19/08/2026: First visit, bad experience: the beef was very tough, the fries arrived almost cold, the green beans were undercooked... We asked for a discount and oops... At the till, the waitress took the payment because supposedly the owner has an allergy... Lol... so we had to pay full price...

25/09/2026: We were greeted by a young waitress upon arrival who showed us to our table. We were a family of seven, and everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meal. The waitress apologized for any delays. Lilou was very pleasant and smiling until our departure. We returned in August with our sons, and once again, everything went just as well as our first visit.

24/09/2026: I don't recommend it to travelers; the restaurant opening hours are too limited, and not even every day. Eating when it's open is awful. As is typical in France at most service stations, the refreshment area is indicated, but it actually isn't there. You'll find pre-packaged sandwiches and snacks.

20/09/2026: Excellent food! Beautiful presentation! However, the main courses arrived before we had finished our aperitifs, which was a shame. Fast service for a classy and excellent meal. Refined atmosphere 👍

16/09/2026: A very warm welcome! Our boxer was admitted without any problems after charming the owner. We had a wonderful meal from appetizer to dessert for €26.50! Fresh, local produce, superb presentation on beautiful plates. We highly recommend it and we know where to stop on our way back from vacation! A thousand thanks to the whole team!

25/09/2026: Honestly, this is my favorite pizzeria in Argelès by far. The wood-fired oven and the quality of the ingredients put this pizzeria ahead of the others in my opinion. What's more, the owner and his partner are incredibly friendly; I feel like I'm eating at a friend's house. They're also very accommodating. I highly recommend that all pizza lovers come and see for themselves.

05/08/2026: The best kebab in all of Cambrai, and I've tried many others. The best fries in Cambrai, fair prices, and excellent service and attentiveness. There's nothing better in Cambrai; it deserves a bigger sign! I order there often, and I asked the owner for some cheese—Maroilles, because I'm from the North of France. It wasn't on the menu, but the owner tried it anyway. Even though it wasn't a success, at least he tried, and that's to his credit. Now that's a good business owner!

01/08/2026: Clearly the best kebab in town! It's delicious, inexpensive, and very fast! I go there every Saturday during my lunch break; the service is always simple but very efficient! Thank you!

08/08/2026: We had lunch at La Sirène as a family during our day trip to the island and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The ingredients were fresh and the dishes were flavorful, all at reasonable prices. The shaded terrace in front of the restaurant is simple yet pleasant, with a welcome, refreshing breeze on the day of our visit. The service was quick and friendly.

02/08/2026: The food was okay, a bit expensive at €18 for a small piece of fish, but what really shocked us was that the Parmesan cheese was completely moldy. A shame, because the service was really friendly.

08/06/2026: First and last time at Domaine du Hirtz. Very disappointed! I wasn't expecting this: mostly faulty facilities, very average food, very average service, no staff available to answer questions, sewage smell in the first changing room.... I won't be going back.

05/06/2026: We had the immense joy of celebrating our wedding at this incredible estate. It's a magical and charming place, perfect for a secular wedding with a rustic or bohemian theme. All our guests were equally captivated; the setting is truly breathtaking. Furthermore, Julianna, who was with us throughout the weekend and beforehand, was incredibly attentive and responsive to our requests. We also enjoyed the lodges, which were exceptionally comfortable and charming, perfectly reflecting the beauty of the venue. The restaurant itself is delicious, simple yet efficient. The servers are also very pleasant. It's touching that they have an initiative to employ people with visible and invisible disabilities. In conclusion, if you're looking for a wedding venue, look no further!

23/07/2026: I've been coming to this restaurant since I was very young, even before it was where it is now, when it was on the left in the smallest "place." I came back yesterday after years. The person serving at the takeaway counter wasn't friendly at all. The chicken was good, but nothing like what they used to make; it was much better. The chicken breast was €1.50 for a tiny slice, and it was completely dry and the slices were minuscule. I was disappointed, even though I was very happy and nostalgic to be back after all these years.

19/07/2026: The food is good and inexpensive, but the only downside is that you're seated too close to other people you don't know. Sometimes you're at the same table with complete strangers, which I find really annoying.

01/10/2026: This review, I hope, will be constructive. I'm sorry to give them this rating because I've never been disappointed at Castel, but this time, I feel compelled to send them a message so they understand that cooking is an art, not a cafeteria or a canteen. "Avoid serving customers inedible, almost spoiled mussels"—we're not used to this kind of service from you. Pull yourselves together and do what you do well, and leave what you don't master to others.
