishes are fresh, flavorful, and generous. We were lucky enough to enjoy the sunshine on the terrace in a very pleasant setting. ☀️ The welcome is warm and the atmosphere friendly. A lovely spot to discover before or after a hike in the area! 🏔️🥾

16/09/2026: Unfortunately, a rather disappointing experience. With a name like La Dolce Vita, a menu heavily focused on Italian cuisine, and a 4.4 rating on Google, we were quite eager to try this restaurant. On the plus side: friendly waitress and waiter. However, the wait was quite long before we were served. The salmon tagliatelle: a small portion, a few slices of salmon on top, and a little cream at the bottom. As for the pizza of the week (cream, potatoes, goat cheese, chorizo, mozzarella), it was a huge disappointment: extremely thin crust, very little topping, and no potatoes at all. After pointing it out, the pizza was taken away, and a new one arrived quickly… but almost identical, with just a few pieces of potato added on top. Given the quality of the food served, we really wondered how much was homemade and how much came from processed ingredients, both for the pasta and the pizza. For a restaurant with an Italian identity, we expected something more refined. We explained our disappointment to the waiter when clearing our table, but there was no real conversation afterward. The same thing happened at the till: the price was announced and a rather cold "have a nice day." We would have simply appreciated a few words after our comments. It's a shame, because we've been to many Italian restaurants and this one, unfortunately, won't leave us with a very good memory.

16/09/2026: A warm welcome thanks to a smiling and, above all, very efficient team 🤩 The pizzas (cooked in a wood-fired oven) have a thin crust – tomato or cream base – and are generously topped 😋 The pasta bake is excellent!! It's with great pleasure that I regularly return to this charming restaurant with its manager who is as professional as he is friendly 😊
