02/09/2026: We came to this restaurant for the second time. The first time I was delighted, this time I am more ambivalent, even a little disappointed. The setting is bucolic, the signature dish excellent, but the quantities were a little limited, especially compared to the cheese plate. We had wine by the glass, and it was measured down to the last drop, even though we were in the heart of Beaujolais. What a shame...

21/08/2026: There's only one menu: an all-you-can-eat buffet. And the food is homemade. It's delicious! Don't be put off by the uninviting surrounding shopping area; the place is worth a visit. Our children loved it!

28/09/2026: When you arrive in a city you're discovering for the first time for a holiday in Calvi, there's one exceptional place you absolutely must visit: La Poivrière! A particularly warm welcome and exceptionally friendly staff: you feel at ease the moment you walk through the door. You're completely comfortable. A big thank you to Manu, Sabine, and our ever-smiling waiter. The restaurant also boasts an ideal, convenient, and pleasant location. As for the food, the chef delighted us with simply outstanding cuisine, generous and bursting with flavor. Don't hesitate to try the fisherman's platter with lobster and the capon (or scorpionfish) with its divine fresh vegetable tagliatelle, and the mussels from Diana's pond. Even the perfectly tender roasted chicken in its own juices is delicious, all at a reasonable price. The tiramisu is divine, and to finish in style, try a myrtle liqueur or a limoncello. A truly wonderful place that you'll want to return to without hesitation. Thank you to the whole team! Don't hesitate, go for it!!!

27/09/2026: Very unhelpful staff. We were served an entrecote that was obviously spoiled, had a nauseating smell, and tasted disgusting. The dish was rejected and sent back to the kitchen. Both the waitress and the chef tried to make us believe it was good, but they didn't bother to offer an alternative.

02/09/2026: Nice little bar! They offer cocktails without telling you the price beforehand, as it's not listed on the drinks menu! Otherwise, the finger food is decent, even quite generous in some cases (good value for money). Young staff!

We appreciate the flavor and presentation of the dishes; the professionalism and attentive service of the owner and staff; and the ambiance. In the summer, the terrace is very pleasant and shaded. The lunchtime set menu is excellent value for money. This autumn, we tried the chalet with the pierrade option. It was delicious, generous portions, and the setting was original and welcoming, perfect for an evening with family or friends. We can't wait to go back! 🙂

10/10/2026: A warm atmosphere that invites you to discover a cuisine full of flavor

10/10/2026: A lovely evening for two at Le Boeuf d'Argent, where we chose the Émotion and vegetarian menus. The ingredients were high quality, the meat was excellent, the service attentive and helpful, and the wine list very well-stocked. However, we found the offerings a bit underwhelming considering the price. The vegetarian menu, priced almost the same as the regular menu, consisted solely of radish, with no other plant-based protein. At a time when we're increasingly talking about rebalancing our diets with more plant-based protein, this is a shame, and it makes the price difficult to justify. A welcoming restaurant with excellent service, but the vegetarian options could be more refined and generous.
