07/10/2026: The food is excellent and the portions are generous. The service is impeccable. The decor is lovely and unique. In short: I highly recommend this restaurant.

13/10/2026: If I could I'd include this volunteer-run, not-for-profit restaurant in the visitors introduction tour, to show another side of Paris. It's open for lunch on weekdays. You pay a €4 membership plus about €13 for the menu, and you get a whole meal: a cold dish, a main course and a dessert of your choice, all home-cooked style. I super love their sausage and raspberry yogurt! The money goes toward providing lunches for people in need, so a good meal is also a good deed. (The proceeds don’t go to church next door I double checked). Everyone who runs it has sooooooo much heart, like your maman or papa 😭🥹🫶. They don't speak much English, but they were patient with our bad French, and everyone was warm and friendly. It was packed when we visited, and we were surrounded by locals. We ended up sharing a table with 2 charming older gentlemen and really enjoyed our lunch. After lunch, pop into the church next door, the Église de la Madeleine, look up, be wowed by how majestic it is, and drop your jaw. Napoleon appears in the apse fresco alongside Christ, Joan of Arc and other great figures, so maybe you'll understand the arrogance of some French a little better 🤪

06/10/2026: What a wonderful experience this restaurant under the Madeleine church was! The meal was delicious, well-prepared, and generous, with excellent value for money. What I'll truly remember is the setting and, above all, the kindness of the volunteer waitresses. It's so refreshing to meet such helpful and generous people. What a lovely experience... I'll be back!

13/10/2026: If you're going with a child, be sure to mention it. Otherwise, you'll be greeted by a charming gentleman who shamelessly sighs at the sight of a stroller. Fortunately, the rest of the staff managed to raise the bar. We were still left with a very unpleasant impression, which is a shame because the meal was excellent.

03/10/2026: So for my birthday we chose "Les Deux Oliviers"... Warm welcome, chairs a bit stiff... I ordered à la carte: everything was perfect - the sea bream of the day was a little bland but very fresh - My partner was quite disappointed by the starter: undercooked leeks wrapped in dry seaweed! His main course was a very fatty piece of pork loin... he was sick all night... So, for €150, a big disappointment... we were really looking forward to it!

22/09/2026: The welcome and service were friendly and efficient. A lovely experience today, opting for the three-course menu. The home-style cooking was well-executed and beautifully presented. The portions were very generous and the prices quite reasonable. I highly recommend Le Petit Saint Trop in Briare!

24/08/2026: A pleasant restaurant with a decent €38 set menu. The starter was good. The main course, sweetbreads (or bellata) with tagliatelle, was swimming in sauce. There were very few pieces of sweetbread, and they were drowning in too much cream sauce. A shame and disappointing.

22/08/2026: I thoroughly enjoyed the Touraine pie and the Beuchelle. The service was also very friendly; in conclusion, a lovely evening.
