I would recommend it to all food lovers :) However, for payment, you can pay in cash or by check. So don't forget to bring some with you before you go to pick up your pizzas.

18/04/2026: I wanted to sincerely thank the team at L'Expert de la Bière for their intervention last Friday evening when I felt unwell, and much more besides. They were all incredibly kind and helpful in assisting me during this difficult time, which required a great deal of courage on their part. It's such a shame my experience at this bar ended this way, because beyond their intervention, my friend and I had a very promising start to the evening. Good music, a friendly atmosphere, very reasonable prices—everything for a great night out. A huge thank you again to this fabulous team.

17/03/2026: I ordered avocado and shrimp, and a butcher's steak with blue cheese sauce. It was a generous portion and really good. Less than 20 euros. I recommend it.

02/12/2025: The takeaway food is sometimes unacceptable considering the price, as this photo shows. There are often errors in the prices charged, and sometimes we even receive the wrong takeaway order, forcing us to check every single one. For me, that's it: I won't be going back to this restaurant. This opinion is shared by several colleagues who used to go there but no longer do, having been disappointed.

22/05/2026: I come to Rennes from time to time to see a friend, and we always stop at this bar; the owners are very welcoming, and the place is great, whether you're on the terrace or inside :)

02/05/2026: Passing through the region for a D-Day tour, the hostel was great, the welcome was friendly, and the rooms were very clean. I recommend it and I will definitely return.

15/03/2026: We are two American retirees staying in the neighborhood temporarily, and have become attached to this bar for our morning coffee. We buy something to eat at a local patisserie and bring it here to have with the cafe-creme. The coffee is always very hot, and good. We think they now recognize us as semi-regulars, and fire up the machine when we walk in. We can't understand all the football talk, but there is a morning procession of small children that goes by every day, all hooked together in a "chain gang" with a teacher at each end. Quite charming, really. Highly recommended.

03/04/2026: Quiet Sophistication and Luxury Escape in Paris.

02/04/2026: The hotel is beautiful and in a great location. The staff were great and very accommodating. For some reason, a shirt went missing during our stay which was very peculiar, and when asked upon our return home, they could not find it. It somehow disappeared out of the hotel room. I would also add that at check out, I was asked for a tip on the total hotel bill, which starting at 10%, would have been in the $1,000’s just for the tip. I declined and there was no issue, but the fact that it’s even asked degrades the value of the property in my opinion. I happily tipped directly throughout my stay to housekeeping and service staff.

30/04/2026: A very disappointing experience. The wok was completely tasteless, which is particularly unfortunate for this type of cuisine where you expect flavorful and aromatic dishes. The service didn't help matters: the waiters were unpleasant, even condescending, which was frankly uncomfortable. On top of that, the noise level was unbearable. It was so loud that it was impossible to have a normal conversation without constantly raising your voice. In short, an experience I absolutely do not recommend.

14/03/2026: Very spacious restaurant with a lovely covered terrace and a large dining room. Free parking nearby. Good value for money. Wheelchair accessible. Fast service. Nice menu. Reservations recommended for lunch. Located near Sophie Antipolis, a popular lunch spot for professionals. Suitable for business meals.

26/05/2026: We were comfortably seated and enjoyed a delicious speculoos crepe, which was generously portioned (though a bit of a shame it was served in a cardboard box). The service was friendly, fairly quick, and efficient. Prices were reasonable.

07/03/2026: Terrible service and very unpleasant staff. We went to the self-service counter and asked what was in the burgers. The cook told us it was listed on the menu. Okay... great salesman's response. Then, for a children's meal, a crepe is included, but my husband was met with a very unpleasant response when he asked for it. Finally, when we asked to see the manager, she had the nerve to tell us that we were the ones with the problem and that no one else was complaining about the service... seeing the reviews... I'm not so sure. I absolutely do not recommend this place, and it will be my first and last time there.
